Found this randomly late in the evening and glad I did. Although a vegetarian restaurant, they have ample vegan options. Ordered a dish which had some type of creamy sauce that was poured over some chewy mushrooms 🍄. It came with Cassava which they prepare in house. They were delicious. Crispy and not too chewy like in other places. I’d say they must be premium standard ones. I’ve tried many and these the best ones I’ve had so far. If you don’t mind having plain Cassava then you will like them. There was Salad on the side. Finally I had a dessert which was also a Cassava based one! Food is excellent 💯 Customer service is first class 💯 Seating is great, options upstairs and downstairs 😀

The best vegetarian food I've had! This place knows how to emphasize, draw out, and showcase the fresh flavours from the ingredients and vegetables without taking away or masking the ingredients themselves. A truly delightful experience for the senses. In top of that, the staff and service was wonderful. Other places doing vegetarian or vegan food, take note because this is how it should be done! Can't recommend this place enough!

What a gem!! I'm not vegetarian but this restaurant has definitely given us one of the best experiences in London...even without meat!! I am a big fan of mushrooms and i could't ask for anything else...even porcini ice cream that doesn't disappoint! The food was so tasty that you just couldn't resist, unique tastes and definitely homemade divine courses!! Well done!! And we'll definitely come back again❤

I'm a vegan, with gluten intolerance, and I have to omnivorous family members - we dined here together and the food here is absolutely exceptional, definitely one of London's hidden gems! We all enjoyed our food - even my mum who is extremely critical of vegan/vegetarian food loved it here. 10/10 for service and food, definitely coming back!

Hidden gem in Shoreditch. Pleasantly surprised by all the dishes served. From the choice of ingredients, presentation to the pairing of sauces, it reflects truly talented chef. Service is great and ambience is nice and intimate. Easily one of the best vegetarian restaurant in London. Will definitely return!

It's so hard to find creative restaurants with chefs able to cook remarkable food, Oliveira Kitchen is one of the few in London. The Atacama main is an explosion of flavours, mousse and puree are mind-blowing. You can't find a softer cake even in the most famous bakery, their plum semolina cake is a perfect final course. Sadly not convinced by the caviar starter: some bits are good but tempura was too oily and didn't really match the rest of the plate, and too much vinaigrette. Overall good value, very friendly staff. Also very relaxed environment, finally a place where you don't have to shout to talk to your friends. Disclaimers: - plates take 15-20 mins to be served, so be patient it will be totally worth it - for several reasons explained on their website no children allowed.

This place is such a gem. One of my favourite restaurants in London. I’ve had their normal menu and their tasting menu and both are amazing. The tasting menu is so well thought out and every course is spectacular. Staff are also so lovely - they overheard it was my birthday and surprised me with an extra Happy Birthday dessert.

A family owned and operated vegetarian restaurant with a creatively designed circular open kitchen in the middle of its cosy upper room. The dishes are exciting and unique with unusual, exotic ingredients. The chef and the staff know their stuff, you can freely ask about the food and menu. I had Oliveira's Faux Gras (really good!) and Cream of Graviola and Celeriac (because Graviola is not something you often see) for starters. I then had the Sea-Flora Acquerello which is a high-class risotto with sea vegetables and of course tasted amazing. The dessert selection is very decent, too. I had the Amazonian Trio: all 3 sorbets look simple on the outside but each one is exciting in a different way. Their alcohol-free cocktail selection is also worth a mention: it is a very thoughtful addition and I'm glad I tried their Gin&Tonic! Highly recommend this place to everyone, even (or especially!) to non-vegs. They are kinda hidden and unknown, but I have a feeling that fame is coming for them.

A wonderful vegetarian restaurant with many locally and globally sourced quality ingredients. The chef Emerson, gave us a full walk through of the menu and made some great recommendations. I highly recommend that you pay this restaurant a visit.

Truly exceptional vegetarian food. I had the sea flora aquarello and cassava fries. 90 per cent of the ingredients I'd never tried. The wine list is very interesting too. The staff were informed and more than friendly. I highly highly recommend it here.

We had an amazing night at Oliveira! The food was delicious and it was one of our best meals in London. The service was great. I had the opportunity to try lots of different wine. We also had a lovely chat with the owner that I really appreciated. We will definitely come back the next time we visit London!

Amazing upscale vegetarian and vegan dishes in a lovely little restaurant just off Old Street. Went to celebrate a friends birthday and we both loved the food. A nice change from the standard vegetarian fare that can be found in most veggie restaurants. Pretty good wine selection too :) Everything was delicious, and the ingredients are all locally sourced with the source provided on the menu. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice and cosy. Would definitely recommend for an original vegetarian or vegan treat 😋

Deserves all the praise it’s been getting! We went with a group of 40 and could not have asked for a better experience. Chef Emerson and team were fantastic hosts. The taster menu with wine pairings was incredible. My guests all made notes to come back, several had never been to a vegetarian restaurant before - their mind was blown.

Great food. We got the vegetarian tasting menu for 2. The staff were lovely and attentive and explained the food and concept in great detail. I got to try so many flavors and produce I typically don't have access to. The 0% alcohol wine spritzers were great too. Highly recommend.

An accidental discovery and definitely a great experience for a plant based meal that is not reliant on soya, seitan or any common junk related ingredients. My wife (vegan and gluten free) and I opted for the Sunday roast and we truly weren’t disappointed in our choice from the starters through to the deserts. The staff are all fantastic and we had great chat with Chef Emerson who unleashed his worldly knowledge upon us. We’d definitely recommend this place but would advise not to starve yourself before this experience. Enjoy the pictures and see you all soon.

I had a wonderful experience! The Joint Roast and Turmeric Tea were delicious. I had the cheesecake of cupuaço with elderberry sorbet and it was DIVINE! Not only was the food exceptional, so was the service. I highly recommend!

From the moment we stepped into Oliveira's Kitchen, we were in love. The indoor garden ambiance, with its cascade of hanging plants, felt like a breath of fresh air in the heart of London and the gorgeous natural wood and oh so lovely stone tableware create a natural, boho vibe that instantly made me feel at home. I'm not a vegetarian, but I can appreciate food made with genuine passion and love. And Oliveira's? They've got that in spades. Every dish was a work of art, not just in taste but in looks too. It's clear this family-run spot pours their heart into every plate, celebrating vegetarian and organic food in the most delicious way that it's impossible not to be impressed. And while London has its fair share of vegetarian joints, Oliveira's Kitchen stands out like a beacon. The highlight? The Lady Quail of Norfolk? Absolute perfection. So much so, we had to order seconds, and trust me, holding back from licking the bowl was a challenge! If you're looking for a dining experience that's bursting with flavor, creativity, and genuine warmth, Oliveira's Kitchen should be at the top of your list. It's not just a meal; it's a delightful journey for the senses!

Family recommended we stop in for a meal while in London. Definitely worth your time. Sunday Roast was a favorite, and the cheesy cauliflower was… well, just try it for yourself. On top of the great food, the staff was fantastic. It is always a good sign when everyone working in a restaurant is enthusiastic and engaged.

Exquisite food. A truly unique experiense. I wish I lived in London, I would be a regular. The service was the nicest and kindest possible.

The vegan Sunday roast was the best I have ever tried. Really tasty and balanced, you can tell it was made with love :) and there was no pastry involved like in the vast majority of vegan roasts I have eaten. It was great, good food and enjoyable experience. Nice music, packed with plants, open kitchen with outstanding professional and warm service. The lager (which I am generally not a fan of) was delicious too. Desert was a bit pricey but worth it. We will come back!

I wanted to try this place for ages and boy it didn't disappoint! Fantastic service and food is amazing! Our waitress (didn't catch her name) was super friendly and went above and beyond to help my friend choose the right beer. Particularly impressed when the owner/head chef came out to speak with us and gave us so much information around the food and how its made. It made our experience at the restaurant even better and certainly makes us want to visit again. I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed.

Oh my gosh, the food!! The place looks unassuming from the outside, but going in there's an open plan kitchen where you can see your food being made! Quick and attentive service, everything was delicious and I'll be coming back next time I'm in London.

Absolutely amazing vegetarian restaurant. The food is delicious, the Chef is incredibly creative & talented, the staff is brilliant and the place is lovely. Very pricey though, so not one I can visit frequently unfortunately, but I still recommend :)

Amazing food, exceptional service and fantastic ambiance. Oliveira (the owner) was herself around ensuring the customers were informed of the food choices. She and the rest of the staff are super friendly and engaging. The food is vegetarian/vegan and organic. Portion size is adequate. The desserts are fabulous!

Outstanding creative food, friendly and welcoming, great value for money. Just discovered this lovely family run restaurant close to where we live. As vegetarians it is so exciting to find somewhere new that is really special. We had 3 courses and all the food was fabulous, all freshly prepared and all dishes unique in our experience. A new favourite, we shall return soon.

A great and creative variety of vegetarian and vegan food. The staff was nice and the food very delicious.

Ambience was beautiful, service was beyond extraordinary! and the vegan food was great! Some of the dishes lacked the extra oomph to push it to 5 stars and for some dishes - food portions were not too big. They were able to customise some of the veggie dishes to vegan which was really great of them! Would recommend the Perogi starter and the vegan chocolate cake. Definitely coming back to see what they have in store next in their vegan options!

I found Oliveira kitchen via trawling Google maps and I am very lucky that it popped up when scanning a prime location just round the corner from Old Street Station. I decided to book based on the few, but consistent 5 star reviews and I was astounded at the quality of the food and attentiveness of the staff. I had booked for my girlfriend's birthday and after mentioning in a note in my booking, we were offered a free glass of Prosecco to celebrate, and her dessert was prepared with an extra bit of birthday flair. We had the tasting menu which was an absolute triumph of vegetarian cooking. I am a meat eater and she is vegetarian and we were both completely blown away at the thoughtfulness and creativity of the preparation and design of the dishes, and the conscientiousness of their provenance. The chef and owner took us through some of the dishes and the wait staff were totally friendly and attentive the whole evening. I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Casual enough to not be intimidating but quality enough to feel like it was a total treat. I can't recommend Oliveira highly enough. All of the food was incredible but if I had to name some standouts if you aren't doing the tasting menu, I'd recommend the Trumpet royal au poivre the scotch egg, Polonaise Opus 53, and the maitake and soffrito. Incredible all round.

Stumbled upon this lovely veggie place. We didn't have a reservation but they were able to accommodate the 4 of us. Really nice food. They weren't your usual veggie food, really creative and delicious. Friendly staff and quick services.

Very impressed by the quality of food here, super tasty and creative options. I’m not a vegan but I had roasted figs starter with vegan cheese and I loved it! Chocolate dessert is lovely and rich. Have recommended this restaurant to friends and they’ve enjoyed it too. Will be back!

Restaurant not only for the vegetarian but for everyone who like good food. Very friendly and attentive staff, great wine list and delicious food. Must try!

This is one of the best vegetarian/vegan restaurants in London! If you are looking for a quick meal, I don't think this restaurant will be for you. If you are ready to come, sit down, enjoy a drink and a long conversation, while you are waiting for the food... this is a place for you. People, who work there, are kind, attentive, and personable. We feel like we are visiting family when we are there. Please make a reservation, as they get busy.

This is the best restaurant I have ever been to in London. The most amazing flavours, fine dining and organic and vegan. I am not a vegan but I found the food absolutely amazing. Do yourself a favour and make sure to go to this place, I guarantee you will be back again!

  • 5/5 Alex M. 1 year ago on Google
What a great little restaurant, so rare to find family run businesses with the actual owners working and cooking there. Because of this the quality of ingredients is amazing. The chefs passion for unique ingredients not only shines in his face as he explains how he forraged the latest batch of mushrooms, but in the seasonally crafted menu full of innovative dishes and goodies. I love this place and would recommend to anyone looking for quality and flavor. Highly recommended

Had been reading a lot about this place. Finally tried it this week. Ambience 3/5 - much more casual looking than I expected but nothing odd or wrong. Food 3.5or4/5 - (nothing bad at all but just had even higher expectations) - Oliviera's faux gras dish was alright, the pickled cauli to go with it was a very nice addition. The bread was too charred for my liking. - the avocado tempura (Sea buckthorn caviar) with caviars was not special. The caviars was a clever thing. The avocado and rest of the things were missable. - the other tempura dish (forest floor calamari) which is one of their signature dishes was my fav. The chilli and pickled lemon was a great great touch. - for mains we got the trumpet royale mushroom dish. Good flavours!! But it lacked some finesse in presentation. I think it might also be because of it being a long weekend here in London and one of the chefs was away so Kitchen was understaffed. - for dessert, we got the cupuacu cheesecake which we did not like. Just not my thing but it was made well for those who've got more developed taste buds. We actually asked them if it could be replaced for us and they got us the Healthy Decadence chocolate dessert instead which was very nice. It seemed like we would not be charged for the replacement but they actually charged us for both the desserts which is fine/fair but would have appreciated them being upfront about it beforehand. Also, would have been a nice service gesture to have not been charged for both if they said they would 'replace' it. - really good red wine 'When we dance' sangiovese - nice beers on tap!! Service was great otherwise, with lots of details being explained to us by the staff.

Very unique vegetarian dishes. Organic, light, and full of extraordinary flavours. I had gnocchi and it was delicious, and I was blown away by their alcohol free cocktails (not mocktails :)) options. Ambience is lovely, and service was fantastic.
