It
was
my
birthday
and
my
wife
who
was
back
in
my
home
country
called
me
and
suggested
I
should
still
treat
myself
with
a
nice
dinner
even
when
I
am
living
alone
and
without
her
company.
I
took
out
my
phone,
looked
at
Google
Maps,
and
I
decided
to
give
Richard's
Kitchen
a
try.
It
took
a
fair
walk
of
~30
mins
from
my
home,
and
the
weather
was
cold
after
the
rain
earlier
in
the
day.
Well,
it
turned
out
to
be
well
worth
it.
Whatever
expectations
I
had
before
entering
the
restaurant,
Richard
and
his
lovely
staff
have
exceeded
them
all!
Richard
and
the
rest
of
the
staff
greeted
me
in
such
a
genuinely
kind
and
caring
way
that
I
felt
at
home
almost
instantly.
Maybe
it
was
also
because
there
weren't
too
many
customers
at
the
time
so
they
were
not
as
busy,
but
still
it
was
a
really
personal
and
seriously
enjoyable
touch,
which
is
really
appreciated!
Everything
from
the
starter
to
the
main
dish
tasted
so
good.
They
even
kindly
made
a
special
dish
for
me
to
make
my
B-day
special.
Even
the
MINT
tea
was
well
made
with
fresh
mint
leaves.
Last
but
not
least,
the
dessert.
I
loved
it,
period.
I
never
expected
to
have
such
a
great
dining
experience
in
a
restaurant
which
may
look
absolutely
ordinary
from
outside.
Richard
and
his
team
really
put
their
heart
and
soul
into
running
this
space,
and
yes
I
can
feel
it,
see
it,
and
of
course
taste
it.
They
totally
deserve
more
customers
than
they
currently
have
given
the
quality
of
food
at
a
very
fair
price.
I
look
forward
to
getting
back
there
regularly
as
long
as
I
still
live
somewhere
around.
Thanks
Richard,
we
only
had
a
brief
talk
but
you
have
successfully
impressed
me
as
a
talented
chef,
warm-hearted
restaurant
owner,
and
a
genuinely
great
human
being.
