Beautiful church!! Very peaceful and quiet in there to spend some time in reflection and prayer. The church has beautiful pictures and statues, especially of Saint Anthony and Saint Jude at the entrance. It is well maintained and clean. Worth a visit or to attend the service.

Beautiful church, unfortunately some of the congregation are representative of the area.... rude , snooty and nasty. We attended Mass with our 18 month old son. He is a toddler, he runs around and is noisy, like many toddlers . My husband, a revert , and i noticed many people staring at us going SHHHH at us really loudly. A mass isn't some pretty ceremony happening in Latin, it's supposed to give us the necessary graces to go through life and achieve divinity in heaven. Surely the parishioners should go to mass and be charitable , after all, children are members of the church as well as adults and have a right to be in mass too. Or should I leave him at home with a nanny, and hope he practises Catholicism when he is older? I wonder how many of these rude parishioners have their children still attending mass 20 years later 🤔 ? I doubt many. Maybe they just enjoy the nice music and stuff being said in Latin. It would do well for the priests to welcome ALL parishioners, including us tired old parents , maybe put something in your newsletter to remind people to be charitable once in a while. Or pressure devout Latin mass supporters to sit at the front to hear the priest easily. Not at the back where us parents have to sit. Kind regards and God Bless Joanna, George and Adrian

Near the Wallace Collection at the historic Hereford House, you can find an attractive English Gothic style church on George Street called St. James's Catholic Church. This church was built in 1890 by Edward Goldie and unofficially connection to the Spanish Embassy. The building isn't as decorative as many medieval Gothic churches you might have seen on the continent but it still provides tell-tale signs of Gothic architecture style and is enjoyable to look at. Here you can see the expected flying buttress, modest window arches and a few gargoyles as well as a rose window on the exterior of the church. Inside, you can see a rather narrow nave with high vaulted ceiling as some nice stain-glassed windows above the alter. It is a a bit modest all the way around. In the end, not one of our favourite churches in London but something that fans of Gothic style might enjoy seeing before or after visiting the Wallace Collection just down Spanish Place street at Manchester Square.

One of the loveliest churches in all London. The congregation is really wonderful and kind and the mass service was most wonderful. The neo-Gothic architecture and interior decoration is wonderful and greatly contributes to the sense of a solemn and holiness that the church gives.

A stunning example of late 19th century Gothic architecture with fine side chapels. The traditional Latin Mass is celebrated here on Sunday as well as the modern Roman rite. The parish has an highly-regarded choir which sings at the principal Mass on Sunday. The Church is 5 minute's walk from Bond Street tube, so if you are in the area, it is well worth a short detour to visit.

A valuable reminder of the support that Spain gave to Catholics in these isles during the penal law period. St James's Spanish Place near where the Spanish Embassy Chapel would have been. The Church is a peaceful oasis between Baker Street and Bond Street. It has a wonderful martyrs altar. A crucifix belonging to Cardinal Merry Del Val born I think in London. Sadly in my view the war memorial chapel has been turned into a piety stall. Nonetheless a beautiful church.

Quite simply just a stunningly beautiful and peaceful church to visit. The interior is quite striking, and it's almost disorientating in a strange way to walk in off of a standard London street and then suddenly find yourself in such a remarkable space. Very much looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful inside, the priests usually have something insightful to say and you can occasionally catch beautiful hymns sang by a group of men and women with angelic voices.

A very fine 19th cent neo-Gothic church. I attended a Sunday afternoon NO low Mass which was celebrated with due reverence. Mass in the EF is celebrated on Sunday morning.

A stunning Catholic Church in the heart of London. We often attend the Sunday Mass here with our family and we just love it. We had our son baptised here as well. Everyone is welcomed, the architecture is amazing, the light is beautiful and you can also have a walk around the church to enjoy the art. Beautiful, peaceful place.

I love churches and this is one of the best ones I've seen and been to. It is gorgeous, well looked after, clean, and well organised. It has got even card payment to donate in case you don't have any cash, making it easier for us. The church offers street kitchen for the homeless and people in need.

Beautiful church in the middle of Marylebone, I had no idea it was here so I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in right before the daily Mass at 12:30, very lucky! Really enjoyed the service. Definitely an architectural gem worth seeing!

A very beautiful, atmospheric church. We came for sung Mass on Sunday morning and it was rather like attending a concert as the mass setting was by Mozart. A unique experience.

Stunning Church, incredibly beautiful with a lot of history. Wonderful 15th century statue of St Anne in the Lady Chapel, along with a beautiful reredos of the assumption. The high altar is a true vision of heaven. Definitely worth a visit and I can't wait to go back to Mass.

Life is always busy in London. St. James' is my oasis of calm amid the bustle. I can de compress for a while and think of life and loved ones. Taking some time in silence and contemplation reminds me of how much I have to be grateful for.

Superb 19th century Gothic church, particularly atmospheric after dark. The organ is perfect for the building so live music is an especially fine experience. Not to be missed.
