Went there this evening. It's actually called Earnie's Beach. It was dark, but it felt good and there were waves so felt like a real beach. Watched the night lights on the cool soft sand. It wasn't dirty at all, it was well lit, so even though it was eveningcpuld see well. When I went and there was more sand then pebbles. I don't think the water was clean enough to swim in though. Will go back during a summers day to play in the sand, watch the waves and admire the views.

Wow ! I didn't even know there was a beach in London! It was very nice and small and quiet when we arrived, not many people, and a beautiful view of London. We spent a couple of hours there, then more families turned up so it was nice. Kids really enjoyed it especially in the sand. The tide came in around 5-6pm so had to leave else we would have washed away lol.

There is a group fire spin on the last Friday of each month, it's amazing to take part or watch. Highly recommended!

Check out the low tide times and hang out to see London from a glorious vantage point whilst relishing in the history and mystery down there. I've taught Yoga at low tide, organised plastic clean-ups, sun-bathed, socialised with nibbles and drinks and one birthday read a book in the sunshine down there. A must!

There’s something magical about the Thames at low tide. It’s not pretty or comfortable in the standard fashion. But there’s definitely a lot of history amongst the rubble. The Thames beach however interestingly does have beach sand and is in central london!

When I asked my 5yo Friday she wanted to do on our trip to London and she said the seaside I laughed s little, now I'm eating my words. There was a bit of broken glass that I kept the kids away, I'm not sure if it could be easily litter picked by the council? But for free an the fun the kids had it was amazing, it even smelt like the seaside 😹 if I go again I'll go prepared with my mini clippers as I wouldn't mind picking it up if it's not dangerous.

A hidden gem, lovely spot to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city. Take a picnic blanket, and make sure to check tide times prior.

Small but a great sun trap beach right in the centre of London. Paddle, sun bathe, or take in the views of the boats and the buildings, nice place to relax, and as with anywhere in central London close to food and drink.

Always enjoy sunset there when I’m around. Special treat for people who don’t like to travel far for beach. Here’s an opportunity to enjoy beach atmosphere in London at River Thames. The best time to enjoy it when the tide is low n sunny day. Best for kids. A lot of eating n drinking places around.

It was OK, sunny day and lots of ignorant people that stop in front of you for no reason. I hate busy places

On a sunny day and low tide - a great beach with a view and local food and drink venues!

Well it's not quite the classic beach as it's on the River Thames! Some fun in the sun for a short time. One to tick off the list if you have time. The surrounding area, South Bank, is beautiful and offers many bars/restaurants. For free just take a walk along the Thames, it's stunning.

When the sun is shining and the tide is out, what a great place to hang out! Who needs the south if France!

Not so much an attraction as a wonder. Here, in the centre of London, a chance to walk on a small bar of sand at low tide. You'll never know what you might find...

Isn't really a beach. What you see in the photo is the whole thing. Good area to break your walk on the Thames.

One of the most peaceful places in central London. Great for a walk. Plenty of people, plenty of pubs and cafees.
