The only issue I have is with the reception staff. They seem to have a laid back approach. Laying back in there chairs speaking as if it's to much for them to do. No eye contact. No caring for the client. Drs have been great and the nurses. Reception let the place down.

Doctors are great. However the male reception staff I spoke to yesterday regarding a repeat prescription was breathtakingly rude and ignorant and seemed to delight in being as unhelpful as possible. He loftily fed me a load of nonsense regarding repeat prescriptions, insisted there had been a change in โ€œthe lawโ€ regarding them and Boots could no longer โ€œlegallyโ€ request a prescription. He also suggested that Boots were breaking โ€œthe lawโ€ when I told he they had just faxed over a prescription request. After googling this I realised he was referring to an initiative between certain North West London Drโ€™s surgeries, the โ€œBetter Prescribing Initiativeโ€. This is not a โ€œchange in the lawโ€!! He then said I couldnโ€™t reorder my prescription over the phone but he had emailed me details of my online login. No email arrived. When I called back to check on, this someone else answered who was helpful and polite took one look at my notes, expressed total confusion about what this guy had said regarding emailing me and instantly re-ordered. the prescription for me. Whoever this guy is, and I see there are other complaints about him, needs retraining, both on how to address patients in a civil manner and the prescription procedures.

I look after an elderly lady who is registered here. She has had regular appointments in the 5 years I have been with her, and the service delivery has been helpful and of a good quality. On the one occasion I had to use it myself, I also found them helpful.

Amazed that anyone could review this health centre badly. I've had the most excellent service there for the last 5 years and have never experienced anything other than lovely doctors and swift appointments. Particularly by comparison to other practices it's fantastic

I would give 10 stars if I could. Nice, clean and modern. Great people at the reception, polite and helpful. Ms Aria took blood sample from me today and was so smooth and painless. But all the kudos and thanks go to Dr Chierakul who is attentive, nice, reassuring and thorough. I love this GP practice and highly recommend it.

I have been a client here for the past 30 years and I always found the staff/health care professionals /Doctors etc personable, professional, efficient, effective and pleasant. Especially during this extremely stressful and turbulent period. Understandably ,situations may arise as in any business ,where expectations and satisfaction have not been met in the short term -however -am extremely grateful that we have ,in this country an accessible and free NHS. I have nothing but praise for all our healthcare professionals.

I can wholeheartedly say my experience from dealing with receptionists to doctors has been exemplary-- cannot say this for experiences I have had at other surgeries/hospital. The receptionists have always treated me with respect, and have been very helpful. I have some very complex issues, but the doctors I have seen have been magnificent; kind, compassionate, and wonderful listeners. The doctors have been very on top, and efficient in dealing with my issues. I am very grateful, and appreciative.

UPDATE 01/03/2019: HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE I moved to another GP as they are absolutely terrible: from customer service to the handling of the case. The GP assured me that I'll get a referral to a dermatologist by post: nothing got received since going there in January!! The receptionist even told me that the referal has been cancelled on the 31st of Jan with me still EXPECTING THAT DERMATOLOGIST REFERAL BY POST. I moved to another GP now; I won 't recommend this Healthcare to anybody unless I really want to make them suffer.!!! ------------ After a few years of living in London, I decided to register with the GP. Chose this center after reading the reviews on NHS GP . All went good, a few weeks later I get a call asking me to come for a blood test. Even a few days before the scheduled test, I get a reminder from them to be there at 8 AM. Went there at 8 AM, coping with all my thoughts ( I'm scared of blood tests) just to be sent back home as it was a mistake !!! ???!!! I should not have been booked for it!!! Way to go- so this has been my 1 st experience with them!

I have had a few blood tests - very few - as my veins are so tricky - and I always return black and blue! Imagine my surprise - and joy - when today Rosemary took one look at my arm and it was done before I knew it had started! Exceptional treatment.

I'm so glad I picked this surgery when I moved to London and was looking for local surgeries in the area. My experience of the staff and particularly the doctors, has always been absolutely exceptional! The doctors I've seen are knowledgeable, helpful, put you at ease and most importantly, you really feel they care about your health. I highly recommend this surgery and I'm very glad I'm a patient here. Thank you for the brilliant job you do!

The doctors were lovely but receptionists had seven a big issue. The practice is supposed to opened at 8 am and I tried since, was still closed at 9 meaning I have lost an important appointment because nobody would pick up the phone.

I changed to this surgery when I moved home and Iโ€™m nothing but impressed. So many people criticise the NHS for the few things that they do wrong, but donโ€™t mention all the many things that they do right. Iโ€™ve been in for a few different complaints over the last few months, and the three doctors that I have seen, have been efficient, thorough, and taking great precaution to make sure everything was checked, and followed up. Lovely people, friendly and warm receptionists as always the NHS does an amazing job with great people who work for themโ€ฆ Thank you to the surgery and the people that work here.

Nothing wrong with the clinic itself, but been pretty difficult to seek care, to be honest. Iโ€™m frequently postponed requests for in-person visits with a โ€˜letโ€™s wait and seeโ€™ approach, which results in unnecessarily worsening illness as a result of delays. Unfortunately, this has happened on 3 occasions, one resulting in my being OOO from work for several days. Ideally, I could see a doctor when I requested it - at least within a few days.

Over the past couple of years that i have been registered here there have been bad times with the reception staff. I am so grateful that the management have been making changes to how the staff deal with clients especially the last couple of months or so. The GPs are amazing people and i definatly would recommend them. I also at present commend the reception staff for allowing the changes to take place. Training goes a long way.

Iโ€™ve lived in the area 20+ years, during which time I was registered at 3 practices - this is by far the best. The booking system is efficient, the receptionist helpful, the GPs attentive and thoughtful. Iโ€™m sure that sometimes things arenโ€™t always great, but when it comes to NHS this is probably as close to best practice as it gets.

Very racist and rude Doctors and staff members, despite being unwell and having injuries, they refused to see me and refused to refer me to specialist. Dear Cavendish Health Centre, you did not gave me any appointents, I am at risk of having a stroke, I habe been by the A&E and to ask the Gp to send me to a specialist. I am pretty sure the NHS guidelines do not mention that the patients have to die to be refered to specialist! No excuse! I will sue you and your doctors, you gave me no choice! What a disgrace!

The staff have been consistently nice and understanding, and appointments arenโ€™t too difficult to come by. My only complaint is that appointments are 10 min standard, which only allows time for really one question - but this is a general NHS issue (Iโ€™m new to NHS).

I love my practice. Appointments a bit short but I guess that's nhs standards. Doctors and nurses are amazing. They are always trying to improve their service, getting more staff and online system very efficient and advanced for anything ranging from appointments to prescriptions to messaging the doctors.

I've always had very pleasant and competent service at the Cavendish Health Centre, and have been a patient of the clinic for at least 15 years. As with any busy government service, proactivity is sometimes needed on the part of the patient to reconfirm the timing of appointments and treatment procedures. Some of the negative reviews here may come from individuals who are accustomed to using private clinics, where greater efforts to provide cheerful and personalised attention to patients sometimes are made. The comment of the woman who claims she was neglected during her pregnancy is astonishing, and does not in any way reflect the sort of care I have received at the Cavendish Health Centre.

I find the practice well run. I find the reception staff helpful and most of the receptionists understand why an appointment is needed. They ring back when they say and in the main work under extreme pressure.

One star is generous. This "Health Centre" made my girlfriend cry today; what kind of healthcare place does that? Incompetent and unhelpful receptionists, and an impatient, unsympathetic and uncaring "nurse" who didn't take any of her concerns seriously, and was completely unaccommodating to reasonable requests for a less intensive test. Also a complete waste of time because they just sent her away. No wonder we're told the NHS is in crisis if it employs people like this. Edited: 3 Apr 2019. The practice manager has since called my girlfriend and was extremely polite and apologetic for the mistakes made. I am pleased that the complaint we submitted was taken seriously and that the practice has a manager who appears to genuinely care. I have increased my review stars as a result.

My husband and I have both been registered with this clinic for years and luckily have not had to use it much. My husband Spaso, who is struggling with a nose issue, is now attempting to use their services and he has been repeatedly pushed around and told different information by different people. He is insured privately and got a referral from his private GP to see an ENT specialist, but his insurance company required Cavendish as his NHS GP to release a form saying that this is not a pre-existing condition (which it is not). He paid the charge (GBP50) to Cavendish to get this form released (so we even PAID for this service) and multiple nurses told him this will be done within a day. A week has gone by and we are now being told this can take up to 28 days. What?!?! He was never told this information, otherwise he never would have paid the GBP50 to wait a month. His nose condition is serious and he needs to see his specialist ASAP, but this center is now it seems deliberately slowing down a process that actually is saving THEM time and resources (my husband is trying to use his private insurance rather than NHS resources). Now my husband is still unwell, unable to act on his referral because of some paperwork/bureaucracy which this center lied about. The 28 days only came up after multiple people assured him the form can be released within 24 hours, and now suddenly when we follow up it's 28 days. Now my husband will need to go to the emergency room as a result of these people's lies and incompetence.

Obnoxious male telephone receptionist, chronic telephone appointment service, face to face appointments so far off one will either be dead or have recovered by the time a doctor can see you. Miss the call and you have to wait 10 days I have now calmed down a bit and have received an excellent response to the comments I posted above. Overall, I think it is a good clinic

Very disappointing level of care and highly disorganised. Unable to obtain an appointment when requested and a huge lack of empathy and humanity by staff. Noticed a big deterioration in my health since joining this practice. This is the worst GP practice I have ever come across.

This surgery truly is terrible. I'm not sure how you are actually supposed to book a GP appointment with them; I've phoned them repeatedly to be left in a queue for 20 minutes then disconnected; their website is impossible to navigate. It seems to me that they are so busy that people not being able to book is probably a good thing....

All doctors are lovely and great but was incredibly unimpressed with the reception. I have been there for 10 years and always felt the same. Today i went in and politely asked a question. The man didn't even look at me and answered as if i was inconveniencing him! No eye contact no 'hello' You should be able to enter and feel comfortable and that you are in a warm safe environment. They are rude and look like we are boring them even their tone on the phone when you call to try and get an appointment. Need a serious attitude change. Would to express the fact all doctors are wonderful however.

Registered patient name is Abdul Barick. Poor experience today. I need repeat script for my diabetes drugs. I usually do this on Airmid app on my phone a week before I am about run out. The app has blocked me from doing this, as I need a medication review. I called this morning at 8 am - waited 30 mins. Previously, I could book appointments on the app. Booked appointment with clinical pharmacist for medication review. I have been unable to book a diabetes review with my usual GP - DR Choudhury for sometime as well. Told I need to request drugs via patches and it would be processed within 48 hours, even though I am about to run out of drugs. I asked the receptionist to put me on the on call GP list, so I can speak to Dr today, to get script issued ASAP, as the weekend is coming up. I was told the on call GP would not deal with medication request, even though I am about to run out. I should still be able to request medication, while waiting to book in for review! Shall I stop taking my drugs for a chronic conditions because the computer says no? Not happy about above process, I would appreciate if someone could contact me to discuss further. 1800 As expected my request for repeat medication was not processed, so now I have run out of medication for diabetes, even though I said this to the receptionist. 2nd October Practice manager contacted me. Prescription sent to pharmacy. Medications requests are processed same day, if patient is about to run out. Receptionist I spoke to was misinformed apparently. Problem sorted.

A very professional surgery. Timely call backs and referrals. Excellent doctors and a very good team of nursing staff. We transfered to this practice on moving home from another part of London W1. Sopleased we did. Of course it is sometimes difficult to get an appointment, but when the issue is urgent we have always been offered next day /on the day appointments.

Expect a change of doctors (all of them) once a month. The only GP in London that I have come across that does that. Inconvenient to see a new doctor every time I book an appointment.
