I
visited
this
Starbucks
branch
yesterday
with
my
son
and
my
partner.
I
am
33
weeks
pregnant
so
I
was
hoping
to
be
able
to
use
a
toilet
at
the
store
while
waiting
for
our
drinks
to
be
made.
There
was
a
sign
on
the
side
stating
that
the
toilets
are
closed
(fair
enough
during
Covid
situation)
but
mentioning
that
if
you
are
a
nursing
or
an
expectant
mother,
you
should
ask
a
staff
member.
Assuming
this
means
I
will
be
an
exception
(how
else
would
you
understand
this?)
I
asked
politely
the
lady
serving
me
at
the
till
but
she
answered
the
toilets
are
closed
and
I
can
go
to
a
shopping
centre.
I
asked
why
is
the
sign
there
then,
why
does
it
mention
nursing
and
pregnat
mums.
She
reacted
in
a
confused
way
so
my
partner
told
her
that
I
am
pregnant
(maybe
she
didnt
see)
so
she
said
that
she
will
go
and
check
with
someone.
She
asked
one
of
her
colleagues,
came
back
in
a
few
seconds
and
said
I
can't
use
the
toilets.
I
felt
quite
confused
and
just
clarified
ok,
but
I
dont
understand
why
its
written
on
your
sign
then,
so
I
cant
use
the
loo?
Simple
no
with
a
smile
was
given
as
an
answer.
I
just
moved
away
to
wait
for
my
drink
then
but
remained
very
confused
after
this.
No
apology
or
reasoning
given
whatsoever.
My
drink
(strawberry
and
cream
frappe)
was
then
made
too
sweet
(I've
had
it
before
and
this
tasted
like
all
I
was
sipping
was
a
syrup)
but
the
barista
very
kindly
made
a
new
one
for
me
which
was
much
better.
After
our
visit,
I
walked
in
to
Pret
a
Manger
next
door,
asked
first
staff
member
if
I
can
use
a
toilet...she
did
say
it
is
for
customers
only
but
seeing
that
I'm
pregnant,
she
let
me
use
it
anyway.
We
all
know,
what
it's
like
in
pregnancy
-
when
you
have
to
go,
you
have
to
go.
So
I
was
really
grateful
for
her
attitude.
I
understand
the
situation
we
are
in
but
it
would
be
lovely
if
Starbucks
and
their
staff
would
be
a
bit
more
accommodating
in
this
way.
