Do not book to have your wedding at this temple. Less than 3 months before my wedding last year I found out that they had booked another wedding on the same day. My parents booked a date for my wedding with the priests in 2021 and paid a deposit. They then visited the temple multiple times and spoke to various priests regarding the wedding and there was no mention of the double-booking. The temple staff then told us my wedding had been overlooked because it had been booked in the 2021 physical diary and not transferred to the 2022 diary, indicating that the double booking was simply due to a dismal lack of organisation rather than an intentional choice. However, they also mentioned to my parents that the other couple were doctors, and the groom was white, suggesting it was actually very much intentional. I do not understand why these facts were relevant, but you can draw your own conclusions as to what they are implying by bringing them up. They also lied about contacting my father earlier in the year regarding the mistake - there was no evidence of the call, and they ignored me when I asked them to provide the number they had contacted him on. After deciding to move my wedding to another venue and dealing with all the stress this entailed so close to my wedding date, I requested my deposit back from the temple and only received £450 of my £500 deposit. When I queried this via email multiple times I was ignored. I was then informed by my parents that the temple had called them to inform them that the £50 was an administration fee. Not only was this outrageous because all they did was book my wedding in the wrong calendar, but because they had clearly ignored communication with me and targeted my elderly God-fearing parents in a sly attempt to hold on to this £50. Throughout the whole incident it felt to me that profit was the priority for the management at Shree Gnanapathy Temple and not fulfilling worshippers’ dreams of getting married where they grew up worshipping.

The main deity of this temple is Lord Ganesha and we visited this temple during their annual Brahma Utsava period. We visited the temple around 6:30 PM and that's the time where Main Priest performs the Maha Mangalarathi and it's the best time to visit the temple. When we visited they performed Abhishekam, Paalaki Utsavam and Arathi to the main deity. It was a detailed Arathi and it took around 2 hours, It was a real treat to the eyes. They also served prasadam after the Arathi and it was also too delicious. If you are an Indian and if you are missing Indian rituals and temples then if you visit this temple then you feel like Home. We drove by car to the temple and there is no big parking option so you need to squeeze somewhere on the road.

This is one of the best temples in London. It’s beautiful, enchanting and serene. I feel very peaceful and come here every week to cast away all my troubles. I always leave the temple feeling better than when I entered it. There is positive energy in the temple and priests are polite and friendly. There are weddings at this temple as well, which is simply awesome! This temple is a hub for various cultural activities for children and it’s nice to see that they are encouraging the Indian culture and values. I will continue to visit it.

Small oasis of calm in Wimbledon. Hindu temple with enough space for quiet contemplation. Dedicated to Lord Ganesh, also has sanctums for all other major Hindu Gods. Worth visiting.

Visited the temple for GaneshUtsav. They were getting ready for the pooja for the next day's festivities. South Indian styled temple. They have very good statues of gods and goddesses. Very restricted parking spaces. On road paid parking available. Great South Indian ambience.

Started the new year with a prayer to Ganapati. Well organized and the archana basket was well set. We went during pooja time and given it's new year day, was crowded. On road parking too was full hence we parked in a parallel street and visited temple. Well kept and maintained temple.

Visited here with family for the first time and we all enjoyed our trip. A very beautiful temple. A very calm, meditative tranquility inside. Ideal for prayer and meditation. Such a relaxing, comfortable atmosphere inside. You’re not rushed to move on like in other temples. The architecture and murtis are very ornate and very visually appealing. They are mind blowingly beautiful.

One of the oldest consecrated hindu temple's in London, it is well worth a visit for a ganesha temple, but also for the sai baba here. It also gives you a bit of a understanding of how the community enriches the area. Well worth a visit. Tip. There is no direct office, just tell the priest you want to do a archana and give a donation at the machine to cover the cost to help the temple.

A peaceful, South Indian style temple with a nice, inviting aura. The entrance is from the side. The temple also has a section dedicated to Sai Baba. The priests are polite and friendly. Not sure of the timings, but they did pooja for us at 8pm. The pooja lasts for around 20 minutes. Overall a nice temple.

Just wish they didn't take all the bays and park dangerously. The event happen after 6.30 yet residents can't park at all. Several times my car has been hit and looking for a lady who Reserved in to my parked car. The Temple need to enforce strict parking rules as if I get ticket it is because I don't have space.

Very impressed both inside and outside. I have lived in the area for years and never knew we had a Hanuman temple near us. It is hidden on the ie road and residential area. There's not enough parking spaces. Give a thumbs up if you find this information useful.

I recently had the privilege of visiting Shree Ghanapathy Temple, and it was an incredible experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a sense of peace and tranquility. The temple's architecture is stunning, adorned with intricate carvings and vibrant colors. It truly reflects the rich cultural heritage of the community. The serene ambiance immediately put me at ease and allowed me to immerse myself in the spiritual atmosphere. The priests were welcoming and knowledgeable, guiding visitors through the rituals and traditions with warmth and patience. Participating in the puja ceremony was a memorable and meaningful experience. Moreover, the temple's surroundings were well-maintained, offering a beautiful garden area to sit and contemplate. It was a perfect spot to find some solitude and connect with my inner self. Overall, Shree Ghanapathy Temple is a place of spiritual solace and cultural significance. Whether you are a devotee or just seeking a peaceful retreat, this temple is definitely worth a visit.

I couldn't visit Ghanapathy temple temple for a while due to the pandemic. But I was able to watch the life streaming of the Poojas. Thank you very much for all the people who made this to happen at this difficult time. Special thanks for the personal archanai performed on the on the day of Homum and the vedio clip you have sent to me. Special thanks to the Aiya who performed. For all our family, it was a privilege and heartwarming to watch the archanai from our home. Again a big heartwarming thanks to everyone who made this to happen. God bless you all.

First time visited this temple. Priest was helpful and social distancing observed by every one. Only thing would say during current circumstances of Coronavirus they need to give more details of the opening times on the website so no one has a wasted journey and then getting there find out about the opening hours.
