Been coming here for almost 2 years. Not sure what has happened in the past month and a half but the gym is a polar opposite of what it was. Machines have been changed (in some instances for worse ones), half of the treadmills have switched off and haven’t had any repairs done in almost 6 weeks, the gym membership/sign up policy has far exceeded its capacity and the club is now a health and safety hazard. I do not understand why they are walking around signing up new members at this rate (they should have put in a waitlist about 50 members ago), it almost impossible to exercise or do stretches because it’s over capacity. Then lastly the smell/body odour of some of the new members is putrid and have passed this feedback to the staff.

Air con has been broken for two weeks. They obviously didnt test it at all through the winter and then it broke as soon as summer heat began. No one can say when it will be fixed. Stairmaster has been broken all year. It worked for one week in March and then it broke again. If you love treadmills, great, because there are too many of them compared to other cardio equipment, 3 of which seem to be broken for months too. Dont bother requesting new equipment to be added, as nothing will ever happen. I have sent emails, filled out forms, and NOTHING has happened after multiple years. Way too many reception staff who all seem to be oblivious to what is going on and none are on the same page. Filthy in areas like corners, dust on top of machines and inside. PT's are great and do bring a nice community to the gym. I imagine they are short on cash as they seem to have removed tissue dispensers, and now turn off machines for their "ECO POLICY". Maybe the "broken" air con helps them with this.

It's a decent gym but it gets quite busy these days even during off peak hours. It has basically everything you need. I don't often use the classes but the ones I have attended have been very good. They could probably do with reducing the amount of space dedicated to cardio equipment and adding more benches and squat racks since they are often all in use. The air conditioning also isn't great on hotter days (though fine most of the year). The changing rooms by the pool can double as a sauna they're so hot (there are also more temperate changing rooms upstairs). The lockers are plentiful and spacious. They say the most difficult weight to move at the gym is the front door. At this gym it's true both metaphorically and literally.

What in the actual fresh heck has happened to this place? They boasted about "new" treadmills but replaced them with cheap second-hand ones which are falling to pieces and constantly broken. Out of the 10 or so machines there are often just 3 or 4 working. The gym is always absolutely rammed full to capacity with queues for equipment and unfortunately the cleanliness has taken a dive as well. Far too many members, even during off-peak hours. Horrific to think how much I am paying in service charges (I live in the development) for this god awful place.

I cancelled my membership with Club Baltimore around the 10th August 2018. I understood my last payment would be the following month in September. It is now October and the gym has taken another £59.00 - I called up two days ago and received abuse and rudeness from the staff member who was dealing with my enquirary. On both occasions I was told I would receive a return call - I am still waiting. I have emailed the manager named Stephanie and have received no reply. I am disgusted and appalled by the members who are dealing with my request and would like someone else to deal with this situation. I refuse to have another month gym membership taken from my debit account and would like to be reimbursed this months pay.

Air con broken, no staff have any idea when it'll be fixed, and the staff are never on the same page. Stairmill broken for like a year! They turn off cardio equipment, lights etc and then arent around to turn it back on when people need them. Way too many reception staff also! I cant train for more than 5 mins without getting drenched in sweat because of the broken air con! No wonder nuffield hasnt reported profits in years! Now theyre trying to cut costs like crazy and it really shows - heading for bankruptcy??

Opening hours, especially on weekends are abysmal. Why on earth people cannot enter after 5pm is beyond me, are staff that powerless they cant ban people who wont leave at the very early closing time of 6pm? Gym itself is great and well equipped, PTs are nice too.

Horribly hot in the whole gym, has been whole summer. The £30 pure gym up the road is more than half the price, has half the number of people, with double the amount of equipment! This gym has one step mill, which has been broken ever since i joined apart from one week where it worked! How can they let that be the norm!!??

My corporate membership was recently extended to allow me to use this gym while our office is closed. I have attempted to visit four times and have only been allowed in twice. The first failed attempt was because the on duty manager didn't know and refused to check on the terms of my extended membership, and the second time was because I arrived 2 minutes after 9pm, an arbitrary rule that hadn't been enforced on my previous visit. Sadly, some members of their staff seem to revel in inconveniencing their members rather than wanting to provide good customer service. Would strongly recommend against joining this gym based on my experiences so far.

I am a member of this gym, and i have never felt so unwelcome at a gym. Me and my friend were made to feel intimidated and uncomfortable as staff standing around watching us. I emailed their head of management with a problem and never received a reply, I then emailed Customer Relations for Nuffield Health and still no reply to a very serious problem. Terrible customer service.

Absolutely appalling customer service from your front desk staff , I joined the Canary Wharf site and this was the closest to me that was open I was told that I could not open my membership at this site and then to make matters worst I couldn’t open the door the female and male member of staff on front desk at 11:47 rather than helping laughed this is more than inappropriate as a customer service manager myself and paying such a high price this does not match your customer service I would highly suggest that you retrain these individuals. I’m hoping that this isn’t the case and just careless people.

It looks great but the hours are short and not open at weekends. A bit off putting as you have to live or work in the area and the staff can be quite snooty. Really wanted to join as i liked the pool but decided to pay extra at the local Virgin gym due to the hours being more suitable and staff more welcoming

The classes are pretty poor. Also, they have now introduced a bunch of kids classes, so there are spaces you can't even use. You're better off going to PureGym. Save your money.

Staff are very unprofessional. A lot of swearing by staff and can be very loud. They all hang around not knowing what to do when you walk in. Very dirty, mould in showers and hair all over. Cleaners are very lazy - always on break - even staff I heard complaining about them. Equipment very old - so running machines not maintained and make a lot of noise. When equipment is broken they never fix it for 6 months….water leakage now for several months nothing happens…it is the most unprofessional Club I have seen…..if you lazy and want to hang out they are hiring….just dont join

It’s a very good gym, sometimes a little too busy but have decided to go early early morning and is a lot better, wish they had a few more weight machines such as maybe a pec fly deck or a Tbar row anything like that seems a bit too spread out. But so far so good employees are lovely, haven’t used the pool yet. Changing rooms are decent and clean and showers are nice and warm after a workout, aside from the gym equipment the only I would say is I wish their was a bit of Wi-Fi perhaps in the gym, if their is I don’t know about it but at the moment I have no Wi-Fi or 5g to stream good music without having to download or watch any workout videos to give me an idea of the exercise to do as sometimes I write it but forget completely haha, but good gym and lovely staff

There is NO mobile connection inside, so Wi-Fi is very important, especially for people who have to be always online because of work. Wi-Fi is very bad, it is not even always possible to connect and is very weak. Very expensive membership for such a price you expect the highest quality of service. I hope they read the review and listen to the client and put more Wi-Fi spots with a private password and not the entrance through the site because the site doesn't always work as it should. This is terrible. Thanks

Great gym, facilities are good and there is plenty of equipment. Staff are always friendly amd helpful. Only negatives, gets really busy at times, layout is not optimal (e.g. sled pull/push grass area is tiny and cuts right between a load of machines so it can be a pain if it is busy), and lack of bumper plates (only required if you doing Olympic lifts so irrelevant if you dont). Overall, impressed with it. Enough equipment for those just getting into working out, and plenty of heavy equipment for those who train a lot. Wish they had more boxing equipment but can't complain as it isn't a boxing gym. Weights section downstairs has 3 power racks, two bench presses, and two sets of dumbbells which is good as it can get busy. Only one smith machine but I rarely use it. I'd recommend having a visit at a time you would train to see if it is right for you.

When I wore mask and reported a hate crime (a white member was extremely rude and had aggressive behaviour to me) at gym half year old, their manager told me that due to regulations, she cannot check their cctv to identify this white member. However, recently when having argument issues with other member, their stuff had bias judgment, and inappropriate handling for my case. Later their manger did not even give me any chance to chat and clarify what happened, and just directly terminated my membership per their cctv reviews. This is indeed double standard, unprofessional and non-friendly gum unfortunately… Additionally, their closing time is supported to be 10 pm in the week. But they actually locked me inside gym once 5 years ago (without checking men’s room). It was 9:56 pm back then. How terrifying it was!

I politely asked the three receptionists (who were not busy) how could I join or if they had a flyer. Just Google us, a lady replied looking offended. Yeah, yeah, check online, a guy agreed. Really? I also noticed they are closed after working hours - so they are not 24/7 as advertised. Thanks, but no thanks.

Good gym, although a bit expensive for what you get. Some of the equipment is aged and worn down. Treadmills definitely need an upgrade, they are old, clumsy to use and not fitted for serious running workouts. The gym overall is clean and staff was nice and helpful whenever I had a chat with them.

Lots of PTs and workers standing around the door but don’t know what they are doing. Classes poor. Cleanliness is an issue. They seem to have one poor cleaner taken care of the gym but not at all times. Hygiene very questionable. Equipment not working very often and shower rooms can be disgusting and moulds on floor and ceiling. I saw them painting over it rather than cleaning.

Decent gym with adequate facilities but they have really benefited from a lack of competition in the area since Hybrid Fitness closed. The gym is often over-capacity and some members keep rudely taking up more weights and space than is necessary like they own the place, which the staff need to crack down on. For the monthly price you pay, you would expect reliable wifi (it never seems to work nowadays), better weekend opening hours and functioning air con at a minimum.

The gym used to be good but is over crowed, esp the classes - and they have barely any classes on the weekends (no yoga or Pilates on a Sunday!). The showers are covered in black mould which is dirty and dangerous for your health and several times they have run out of towels. They seem to have swished in lots or random furniture recently - such as plants pots, chairs and tonnes of bins in random places which makes it so crowded. I have passed on feedbacks but nothing ever gets changed.

Hi everyone! Want to share my review for those looking for PT trainings in this gym and I am strongly advising to get Khoa as your PT trainer. I purchased 12 trainings where we have already completed 10/12 in just three weeks! Khoa is very motivated to help his clients achieve their goals (mine is to improve my body shape as I am 63kg). What I enjoy the most is that Khoa always explains each exercise and show the right way to complete it, and technique is the key to success! He is always motivating his clients and is happy to see them progress which is really important to me. I have already started seeing changes in the miror and by measuremets and will continue training with him to achieve my end goal.

Think the only positive thing I can really say about this gym are the opening hours and boxing ring. The cleaning stations are barely topped up with new wipes and I agree with some of the other reviews about some of the staff being rude or unhelpful. Additionally, there was a loud, verbally aggressive altercation between two gym members, staff just stood there and did nothing to mitigate the situation. Other gym members were clearly disturbed by the aggressive demeanour. Disappointing way of managing that situation.

It would have been a perfect small gym if they had a sauna but it's ok. The only thing that is really annoying is the noise coming from some device in the steam room every 10/15 seconds which makes meditation or relaxing quite annoying.

Great Gym, good range of both weights and machines. Usually 2-3 classes due peak times AM, lunch as after work. Nice 25m pool and steam room. Less good for families as they have no slots at all in the week for children of any age. Great value.

I’ve been going to this gym for almost 2 years now and it’s getting worse and worse.. I have to agree with all the negative comments here. Also I would like to mention that my biggest issue is that sauna is “under maintenance” most of the time. I think I’m one year out of 12 moths is only working and available maybe 1 month which is ridiculous. I cannot comment on equipment because I only go to classes, pool and sauna (when it’s works so almost never). Pool is also most of the time overcrowded. Classes were ok one year ago, but for the last month I find it really hard to book a space even to the ones that were always available. Perhaps they’ve taken in too many new members and capacity of this gym is now exceeded. I’m thinking to change the gym because it ridiculously - when I look at the timetable for next week all classes are fully booked! Oh and also I forgot to mention that his gym is actually quite pricey, it’s like 80£ a month and most of the gyms in the area is around 35£

Full fledged gym with resistance training, machine based strength training, cardio, Swimming and few studios for classes. Lockers don't have passcode locks on them. You have to carry a padlock! That said, the lockers are spacious compared to Third space ones. No urinals for quick peeing. Towels aren't there in locker room, rather you have to collect it from reception desk! Why? The gym is in the basement and hence there's absolutely no network signal (at least not for EE), but there's a free sky wifi which involves a long signup process. I ended up missing some calls. Place is kind of hidden an difficult to locate for the first time. And the dreaded main door is so damn weird.

Throughout the gym you can automatically see the high level of cleanliness and every staff had smile and always willing to help. After visiting other Nuffield helaths branches I can honestly say this branch is above and beyond better then any other branches I have visited within the UK. Thank you.

Staff are rude and have no manners. They also cut off my padlock and my belongings went missing. There is no sign in the changing rooms saying you cannot leave things over night. The staff then said I need to buy another padlock from them after they chopped off my own personal padlock. This is not right.
