Horrendous service every time I visit the store. Previously purchased a suit which was tailored, really positive experience. Ever since the customer service has been appalling. They clearly feel that customers are beneath them. Staff are rude and unpleasant, not sure if it’s because of my skin tone. I will be taking my business else where, after returning a handful of items. Avoid and go else where. Hawes and Curtis and TM Lewis are just a few steps away. Didn’t even have the courtesy to provided a branded bag after spend hundreds. I’ll be shopping for my suits else where.

A hugely disappointing experience. Very poor service: multiple staff did not know what they were doing since they were too busy commenting on the appearance of other customers. Total lack of transparency about pricing: online price is very different to that in store, and then different again to the store just up the road. Having been a loyal customer for 15 years, I will avoid this shop. Charles Tyrwhitt used to be a very reputable brand – seemingly no more.

Since it's impossible to rate their online shopping experience here's store review. I've been buying shirts from CT for over 10 years and not once transaction went smooth. Overpayment issues, staff is not responsive, managers never get back to you to address issues. Good quality merchandise, horrible service as many said in below reviews. Mr. Wheeler should look into the reviews and have reviews for the website experience as well. 0 to 1 star at most.

Unacceptable attitude towards the client at their Jermyn street shop, London. Nobody came to help us as we were looking for shoes. We spent no more than 10 min in this shop, asking to try a pair of shoes, and then the price of it. 3 different people from the shop told us that they had something else to do. What kind of impression can it let on the customer let alone like this... really not a nice experience!

The clothing is beautiful, but the staff who were helping me were incredibly rude. I was asking some questions about pricing, and then another customer stating asking a question…. The salesperson ignored me and proceeded to help the other customer first (He was helping me as I patiently waited in the queue). I also had to flag someone down multiple times for help. I understand staffing is hard right now, but to be completely ignored is just bad customer service. Finally, the sales person had the nerve to try and sell me a fourth pair of socks. I asked if this was because the price goes down if you buy four pairs, and he said no just so you have a collection. I’m disappointed because I had heard good things about Charles Thyrwhitt. I still purchased my items but I will not be returning to this location. Great clothes, just terrible customer service.

Went into the store on the 24/11 to get a suit and shirt for my son’s wedding, I never normally wear a suit. I was served by Chris R, I could not fault him, great customer service. He took a great deal of time making sure I got a jacket that fitted properly (different size than I would have got, he explained how people get the wrong size), I was in-between waist size for the trousers, so he arranged for them to be adjusted by them, they have just arrived at my home and fit perfectly. He also knew what size shirt I needed, and I tried on one to make sure, I have short arms and have never had a shirt that was not too long in the sleeve before, he suggested the colour which I would have picked and finally we decided on a tie to match the suit and shirt. I think he was trying to wind me up, have a bit of fun, with a suggestion of a bright orange tie. 10 out of 10 for Chris’s service and knowledge.

Good quality suits but the staff were rude and not knowledgeable. We picked out a suit and asked a staff member to check the price. We were happy with the price he gave so got the trousers measured and pinned up etc. But when we went to pay, he told us a much higher price. I thought this was very unprofessional, but he didn't seem to be very apologetic. He also had a weird attitude the whole time he was 'helping' us, as if he was doing us a huge favor by serving us. We ended up buying another suit because we liked the quality. I wouldn't go back to this store in a hurry.

I've been purchasing clothing from Charles Tyrwhitt online for years, so I was excited to visit their original store on Jermyn Street. While the selection of men's apparel is outstanding, the organization of the shop is more reflective of Kohls or Marshall's. I purchased a top coat and was assured my alterations would be complete before my departure for America. They never contacted me, so the day before my departure, I popped into the store. No one knew where my coat was or how to locate it. After several phone calls, it was located in transit back to the shop. I would expect a higher level of service and professionalism from this brand especially in its original location.

Worst clothes shopping experience in the UK! I came in around 5:30 PM today, ready to buy, knowing what I needed, measurements, everything. What ensued was a waste of my time where my customer experience ranged from being ignored to be sent to look for shirts alone and having to try on only a pink/salmon shirt in my size but nothing close to the colour or shade I was interested in. And with inly a few clients in the shop. Eventually Alexandra provided assistance, but after insisting and pointing out the service is lackluster. It's a far cry from the service one expects from such an establishment and appalling compared to your peers on Jermyn street. And a totally different experience from your colleagues in Holborn who are great but the stock is smaller. The only reason I do not rate it as one star is the fact that actually I was able to buy what I needed. No upsell attempt not even the slight hint of other products.

Great service! Wonderful specious store, great location. Friendly professional atmosphere. A special thank you to the wonderful Leo, so professional, friendly, knowledgable, a true gentleman. An absolute delight! Gave me a comprehensive advice regarding everything! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A regular customer but always disappointed with the shop as medium sizes are hardly on show yet there are the sizes in the store. I bought a merino pullover that came medium from the store but not on display. Doesn't take much to work that out. Also pullovers should not be hanging on hangers stretching the necks when a similar colour is folded up on display. Quality always good though but disappointed that chino length has no 29.5 length.

I like CT products a lot a so I went to this store looking for an autumn return to work suit. The assistant offered to help and all seems fine but he was clearly pushed for time and was hectic between customers. Had some trousers thrown at me, assistant sucked through his teeth telling me they were too tight so threw another pair at me, I didn’t like the fit and said “these aren’t for me” so he said “ok see you next time” and that was that! No other service, so left feeling a bit silly and let down.

Been using their shirts for yeas, high quality, neat cuts and fit, durable and reasonably priced. Missing star is due to limited availability of some of the items I wanted to purchase. Definetely recommend for business casual and semi formal

Very high quality clothes and an excellent service! I have been a customer of Charles Tyrwhitt for over 10 years and I've never been disappointed. Highly recommended.

I was gifted some shirts but were not to my taste. I was lucky enough to have been given the receipt to exchange. Dealt with my Henry at the Jermyn St. store. Very happy with the service and he even ordered in a shirt for me to collect this coming Monday. Very impressed with the overall service

I had a delightful experience in the Jermyn Street store. I was very grateful that they were able to locate an item in my size. Two assistants then offered me patient, helpful advice regarding suitable ties and pocket squares for my suit. I was very appreciative of how much time and guidance they were able to give to me. I did not feel under any pressure to buy anything, but through their advice naturally decided to buy more than I had intended to anyway!

I had a fantastic experience with this store! Their service and products exceeded my expectations. The quality of the clothing was outstanding and has made me a loyal customer. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for a seamless shopping experience.

Very good service downstairs in the suit section with helpful and attentive staff. It's a shame the same cannot be said of the staff upstairs. They seemed to be more interested in conversations between themselves rather than help customers. Tyrwhitt clothes are still pretty good.

Always get my shirts from CT and this morning I had a terrible coffee spill Went into the shop super stressed Fortunately I was just under their fabulous 6 month warranty program (and yes it truly is no questions asked even when I explained my spill) Deepi was lovely and helpful and made my day! Can't imagine another brand with this level of service and help for their customers

This review speaks to my on line ordering experience...I seldom jet over the ocean to buy clothes. I haved own about 8 CT shirts. Very good quality at a great price. Love the metal collar stays and the fact that they package the shirts without pins ! Well done people.

I recently purchased a few shirts and Blazers from Charles Tyrwhitt, and I must say I am thoroughly impressed. The quality of their shirts is exceptional, with attention to detail evident in every aspect. The fabric feels luxurious and durable, providing both comfort and longevity. The fit is outstanding, offering a tailored look that flatters the body without feeling restrictive. I appreciate the variety of styles available, from classic to more contemporary designs, ensuring there's something for every occasion. The range of colors and patterns is extensive, allowing for versatility in styling. The collar and cuffs are well-constructed, maintaining their crispness even after multiple wears and washes. The customer service I experienced was top-notch. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and assisted me in finding the perfect size and style. The ordering process was seamless, and the delivery was prompt, ensuring I received my shirts in excellent condition. Overall, I highly recommend Charles Tyrwhitt shirts for anyone looking to invest in high-quality, stylish mens clothing. They offer a combination of craftsmanship, comfort, and timeless elegance that sets them apart from other brands. Whether for professional or casual wear, you can't go wrong with a Charles Tyrwhitt shirt. I hope you find this review helpful!

My favourite shirt shop but the tailor measurer wasn't so helpful on that day. Maybe was having a bad one, kept going back to a French speaking customer for some odd reason while ignoring everyone else. He created a sense of neglect and rush which isn't part of this brand at all

Great price and excellent staff, namely for Amin and Scott. I walked in to buy a new suit in which I need to use the next day. The staffs helped me to choose the right fittings and ensured that I can pick it up when the store opens at 10am the next day Given I was anxious missing the train for my big day, I went there at around 8am, knocked on them, and the staff willingly helped me pickup the suit earlier. Best experience I've had buying for suits!

The female staff member I asked for assistance on Fri afternoon couldn't be bothered to help after about 30 seconds of engagement and disappeared off to do something else. I was looking for chinos - there were hardly any 'regular fit' on display, and only 1 pair of 'slim fit' in my size (32 waist, 34 leg). I am reasonably trim but they were so tight, like a pair of '80s drainpipes, in the lower leg. My actual waist size is 33.5 but they were somehow still loose around the middle. Overall experience - terrible. Best advice - stick to shirts, and buy online.

Lovely collection of vintage, classic formal and casual shirts. Quality clothing. Wonderful service at the start of your shopping to guide you on your size + Helpful staff. Everyone finds a piece! Something to improve: would be great to have a tailor because the casual shirts section doesn't cater well to tall people of lean build.

Great quality clothing at a reasonable price as you would expect, but the service I received was truly exceptional. Steve was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and polite. He was patient and offered great advice on the different options available in terms of both material and fit without ever being pushy. Overall a very pleasant and efficient experience. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning myself.

Horrendous customer service on a relatively quiet Sunday lunchtime. We were ignored by several ‘assistants’ whilst clearly trying to ask about another size for around 10 minutes. Eventually managed to ask a sales assistant who said he’d be right back. 15 minutes later he came with a colleague and said he couldn’t help as he had to go on his lunch break but that the colleague would now ‘takeover’ which is a strong word as clearly nothing was being done anyway. The colleague then preceded to ask what we wanted, then looked on the rack which obviously we had already done and finally said that he could go and look in the back but that it could take a while. Considering this had now been over half an hour trying to ask if they simply had another size we gave up but we will certainly not be returning!!

A really great service at Charles Tyrwhitt Jermyn Street. Ross clearly explained the decision points and design choices, even popping out to a neighbouring store to ensure we were able to close the deal on the day. Highly recommended, thanks Ross and team.

I have had two recent encounters: 1) in store 2) on the phone after an order. In store: the Jermyn Street store was busy and help was not initially forthcoming, nor were people helpful to begin with when I asked for help. When finally assisted upstairs in shirts, I thought the service was then reasonable. The store assistant was personable but didn’t seem to initially understand what I wanted, but she made the effort to still help. When she finally did understand the ask, she was very helpful within the options available to her. Downstairs in suits, I had to seek out help but then once I had help, the assistant was helpful and I bought a suit I really liked. On the phone: I realised there was an issue with a bespoke shirt that I ordered and wanted to amend something in the order; however, I was told of a time limit in those changes that I was unaware of and I do not believe was advertised. The truly annoying thing was having to order a bespoke shirt in the first place, as Charles Tyrwhitt has decided to no longer stock shirts of my size. I find this aggravating after shopping with them for over 10-years and having bought many shirts. However, this is something I feel is an issue with Charles Tyrwhitt, not the person on the phone. He was knowledgeable, personable and engaging.

For someone who wears suits very rarely, Charles Tyrwhitt is a gracious and patient resource. The staff is polite, professional, and efficient—giving opinions on my preconceptions only when asked. With so much changed after the pandemic, having a knowledgeable, in-person eye is invaluable. I cannot recommend this store or their products more highly.

Wide variety of shirts, jackets and trousers. A good place to shop for mid level office wears. People working at the store are good and accurate with measurements. However, the store is extremely lack of staff and I had to wait for more than 30 minutes just to try shirts or jackets or waiting for the next size. It would be great if the store could hire a few more people to help customers in busy times (weekends or after 5pm on weekdays).

  • 5/5 Jasper B. 1 year ago on Google
Great quality suit and professional, thoughtful service. Tailoring was available and done ready for the next day. Ross was especially helpful. Note: would definitely recommend going at a quiet time or making an appointment. I went at 1300 and practically had the shop to myself, so could get measured and make sure everything was correct. However, went to collect at 1800 the next day and it was pretty hectic. Also, collection for tailoring was at 1400 so go before then if you need your items back ASAP.

The staff need a little training on customer service and to only deal with one customer at a time and not constantly hand you over to another member of staff. Great quality suits at astonishing prices. Will return for the attire.

It was quiet as I walked in, then within a couple of minutes it was busy. The assistants did brilliantly juggling their time between the customers and I left feeling I'd been well looked after.

So sad that at a time when retail needs to do all they can to re-build customer confidence they are looking after themselves. Having been a loyal customer for the past decade we can no longer shop here as they no longer take care of us
