This was first time at Go Ape. The reception area is either very empty or very busy. The groups tend to get bunched up in time as there are always late arrivals etc. At the entrance to each respective route, the staff try very hard to be very slow to pace the people and spread them evenly as they finally enter. But in realise this is very frustrating as kids do not want to wait around, it took us 45 minutes from completing check-in to actually being clipped into the route. The safety practice took 5 minutes, the rest was waiting around. Staff use this "launch area" to be as slow as possible to space out the groups, which is fine, but at least maybe try to make it fun for the people while they are waiting around. There was zero enthusiasm and that negative energy could be easily felt. Once you are on your route it's luck of the draw how quick you will progress depending on whether you are in front of your group or stuck in the middle or back behind less adventurous / experienced or simply afraid of heights people. Eventually (after the first hour) it was fun and we were able to move quicky after all the slow / afraid people in the front decided to stop. We have been to similar climbing centers elsewhere in the world, and what helps everyone's enjoyment is having the ability to overtake / let people pass you by on the platforms. This is simply achieved by having the cables go around both ways. Otherwise its impossible to create a safe non-pressured environment for inexperienced guests and remove the frustration for those that are confident and want to go fast. The facilities otherwise are pretty big and have all the usual kinds of obstacles as you normally find at a place like this.

It’s worth exploring this place with thrilling mindsets: yes, I and my kid did this course. I am really proud of myself and my kid. This structure, yes it is really getting high and high as you are rounding and rounding along with the processes. After doing all the courses, you can feel the achievements that never felt in your lifetime: at least it’s been a while for me to get healthy thrills like this. Good to go. Ah, we went to course for thise who is over 140cm height.

I’m terrified of heights so each step was a challenge, each zip line a question mark and each drop a “hello grandma”, but I enjoyed this nonetheless. If you have Tia working you’re safe! She did wonders for my courage. She’s a legend, a gift, an angel, a Batman incarnate and down right awesome! Also thanks to everyone else, especially the awesome staff member encouraging me during the bungee drop😅

Perfect place for those looking for an adrenaline rush, with with a challenging yet fun course. Staff were helpful, friendly and felt safe throughout. Tia carried out our induction and did a great job encouraging everyone when needed. Recommend to those who are looking for a challenge and can handle heights!

Amazing experience out there and faced my fear of heights. Managed to do it all apart from the last one! Might need to come back and do it and overcome that!

We visited the GoApe at Alexandra Palace and the team there made our experience a memorable one. The team, ably led by Tom were professional, friendly and very patient with our group. Max was an excellent trainer and supervisor and Fraser was outstanding in supporting our group on the more challenging obstacles. Highly recommended - you will not be disappointed!

Attended a children’s birthday activity here recently. There are two sections; one for kids (the youngest in our group was 4 whom had to go on with an adult) and the eldest was 15 who had to go over to the other side. It’s definitely a go to again on my list with some of my friends. I love how this one place can meet the needs of both children and adults who are adrenaline hungry is how I would put it. Definitely not a place to go if you are scared of heights as you would be walking on thin planks, roping yourself across platforms, gliding down the zip wires, climbing up walls and many more but of course attached to a safety belt. Everyone is given an induction before actually starting their journey and with each stage a staff was around and about to make sure to advice or guide them through difficulties if needed.

Amazinggg experiencee!!! Would Love to Thank Karol, he is amazing at his job, he was there for us every time I call him while I'm on the course. He was really helpful, he made me do the tarzan swing without focusing on the height. Thank you so much for having us this Saturday

Heights are not my best friend. I was reassured at the start and that really helped. Managed to complete the mid tier and higher tiers plus the Tarzan swing. Heck I loved it so much I took the zip line twice. Lovely and helpful staff. Very safe, instructions are easy to follow.

I came along on Sunday 17th September 2023 and did tree top challenge I throughly enjoyed myself. I was a bit nervous to do the plummet but staff were very supportive and I did it. The reason for 4 stars is because I didn't get a certificate at the end 😥😥

What a lovely way to get children do loads of physical activities. The whole process was smoothly explained to my children and myself. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I booked Adventure Plus for my children and to be honest it was difficult for me to get them out after nearly 2 hours of various challenges they did. The weather added to the whole experience. I recommend this for every parent whose child is 140cms tall as that’s the basic requirement. All in all I will visit again and maybe book Challenge course with my son.

First time for my kids to Go ape. The staff from the start to end end were fantastic. Everyone was so helpful, friendly, cheerful and always engaging with people. They were great with kids and adults a like. The staff here made it a wonderful experience everyone had a smile despite the poor weather on the day. Venue was great for the kids who really enjoyed it. Would recommend it and would definitely be back.

Fantastic Little adventure, spent a few hours here for little brothers birthday, he was turning 12 and he absolutely LOVED it. Prices are okay, only bad thing is that discount vouchers don't really go through when checking out online, no idea why. Rather than that, the place was wonderful. TIPS: •Remember to wear gloves as they might actually come in extremely useful, specially for kids. Expect to be using your grips a lot. •CarPark is present on site however you will have to pay for it.

Amazing experience. Very friendly kind, staff, patient and ready to help. It was our second time and this time we celebrated a birthday there. Absolutely recommend it. The weather was cold and there was even a slight drizzle which actually made the adventure even better. We'll definitely visit again! What a fantastic day!

Great outing. We've been to a few Go Ape locations. The team here were very helpful and enthusiastic even on a very busy day.

I've been twice. The first time was absolutely brilliant and I had so much fun that I booked to go again with my boyfriend. Unfortunately my last experience was traumatising due to the weather conditions. As we booked in advance, we couldn't predict the weather. I was told on the phone that it was an all weather experience. I seen the weather was bad on the day which wasn't ideal but I decided just to embrace it. I mentally prepared to get a little wet because there wasn't much I could do. I stupidly took off my rain coat last minute before climbing as it was dry and warm, although that wouldn't have completed protected me from torrential rain anyway. However when I was on the second highest level, it started to pour down. I wouldn't have minded a little drizzle but I was stuck up there completely soaked with my hair dripping wet and my feet also squelching. I had a panic attack when my contact lenses felt like the fell out because there was rain in my eye and I couldn't see. Fortunately my lenses did adjust back, I don't know what I would have done if they didn't because I am very short sighted. It was also windy when I was up so high which increased my anxiety. I was also terrified that there could be a storm because of the metal wire, luckily there wasn't. I blew the emergency whistle as I was really scared and wanted to come down. All I was told was I could either go back or forward, this wasn't overly helpful at that particular stage. I managed to complete the circuit I was on despite it being very slippery and my body felt frozen by that point due to being soaking wet. Me and my boyfriend also have bruises on our arms in the same place from our climb. I didn't even finish the rest of the activities after that as I was too wet and shaken which also annoyingly was a waste of money. Whist I understand the British weather is very unreliable and it is an outdoor activity. I know my fear may sound irrational but if I was really stuck due to something more serious, there wouldn't have been much help. There should be a way to get down in an emergency. There also should be a way to be able to cancel if the weather is bad because it completely ruins what would have been a fun experience.

My daughter and completed the Tree Top Challenge Today for a birthday treat. Approx 2 hours to complete. It was amazing. Staff were all really friendly and knowledgeable. Enough of them about If and when you need anything. Encouragement and support given when I took 5 whole minutes to jump off on the plummet. Lol It was my birthday and they let me have another go on the zip wire. Fantastic day. Great views. Fantastic staff. A birthday to remember. Thanks Go Ape Ali Pali. We both had the best day. 😁

A brilliant day! Easy to book via website. On arrival, we were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff. My child has additional needs and this was absolutely no issue for the staff who went above and beyond to accommodate her. This was a 13th birthday treat and she was made to feel valued. Everything was explained fully and the safety was excellent. My child managed to complete all of the challenges, including the Plummet! This is testament to the care and expertise of the staff team. We will definitely recommend and return to GoApe Alexandra Palace. Thank you.

I took my 3 kids and they had great fun, especially my teen boys who absolutely loved it. Me? I almost died! This place is not for the faint hearted. Excellent, helpful and patient staff.

Great experience. Super helpful and friendly staff. Cost wise, it's about £30 per person and best to book in advance online. Bring gloves too as they are very much needed. Fun day out for the whole family nonetheless 🤠

Booked it for my sons 8bday and it was all great from start to finish. We had Adventure + option that lasted longer than 1h. Kids loved it - it helps them build confidence being high up there and mostly rely on themselves. They worked well as a group which was amazing to watch. Goape Team was all available to help at any moment. Highly recommend.

It's lovely adventure for kids and families.and it's done beautiful.and it's exhausting. But the landing should be softer.

At first, I was unsure if my kids would like, but i have to admit they loved every bit of the treetop adventure. A lot of nerves to start with, but i was impressed by the GoApe staff. They went over and beyond. I would have to come and experience this myself to build by confidence as well. IT'S A MUST FOR FAMILY BONDING. The Zip line was a HIT.

If your not scared of heights then this is for you. Adults and kids fun for all. It can get a little windy but concentrating on getting across each walkway will soon make you forget about the wind. Great outdoor activity for all to participate at. I'd highly recommend it. Gets you using your core muscles. There are different levels to try. 15ft and 30ft high. Different length zip lines and many different bridge lines to manoeuvre across. On each level there is an option to take a more difficult path or a less difficult path. The choice is all yours. The staff are super helpful and very friendly. Also they are very attentive to the safety aspects. Making sure harnesses are secured and re secured if they feel they look lose. The merchandise is great as well. A very good day out activity for young and old uf you feel you have the stomach for heights.

We came here for a birthday party. And the kids had soo much fun. I had to get on as the kids were under 6years old and had lots of fun also. It felt save. The rules were explained very well and users were adhering to them. Most staff were really friendly, helpful and encouraging. Only down fall is that the cafe was a bit pricey.

👍 Nice place located on the a406. Plenty of parking. They are allowing people in via online bookings so make sure you book before you turn up. Slots get taken up quickly so there'll be little chance to book when you get there. 18 holes of mini golf is always a good way to spend 30-45mins with the kid...
