VauxWall West gives strangely TARDIS like vibes. It looks suspiciously small on the outside but keeps expanding when exploring inside. So, I must say it's a pretty efficient usage of space (time and dimension lol). The route setting here is excellent, incredibly challenging problems that had me scratching my head with curiosity as opposed to frustration. Like Arnie himself "I'll be back"...

Lots of different climbs with varying difficulty. Nice to go by yourself, work friends or take a class with one of the friendly and talented instructors.

Really impressive climbing center! The grading seems to be a bit higher than I am used to for same grades, but the variety of hold types and boulders is huge, and the area is very large! Also love the app integration with the possibility of logging sends.

Very friendly staff, the general crowd that goes here are friendly. I went out of peak hours, and was really happy to have most of the facility to myself. It has a great warm up area. The routes are very progressive so will suit all levels. Their shop is very competitive, great discount for joiners on gear. It’s super easy to access of the Victoria line, only a couple of stops to the center of London.

I’m a Belgian climber just passing by, thought it was absolutely marvelous. Opens at 6 am, absolutely wonderful for people passing by(I had a train at 13:00 but still got a 4 hour session in) Wonderful staff, very helpful. Really well maintained holds, and a wide range of different beautifully set routes with all sorts of styles and hold sets. Grades go from V0 to V8, with entertwining grades, as well as a circuit wall which is graded differently. Very large gym compared to any I’ve seen before, I couldn’t try all the routes even if I had the whole day. Training Facilities were very nice, had everything a climber needs. The Brownies were awesome, the noodles were meh, I’d recommend just taking a brownie and a fruit if you wanna breakfast there, it’s pretty cheap, and proper good. Overall awesome gym, would def recommend, I rarely rate anything on Google but this was a great experience.

Deceptively big wall, and well equipped for novices. Friendly staff and great offers (that you get given once you’ve bought your first climb)

On my first visit the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The changing areas were clean albeit slightly crowded. I went around 6/7pm on a weekday so it was very busy but not uncomfortably as there are plenty of rooms to move between. All in all a good experience and very accommodating for a novice climber like myself.

Friendly staff and good routes. I enjoy their comp wall although not so much of crazy running and jumping dyno style. The wall is relatively low as the facility is under the overground rail. You can park bikes inside the gym.

OK, really 4.5. The staff were uber friendly and allowed me to stash my bag in their office as the lockers were too small. Lots of chambers offering more problems than you'd think. There was a nice buzz about the place and well worth the visit. The food offering is very limited but you can see why: space and Vauxhall market a few minutes around the corner. Loses half a star as height is restricted, lockers small and training limited too when compared to bigger venues, but it does very well with what it has.

I have been coming here for years - excellent bouldering centre with loads of different varied routes, good grading (maybe on the difficult side compared to other centres), staff welcoming and really good atmosphere (especially in the mornings and off-peak).

This place is designed to individuals fitness levels from basic to advanced. It's been a long time since I've done bouldering and happy that im doing it again. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable they make you feel calm if you are feeling slightly nervous. Members of staff try their best to know you on a personal level.  Those that haven't done bouldering before you are in safe hands, you will have an introduction video which must be watched pre registration this is 5 minutes long. Also, you can find this online as it's highly recommended to watch. It teaches you health and safety, and techniques to follow. Prices are split by, pay as you go, bulk buy, pre paid membership, and recurring membership. This also depends if you go during peak and off peak times. You can hire trainers for bouldering at the rate of £3.80 (bring your own socks) or purchase new ones at the venue. They have a small shop. Due to popularity, there have been developments at the venue. You have a variety of bouldering rooms all range at different levels. There are facilities which include lockers, toilets and a mini gym where you can lift weights. I do recommend to come with friends as they can always guide and give you that moral support when climbing. It was such a fun day the atmosphere was fantastic. I'm making the most of Vauxhall as I won't be here for too long and hope to find another bouldering place like this. Highly recommend a visit.

Been going climbing to this place since 2017 and they have recently expanded the place. I do find the staff not so welcoming all these years. Make sure you fill in the waiver form if you do not wish to wait around. The problems on the wall are great and the coffee is great!

A great centre. It's a bit smaller than Vaux East, and the layout isn't as exciting, but they've made excellent use of the space, have great setting, and are super easy to get to. Almost all the available wall space is used for climbing, even using spaces with low ceilings for traverse walls. Well worth the visit.

Great place to go, really friendly for beginners! It's the first time I've been climbing and the staff and other climbers were really welcoming. Went off peak and there was loads of space for us to try any of the walls. Great fun and a fantastic work out. I would recommend trying it out!

A great place to boulder! Stopped by a few times while on vacation and had a great time. The location is a decent size, with about three rooms of problems. It was super close to my hotel, so it was easy to walk to. Though the height wasn't as high as what I was use to at my home gym, I found the problems to be really fun and intriguing. What they lacked in height they made up for in clever and fun route setting. Highly recommended.

My friend and I had a 1 hour private induction class with Oliver who was excellent! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and there was a great atmosphere. This was the first time I had ever climbed and I was one of the oldest participants but there was no judgement.

First time I went to climbing and so this place. I really liked it, the community is very friendly. Already considering to get a membership card. Also, its a good location and easy access from the station.

Much better than I expected based on pictures - there are 4 or 5 rooms, lots of nice mid-level problems. Good showers and nice small weights gym. When I was there - not crowded at all. And really easy to reach with public transport. The only thing is that it's a bit chilly (winter with 10 degrees outdoors, some doors wide open...) - take long sport pants instead of shorts!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff! Tom, one of the staff members, gave me a warm welcome, was very friendly and helpful :) Centre was clean and had such a chill vibe, great place to climb by yourself or with others.

My definite go to climbing gym. It's so easy to pop in and climb a couple hours. They have made climbing during Covid safer and easier for us.

Not air conditioned, but big open sides for air flow. Not bad price, range of difficulties available. Doesn't hugely cater to the shorties of the world

Go to VauxEast instead This is the closest climbing wall to where I live but I avoid going there whenever possible. All of the holds are extremely worn and difficult to use even with vigorous brushing. Routes need to be reset far more frequently for a centre with so much traffic as the holds are filled with chalk or rubber and lose all friction they might have had when they were put up months ago. I found myself slipping and falling far more frequently than when I climb anywhere else. Variety of walls is very nice for a small centre and I believe they are expanding into the next arch. The music is very vibey as well

The staff has continously, without fail, been supportive enthusiastic and caring. The facilities are kept clean, climber purposed and state of the art. Not to mention the routes are interesting, challenging and involves alot of wonderful (expensive) holds. Namely Jihin and Oliver has been superb.

Exactly what you want from a bouldering gym. Incredibly friendly staff, interesting and well-set problems, space utilised well, and designated areas for weights, warming up and training. 5/5

Very spacious even if it looks small from the outside. Good and regular setting and a nice cafe area to relax a bit in the mornings when it's quiet

Super friendly staff and cool atmosphere all around. I came here from the airport at 6.30 am and was welcomed with a smile and a nice coffee, before I slipped on my climbing shoes and went to work on some really cool problems. The setting is top tier and the slabs were hard as nails. Got a bit frustrated, had a nice warm shower and headed for my hotel. It was a quite spontaneous visit but still one of the highlights of my London trip!

I brought my daughter to have her first climbing lesson here this afternoon. Absolutely great experience for us both; couldn't fault the facilities or the staff. Ollie was very nice and made her feel really comfortable; as a first time climber, she was excited but nervous and he was able to set her a range of problems within her ability level whilst testing her and encouraging her to do her best. Great fun, well worth the money and we'll be back. Thanks everyone.

I absolutely love this place. The staff are friendly, helpful, and encouraging! The climbing areas are always clean and safe. Climbers are friendly too. *Shout out to two of the staff members, (I wish I knew their names- one usually works the front desk and the other does the young climber lessons, both wear glasses). I have had a difficult few weeks and the kindness I've received from them, keeps me coming back to this wall- it has been a safe haven. Thank you, Vauxwall. <3

This was my first experience with rock climbing and it was pretty fun. I was surprised with how independent everyone is as i thought Id be supervised and on a harness but this was not the case and i liked that. Super friendly staff. Also has a small gym. I feel it is a little to expensive for me to continue with a membership however I can see why climbers love the place.

There are plenty of climbing problems of a wide range of levels. The centre is well equipped and has a training area. Also, I like that it's open throughout the week and until late. It has two downsides: 1. Each climbing room is smallish. 2. As a consequence of No. 1, it can get pretty crowded when the centre is busy.

👍👍 my 'local' great gym if you are into ropes but there is also very decent bouldering section. At the beginning of the year they have amazing price promotion on the yearly pass, works cheaper than just 3 pay as you go visit p/month. Bargain!
