An amazing guitar shop in the heart of London. I bought an Eastman acoustic guitar from Mak's guitars and Mak couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. I was able to sit down (on a comfy sofa) and try out all the guitars I wanted and Mak was able to talk me through each guitar and give me all the information I needed without being pushy for sale and give me all the time I needed until I found the right guitar for me. I am already saving up to go back again and buy another guitar from this awesome shop!

I recently bought an Amalio Burguet 2M Classical Guitar off Mak. Apart from the guitar being incredible value for money for an all solid wood guitar, the service I received from Mak was first class. Excellent communication via email and phone after ordering the guitar on line. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Mak if you’re looking for a new Guitar.

Have bought 3 or 4 guitars from Mak's now, couple of Eastmans and a couple of Maybachs. Purchased a maybach lp jr from Mak today and as always customer experience is amazing. Nah is a really interesting person to talk with around great too and genuinely seems to love what he does. There is a small but amazing quality selection of guitars. Only top quality instruments in this shop and that's my favourite thing about this store, there are no duds. Support local small business because we need guys like these to stick around!

My online experience with Mak's Guitars was most pleasurable, emails were speedily responded to, contact is very personable and friendly, advice is excellent. Guitarists in and around London are very fortunate to have Mak's Guitars to hand - but that's why the rest of us have phones and the internet.

Been shopping here a couple of years now. Mak has sorted me a out with a couple of beautiful archtops, acoustics and amps. Brilliant aftercare service too. Really relaxed and friendly vibe in the shop and a truly amazing selection of products on display. Highly recommend you check this shop out first for your guitar needs!

Mak was a top fella. No pushy selling going on here. Just helpful and relaxed experience. I was left to play away at my own leisure. Mak just left me to it. Top notch! I bought a beautiful guitar from Mak’s shop and the process has been very smooth, no pushy selling and a real human behind the counter haha. I went about three different times to try the guitars, spent a couple of hours each time and it’s been a real exchange with Mak. He’s let me try the guitars in the showroom, door closed to fully enjoy the instruments. It’s just been a pleasure. I also wanted the guitar to be fitted with a pick-up mic and Mak helped me arranged that with his luthier. Best shop I’ve been to, I can only recommend!

Cool guys with a real worthwhile collection of guitars to choose. Yesterday , I walked by lots of London stores as nothing looked that good but at Mak's they may have the guitar you don't have yet. Mak knows his stuff for sure and I've come away with a nice django guitar and a good off the cuff London experience.

I have just received a Burguet 1a today from Mak. It's the exact guitar pictured online - always encouraging when you're too far away from a shop to try an instrument. Mak was lovely to deal with. Helpful, non pushy, staff. Consequently I bought a guitar. I didn’t spend tons of money but was still treated as a valuable customer. And even though this was an inexpensive guitar the set-up was excellent. I’ve nothing against the multi shop guitar sellers but it’s great to see an independent can more than hold its own.

I was curious about Atkin guitars after a quick Google search and visited the store while in London for a few days. Definitely one of the best music store experiences I've ever had! A great selection of instruments and a very friendly atmosphere, just a great vibe. Mak is the polar opposite of a pushy salesman - very knowledgable, helpful and friendly. I ended up with a fantastic Atkin 47 model that was shipped over to Switzerland without any hassle. Highly recommended!

Lovely friendly staff and a wide selection of second hand archtops and hand-crafted acoustics from UK luthiers. A nice spacious shop with plenty of floor space for those coming with a wheelchair to manoeuvre, which is something you don't see very often in guitar shops. Really glad I dropped in today, because I ended up walking out with a bargain and never once felt pressured to make the buy. If you're a guitarist visiting Denmark Street, do try making a little detour here - I'm sure you won't regret it, especially if you're looking for something a little bit more jazzy/boutique.

Strat setup - took it in after going up a string gauge and it put the bridge, action and intonation all out of whack and so needed a fresh setup. He asked for my playing preferences, (tremelo etc.) and set it up perfectly, had a few days with it and plays like a dream. It's a great feeling to have your guitar back playing properly again. Also, another spring was put in the back to bolster the bridge and it feels solid. All this and for an excellent price that couldn't be bettered anywhere that I've ever spoken to. Lovely chap, almost missed a meeting due to guitar chat. 11/10 (it's one better)

WOW ! Have just taken a trip to Maks guitars shop just off Oxford street. I have been looking for a left handed Eastman AR-372 sun burst only to find that Eastman are not making them anymore and to find one is virtually impossible. Then out the blue came MAK and he has one ! A quick chat on his website (on a Sunday , when he isn't even open) and deal done . Mak held it for me and didn't even ask for a deposit.
