Such a gem! Hidden between garages and underneath the train line you'll find this wonderful "diner" with an excellent choice of dishes and menus for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Clearly very popular among locals, and when you have experienced their efficiency, sweet and personal service and tasted their food, you understand why! It was a bit cheaper for us to have breakfast here than at our hotel, and the atmosphere and the quality of the food was just so much better!! We visited several times, and I cannot recommend "Arches" enough 😃 👍

Arrived early, to meet two friends, near the Sheperd's. Entered "Arches Cafe" chose a Cafe & ham burger/chips. Midday snack. Ask Millie & Hanna.. polite, helpful. Made my day, with a *smile* Tks. Chxx

Arches cafe. Exactly where you would expect to find it, in the arches, in Bethnal green between taxi garages. I was early for an appointment and thought I check this place out. You would expect a cafe between two taxi garages and under a train track to be a greasy cafe. This was the complete opposite. So clean from the chefs cooking areas to the tables and chairs..I had a basic eggs toast and chips. Food was hot just the way it should be, coffee was and frothy. The hosts are amazing, so welcoming. Always support local!! Will be going back..

20230628-1936 Arches Café, Three Colts Lane, London E2 6J9 Salaam Balaam, 2 years ago! His Review “Nothing special Greasy food Wouldn’t go a again.” Told he’s still a Customer regularly gets Breakfast there, has been known to ask for a Discount, hates the Fact that they Cook Pork in the Café as he is a Muslim! Hence Nasty Review! Sean Pender, A year ago,, His Review “Food is what you expect from a cafe but the prices are out of this world not worth it at all” Told he still has breakfast there regularly, and He was Complaining about the Price, hence the Review My Review, if is Found to Be Overbearing, Intense or too Complimentary, Please Bear in mind I have Only Been Leaving Reviews Properly Since the Beginning of June 2023, yes this year, it’s the First time Ever for me, I have only this June become Confident Enough to Leave any Reviews! I Personally Believe there are Just as Good a Reason to Leave Truthful Good Café Reviews as There are Reasons to Leave Truthful Reviews About Bad Cafés too, so Arches Café is Getting my Vote in the form of a 10/10 Review (that means 5 Stars if Anyone Doesn’t Understand Me)! The reasons for it getting 5 Stars is Due to the Following: I initially Asked for the Arches Cafe’s Details as this was the 5th Time I have Visited the Arches Café (in Three Colts Lane, Bethnal Green) with Friends, I felt Comfortable and at Ease there, as I did from my first Visit! The Staff there are Friendly and good at Remembering how You Like Your Coffee as I have Especially made a Point of Asking for A Stronger Black Americano due to My Personal Taste only because I haven’t ever found Cafe Coffee Strong Enough for Me (All of the Cafe’s I have Visited don’t Make it Strong Enough for Me, as I Like it Near Espresso Strength, Always). Since my Commenting about my Preference Previously, I have Now always made a Point of Mentioning and they Have Continually Been Most Excellent in Bringing it Exactly the Way I Like, a Gorgeously Strong Black Americano, Today They even Warned me to be Careful as it was Extremely Hot, and Warned my Friend Similarly when they Brought Out His Food, I Know, isn’t it Disgusting that they Actually Serve Hot Food! My Friends Regularly Eat There Too! I Have Understood from My Friends too, that they Have Refurbished the Café Quite Some Time Ago and I find it Quite Pleasant in its Present Fixtures! I feel I could have been Just as Content with it in its Previous State of Repair, I am sure of this, as Back in The Day I was a Regular at Nico’s Cafe at the Junction of Cambridge Heath Road and the Bethnal Green Road, and found the Furnishings and Fixtures there Made me Feel Right at Home too! For all those who Remember it, Nico’s always made you Feel Welcome and His Food was Just Brilliant, Nico was an Amazing Person and I always found him to have a most Generous Nature, he was a Diamond of a Character and I am not Sure if Anyone Other than his Family Feels This Way, but I Sorely Miss him Being Around, I always Felt Good as After Having Eaten There and it Wasn’t Just Because I was no Longer Hungry! Two Visits Back at the Arches Café, I was Hungry and Had their Vegetarian Breakfast, it was Truly Good Value for Money, and Very Tasty too! I am quite careful when it Comes to Recommending somewhere, as I feel my Friends and Family are Important to Me, and they Deserve Very Good things and as I have been using the Arches Café for 5 weeks now I will be Highly Recommending it, but Please Keep it on the Down Low as I would like to be able to still go There, and if People find my Review Acceptable, the Arches Café may be too busy to Fit me in? I had never been Served any Food Before so I made a Point of Remembering the Experience, they were very Polite and Friendly, the Breakfast looking most appealing, and was Very Nicely Presented! I was told Being Neighbours and Being a Caring Nature the Arches Cafe’s Owner Offered the Use of its Kitchen to Owner the of “Korean BBQ and Vegan- Mile End Road”, (5 Mile End Road, Bethnal Green, London E1 4TP”

This place is great! Amazing little café under the arches (clue is in the name) of an elevated railway. I had a breakfast here and couldn't fault it. Sensible prices, charming staff, very clean, good food, oh and the coffee was good as well. My photo of the menu is dated 15th December 2023. Highly recommended.

Breakie or just a cuppa, this place has the right veriety. I must admit the tea here is better then most cafe. The food is tasty, with right amount of seasoning shows experience in cooking. They serve Halal food also. Parking is non existent so if you are in a vehicle may need to take a walk. Staff members are friendly and very welcoming.

Possibly the best fry up I’ve had in London, great flavour and great portion sizes. The customer service was top notch, the staff were friendly, and the food was made very quickly. I’ll be sure to visit again soon!

Advice was given when we mentioned places we were going. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area. 10 out of 10 service

We travel from out of town, to perform at Bethnal Green Working Mens Club once in a while. Whenever we do, we try and make a point of visiting The Arches tge morning after. Beautiful food, at very reasonable prices - especially for London. The owners are always friendly, and remember us - and ask how we’re doing. I recommend the American Breakfast, my husband’s a fan of the small full English. Clean and cosy, with a welcoming atmosphere - a proper London cafe!

Classic East London cafe, still at blue collar prices. It's not retro, it's just not changed. If you're looking for anything other than 1980s style British food, you're looking in the wrong place. To be honest, the food and coffee are about as good as you could hope for classic, working-class appropriate East London cafe. Don't expect a great latté nor artisanal eggs benedict.

If I could give this cafe more stars I would. There are not many places that give great service AND great food, consistently, but this place does. They really do treat me like family and always make me feel welcome. The variety of food that they offer is fantastic and very tasty. Definitely worth a visit 👌🏼

A great cafe! As with all of London’s best kept secrets, if you want to find them, ask the black cab drivers, and this is where they go for breakfast! Just as good as Pelicci’s but no endless celebrity endorsements, hence no annoying queues.

Came with two friends for the afternoon tea - you have to book this in advance, but it's definitely worth it. The table was set up when we arrived and looked lovely. We were quickly served our prosecco and tea, and the food came shortly afterwards. They were great about accomodating our dietary requirements, and the food was absolutely delicious (especially the tart!) It's a lovely little spot and we'll definitely be returning. Unfortunately I didn't catch the names of our servers - we were served primarily by one man and then another took our payment, but they were both fantastic. Thanks for a lovely afternoon!
