I had an amazing experience with BrakeAway tours! I was visiting from Los Angeles and wanted a tour where I could see as much as I could in a short amount of time (since London is so big). The bike tour was the perfect way to see a ton of stuff and enjoy the city. I researched a ton and this was the best deal I found, so I know you won't find a better deal than here! Pat was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable, funny, and always made sure we were all safe! Just book it!!!

Had a great tour with Mike on a recent visit to London. The pace was great for our mixed family group as was the level of information provided by Mike as we visited many of the London landmarks. It was my teenage sons first proper visit to London and whilst we were keen for him to see all the sights we knew that he wouldn’t have the patience to trawl round on foot. The bike tour seemed to be a great alternative and we were were not disappointed and definitely felt that we got great value for money. On our next visit we plan to do the other tour as reviews suggest that will be equally good. Thanks Mike for a great bike tour and we hope to see you again very soon.

Absolutely loved our tour this morning! The intermittent downpours were no match for our engaging and highly entertaining (and informative!) guide, Paul. Actor, singer, and historian rolled into one, he showed us all the major tourist attractions and kept a good brisk pace through easy (mostly flat and quiet) routes. Booking was very easy and straightforward. The tour is exactly as advertised. The operator is very friendly and helpful and the bikes are comfortable and well equipped. This is one of the best tours I've ever taken. It was loads of fun :)

We had four teens of varying bicycle ability as well as adults on tour. All had the best time. Highlight of visit to London said our cousin from overseas, and just as much fun for the locals on tour. We had to reschedule at one point; Chris and team were accommodating and couldn’t have been more helpful in answering questions prior to the tour. Much better to see sights in the open air than be trapped in a bus. Should also mention it’s an easy ride..no one broke a sweat.

Our bike tour was one of the best things we did in London. A perfect Day 1 activity for any trip. We saw SO many sites, and our tour guide, Paul, was fantastic!! We had 2 kids riding, and one in a child’s seat, as well as 2 grandparents all in our group, and we were able to do the tour easily! A couple moments of cringe riding next to traffic, but mostly it’s off busy roads down secret alleys and bike paths. Just book it!! You’ll be so glad you did.

Great great experience! From the beginning I had great communication with Chris to set everything up! He was very patient with me and we scheduled the perfect tour, meeting location and directions were super clear. The tour was amazing!!! Patrick our guide was super knowledgeable and with a great sense of humor. This was by far the best activity I did during my solo weekend in London. I will for sure doing it again with my family when we visit London together. 100% recommendable

Amazing way to see the city. Loved it so much we returned the next day for a second version of the tour. The level of detail you see on a bike is spectacular. My 13 yr old kept up fine and the 45 yr olds loved it too. Host was knowledgable and passionate. Paddington meetup was super convenient as well! Loved the primary London tour and the Secret London tour.

We traveled to London over the US Thanksgiving holiday. A coworker recommended doing a bike tour on day 1 to get a quick overview of the city and lay of the land. 100% recommend this tour. Not only did we get to have a fun afternoon biking around the city and seeing the historic landmarks, we also had the most amazing tour guide, Adam. He was personable, funny and also let us help decide what we wanted to do during our time (for example he let us stop at an old historic pub which was a highlight). It was honesty the perfect way to spend our first day in the city. Adam also went above and beyond and recommend a few restaurants and breweries/pubs for us to try. We ended up going to several of the breweries/pubs a different day and again - he did not disappoint 10/10 recommend doing this tour to not only get to see London in the best way, but also to have a fantastic tour guide.

This was the best thing thing we did in London. Our guide, Pat was fantastic and all his incredible historical knowledge was presented in an entertaining way which was easy to enjoy. Lots of fun facts that we have shared with others since. I took my 12 year old and would recommend this for any age who can ride a bike well. An absolute must even if you have been to London before. Thanks for a great memory.

Great way to start your trip in London. We landed at 6:30am coming from the US and we’re able to get checked in to our hotel and make it for the 10.15 meeting time for our tour. What a great start to our adventure. The tour takes you to so many areas in London and gives you a basic understanding on how to get around. Our guide was fantastic and told us more about the history than you could imagine. Seeing the sites on bikes is always a great way to get more accomplished in a short amount of time. We had so much fun we rode bikes in 5 more cities on our adventures thru the UK and Ireland. Would recommend to everyone.

This was our second tour with you and we enjoyed it even more than the first one. We’ve been to London many times and the secret visits on this tour are truly secret! We did the tour with our son who lives in London and he also enjoyed it a lot. The bikes are great. The route is easy to follow. A nice break in the middle for some refreshments. And I cannot give enough praise to our guide Pat who knows so much about history, fun facts and Shakespeare. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed the London bike tour with Ollie! Our group was small and the tour was fast paced. Ollie loved giving us the history on each stop which made the tour great! The Banksy tunnel and the changing of the guard were definite highlights. If you are looking for an active way to see London, this is it!

My wife Sarah and I and our 27 year old son booked a private BrakeAway bike tour for the three of us. Patrick was our guide and he took us on a remarkable three hour tour. The path he took us on avoided busy streets but instead wound on bike paths, park lanes, quiet back streets, and so on. Patrick would stop at significant points to tell us about where we were and what we were seeing. Patrick is an actor and he made these stops a delight with his dramatic and humorous personaltiy. And lots of interesting anecdotes or interesting details. Being on bikes meant we could get from stop to stop quickly and always on a pleasant path. Saw so many major sights, and so many "hidden" sights - like the lovely back streets of Westminster, the underground graffiti tunnel, St. John's church on Smith Square. We kept remarking among ourselves how wonderful this experience was. EVERYONE who can ride a bike should do it - even if already familiar with London. So glad we did this and so glad we had Patrick as our guide. Sarah is a travel advisor and will definitely recommend this to her clients visitng London.

Brilliant Grand Tour of all the beautiful sights of London..our guide Paul was so knowledgeable and entertaining...we loved it! Totally safe routes and bikes very comfy. Been on a few city bike tours and this was excellent.

The best way to see London with kids. Patrick was fabulous, so engaging and loved the dramatic story telling. Kids highlight was the graffiti tunnel. Fun for the whole family. Our kids were 7, 9 & 11 and the bike riding was not an issue at all. Could not recommend this tour more.

My husband and I were first time visitors to London and had a limited amount of time that we wanted to maximize, so we scheduled a private afternoon bike tour that allowed us to see the hotspots while getting an orientation of the city. Pat was a great guide, and checked off all the advertised tour sights as well as adding some pertaining to our interests. Our favorite experience was merging with the million cycling commuters leaving work at rush hour. Made us feel like we lived there. Great company and organized tour.

AWESOME TOUR !!! Chris helped us set up a private tour, because we had 14 people, adults and kids. Pat, our guide that day was superb! Tons of great info and lots of interesting stuff to see and learn about. Do you know where the term TIP comes from? Go see Pat and take a tour. Not to mention the graffiti session in the tunnel. If you wanna do a really fun and informative e tour of London, this is the ONE ;)

It was my first trip to London from the US. I was really excited based on two other friends that told me about the tour and the education about the city. Setting up the tour was quick and easy online which being on vacation is always nice. It was smooth and seamless. Chris sent me a follow up welcome email and confirmation. The day I arrived Paul our guide greeted us all with a genuine smile and an honest eagerness to show us the town. It was a pleasant ride and the history of the stops was really great. Paul was a gentlemen in every way. He kept close watch on the ten participants in the tour making sure everyone was accounted for and that everyone felt welcomed and were included in every aspect of the trip. I'm not sure when I will go back to London, but I know that as soon as I do I will want to take friends along with me on the next ride. I will say if you'd like a nice easy stroll through the city and you're interested in some of the history provided it's a great time and really fun. Thank you Paul and thank you Chris for such an amazing time. I will truly be coming back with friends on my next visit. Sincerely, Tim Bond Los Angeles, CA

We have been to London quite a few times but we had never cycled there. Chose the secret bike tour to see more of unknown parts of London. With Paul as our guide we made a fun and educational bike ride of more than four hours. A very nice trip where we saw many unknown gems. Cycling in London was easy. Almost everything is flat and the tour is largely on cycle paths. Moreover, it is a very reasonable price compared to other providers. Highly recommended!

We did a bike tour of East London this August with BrakeAway Tours, and we loved it. The owner, Chris, was very swift in responding to our initial inquiry. Since there was a chance of rain at least once a day, it was a bit tricky to decide when to do the tour, but he was very accommodating. They have a good selection of bikes to choose from including one that fits our 13 yrs old. Brendan, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and excellent storyteller, and kept us entertained throughout. We used to live near London, but going around on a bike through streets that we had never been was extremely interesting. BrakeAway Bike now has a little pink heart mark on my Google map so that it will be easier for me to visit them when we are next in London.

Visted London with my family on Aug 2022. We booked the grand London bike tour where we rode along the main highlights of London attractions. Adam was our tour guide and he did an amazing job with explaining the history and present of what London has to offer. It was such a great fun for the entire family that we decided to book another trip to tour the secret side of London with Paul. This time it was an evening ride where Paul provided an excellent and enjoyable information about the London’s gems. Chris (the owner) was kind enough to let us use his helmets for biking the ‘Boris bikes’ for the rest of our London trip… thanks Chris. Highly recommend – great guys , great businesses, big fun.

Perfect way to see London! We've done bike tours in other cities, and while none have disappointed, this one seemed very well organized. Bike lanes everywhere, and where they weren't we were navigating through lower traveled streets. Almost no concern about automobile traffic. The weather was great! It was so refreshing, and you can cover a lot of territory quickly and easily on a bike. Our guide was Mike, and he was a wealth of information and history. Couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Ask for him, if he's available! If you're in London, and have the time, you shouldn't miss this opportunity!

In London for a weekend from Ireland in Oct 21 decided to do a bike tour just contacted Brakeaway bike tours randomly the eve before and they were able to accommodate 4 of us for the next morning on the London history tour. Chris who arranged the tour was extremly responsive and professional with emails , directions etc. Paul our guide was outstanding with his history of London which was both informative and entertaining. He would occasionally burst into song , which related to the history of the area, to give us a clue. His history lessons were very interactive. We were on the tour for 3.5 hrs with a break for 20 mins in Covent garden for lunch. The cycling was on quiet back streets and cycle lanes, it was amazing how quiet some areas were but just off the main tourist trail. We took in most of the main tourist areas Westminster, Buckingham palace, St Paul's, Trafalgar Sq, The City of London plus many intersting areas as a tourist I would never find only for this tour. Ie The Bansky tunnel. Where art is created anew each day..This tour was the highlight of our Weekend along with the Lion King and next time I will definitely be doing the secret London cycle tour with Brakeaway Bike tours. It was excellent value for money and a great and different way to see London. I don't normally review but I enjoyed this so tour so much I felt I needed too. !!

My daughter and I came from N. Ireland and it was her first experience in London. We did the tour on our first day and it was a great way to see the city and help us get an idea of the location of all the sights. My daughter (age 9) was the only child in the group but Paul made her feel at ease. Would definitely reccommend the tour. A good price as well for the two of us, well worth the money.

The Tour was perfect! First, it was very safe, not difficult route, it was more than interesting. We saw a lot of places, more or less famous highlighted by Adam who was amazing. He taught us a lot about history, told us some anecdotes with serious and great humor in the same time. Thank you so much, for all the team and especially Adam.

Highlight of our trip This bike tour is an absolutely brilliant way to see some of the well known, and lesser known parts of London. Paul our guide was passionate about telling us all sorts of fascinating details, including some old sayings we have in English and their origins. He even gave us a sample of his Opera singing in a back street near Covent garden! I think bystanders were jealous! The bikes were very comfy, the route was in no way strenuous, but always interesting, safe and enjoyable. It was an excellent, and relaxing way to see so much in around 2-3 hours. Many thanks to Chris & Paul for a superb experience - not to be missed.

We took the Grand London Bike Tour back in August and I couldn't recommend it enough. We were 2 adults and 5 kids at various ages and they all loved it. We had family from overseas staying and it is such a great way to see all the London Landmarks. Our tour guide Mike was fabulous, good fun, very knowledgeable (we learnt a lot) and had patience of a saint when it came to our unruly bunch. The bikes are really comfortable and it is great value for money. I've already done the Secret London Bike Tour, and will definitively take the family back on that one when they return. My adorable 10 year old nephew said and I quote "I never knew London was so amazing" - thank you Mike and the team for a great day out!

This was an amazing experience for our family of 2 adults and 2 children (age 14 & 9). It was fantastic to see so much of London with our guide Pat who was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable from the second we met. Our trip included being able to see the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace. The kids faces were priceless!! When we return to London we will definitely book again to see some more sights and hear more interesting facts. Even the kids learnt something new which they still talk about now !! This tour is highly recommended, you won’t be disappointed.
