I
started
mossbourne
community
academy
thinking
that
it
was
gonna
be
the
best
experience
ever
and
that
I
would
come
out
of
it
not
only
becoming
a
better
version
of
my
self
but
also
achieving
top
grades
in
all
my
subjects
however
it
was
the
opposite.
I
had
a
really
rough
time
when
I
first
joined
the
school
because
it
felt
as
if
I
was
put
into
the
military
service.
I
felt
as
if
I
couldn’t
express
my
self
and
I
felt
as
if
I
was
doing
something
wrong
every
second
which
really
pressured
me
as
I
was
a
good
student
and
I
was
respectful.
However
I
felt
as
if
I
was
treated
unfairly
by
staff.
The
academys
policies
made
me
feel
as
if
I
was
manipulated
as
if
the
school
didn’t
understand
that
we
do
not
live
in
the
1900s
and
that
we
live
in
2020
where
society
has
changed
a
lot
in
terms
of
discipline.
I
would
like
to
start
off
with
the
fact
there
is
no
physical
contact
allowed
in
the
school.
I
feel
like
this
rule
is
limiting
students
to
express
them
selves
around
their
friends.
I
understand
that
to
a
certain
extent
some
physical
actions
done
by
students
may
result
in
bigger
conflict
but
if
anything
extreme
was
to
happen
it
would
be
reported
by
a
student
and
seen
by
the
teachers
but
as
someone
who
is
not
used
to
this
I
was
very
paranoid
that
I
would
be
punished
for
being
close
to
my
friends
and
accidentally
touching
them.
And
the
fact
that
we
were
shouted
at
for
the
little
actions
that
were
done
for
example
spudding
your
friend
is
absolutely
ridiculous
because
it’s
the
way
society
communicates
with
each
other.
We
were
made
to
feel
as
if
we
failed
life
if
we
done
this
and
this
is
something
Which
bothered
me
a
lot.
Second
of
all
I
will
like
to
talk
ab
the
fact
that
students
couldn’t
express
themselves
in
terms
of
how
they
wanted
their
hair
to
be.
I
was
picked
on
a
lot
by
teachers
when
it
came
to
this
and
was
getting
into
trouble
for
the
way
I
look.
As
someone
who
has
grown
up
in
a
modern
society
I
would
like
to
say
how
important
I
think
it
is
to
be
able
to
express
your
self
as
there
is
people
who
like
to
express
themselves
in
different
ways
for
example
some
people
like
to
dye
their
hair
or
cut
the
sides
shorter
than
the
top.
We
are
human
and
we
cannot
be
dictated
and
be
made
to
look
the
same.
I
struggled
a
lot
when
it
came
to
this
and
felt
like
I
was
being
judged
by
teachers
because
of
the
way
I
look
.
I
was
told
I
cannot
come
INTO
SCHOOL
BECAUSE
OF
MY
HAIR.
As
a
ordinary
person
with
basic
human
rights
I
have
the
right
to
look
however
I
want.
On
the
other
hand
I
was
a
very
hard
working
student
and
I
was
very
respectful
but
I
was
still
being
discriminated
every
day.
Coming
from
an
Asian
background
hair
is
something
which
is
very
common
in
our
background
and
it’s
something
we
grow
as
we
were
brought
up
this
way
but
the
fact
that
I
wasn’t
able
to
express
my
self
was
not
only
psychologically
affecting
me
but
was
also
affecting
my
education
at
school.
Health
comes
before
everything
and
u
have
to
be
mentally
well
in
order
to
be
happy
in
the
learning
environment
your
in
and
I
clearly
wasnt.
and
on
top
of
that
i
had
to
catch
up
with
the
work
my
self
when
i
was
clearly
sent
home
for
this
stupid
reason.
Second
of
all
i
was
told
that
i
will
go
to
a
bad
place
in
life
from
the
way
i
look
and
i
was
told
that
it
is
a
method
of
motivation.
so
the
way
to
motivate
is
to
bring
students
down.
lovely.
AND
WHEN
I
ASKED
WHAT
HAS
MY
HAIR
GOT
TO
DO
WITH
MY
EDUCATION
I
GOT
TOLD
THAT
IT
IS
TO
MAKE
THE
SCHOOL
LOOK
BETTER
AND
STUDENTS
MORE
BUISNESS
LIKE.
so
i
have
to
basically
modify
my
self
for
the
schools
reputation
and
buisness
men
definitely
all
have
short
hair.
i
can
name
so
many
people
who
are
not
like
that.
The
mentally
of
most
of
the
staff
was
very
old
fashioned
especially
upper
school
and
i
dont
think
they
are
living
in
2020
and
clearly
have
schizophrenia
as
they
are
in
a
different
planet.
I
felt
as
if
my
teachers
had
something
towards
me
for
no
reason
and
they
used
to
make
me
feel
stupid
for
not
being
a
level
9
student
and
as
if
im
going
to
fail
life
and
i
felt
like
i
did
not
belong
anywhere.
honestly
I
think
I
suffer
brain
damage.
