As an avid fan of 46b for many years...I was so excited to discover Hand Cafe this Sunday. Sadly of course the eating areas were closed because of Covid, but we found it fully functional for takeaways. Unfortunately staff were pretty unfriendly, but the coffee was super excellent. My double shot Cortado was well worth the £2.80 and my leek and feta pie was yummy indeed. I hope you don't mind me sharing this little warning to others...I was more than a little perplexed when I asked for a little sugar. Expecting a sachet of brown sugar as usual - Without no warning some transparent liquid was squirted into my cup. Of course I had to ask what it was..."sugar" I was told. I'd never had liquid sugar...I was so worried that it would change the taste of the coffee, luckily it didn't...all was lovely....but could I have brown crystallised sugar next time please...😊 Anyway... we found a nice spot by a water feature nearby and enjoyed our lucky find of a great cafe in Stratford Actually if you love your coffee...I'd say it is the best. Thanks guys, a few more smiles and understand next time would be greatly appreciated.

A lovely cafe and friendly staff. The Greek eggs are a favourite of mine, and it's one of the best places for matcha lattes in the area. Tempted to drop a star for their opening hours being limited but I'll be nice and let them keep it!

We had lunch here over the weekend and were really impressed with the food and coffee! Very very good value for money. It is a short walk from Westfield Shopping mall so I'd recommend that you come here for food rather than eat in the mall. We had a flat white and black coffee. They were on the small side but tasted very good. For food we had ouzo beans and the banana, yogurt cinnamon toast (see photo of menu for details). The flavours were really delicious. I wasn't expecting much but the food was executed well. There were plenty of tables and the atmosphere was very relaxed. A highly recommended place to visit if you are in the Stratford area.

came here not too long ago so i'm not sure if they've just become temporarily closed or didn't update google. anyways i got an iced americano and it was tiny for the price! also charging extra for an iced drink was a bit weird. was excited to try square mile coffee but the price compared to the size is very off putting so i don't think i will go again. i saw clear iced cups which were bigger (and makes sense since the ice will take up more room, meaning a hot-drink cup won't make sense!) and not sure why they weren't using it. the coffee was tasty but it was all gone in a few sips

Cute spot with nice music, but I think really overpriced for what it is. I got an iced matcha and it was so tiny (used my hand for reference). Also got charged £0.50 for adding the ice.. i never got charged for ice before. So i paid £4,3 in the end for the smallest drink ever. For reference, i recently got a iced match with rose syrup (second picture) in shoreditch, an argubly more expensive place, for £5.5 and it was huge and delcious. Also got a leek & feta pastry which was meh, okay but kinda dry. Would probably not visit again.

Lovely coffee and pies. Would be good if they kept their opening hours/ days up to date as I make a special trip from Walthamstow to come here!

Fabulous cafe in the East Village serving Square Mile coffee. The best flat white you will find on the Olympic Park. They also have an excellent brunch menu - the toasties are very popular but I love the greek eggs (pictured) and homemade Greek filo pies.

It's a nice cafe, but it's so misleading with all the photos of brunch foods like Turkish eggs and bacon etc. The last time I went roughly a year ago all they had was toasties on offer...

Greatnright venue in a cool location. The dish to look out for is egg n tomato. Not much vegetarian options but staff are happy to swap ingredients.

Great little speciality coffee shop with personal service. Delicious coffee and sweet & savoury options. The lady who owns it is very friendly and remembers your order. The interior is very industrial/reminded me of school with the chairs etc and there’s an outside area which is perfect in good weather. Love the plant selection too. Best coffee in East Village!!

Second visit for sit in coffee. First visit was for breakfast. Quick service and lovely tasting coffee, but knowing where to queue was a bit of an issue with patrons standing in the way. It's hard to know who was in the queue as they started having a full on conversation at the till (three of them). (Not the cafes fault, but super annoying.) Menu should also be printed, as not everyone has great eyesight and it would be nice to see it clearly. This would increase sales. The coffee taste is zingy and fruity, which I like, as I like my coffee very strong. Not sure of the type. It's not to everyone's taste though. I've only had the espresso before, so I am not sure how their other drinks are. I've been twice so not sure about slow service. Both times it was really quick for me. Even despite my feedback I've given five stars 🙂 as it's good. No latops sign is very unwelcoming. I do understand why they do it though. Not that I want to go there with my laptop just it's quite brash.

Friendly staff, laid back atmosphere where you can sit and chill all day. On a nice day you can sit outside on the benches and enjoy the sun. I had a shakshuka which was not bad but I really envied the person having the ham & cheese croissant next to me!

Coffee beautifully extracted by a super friendly Barista that knew how to extract a good espresso. Beans from Square Mile coffee roasters, so you get top quality. Pastries where delicious, I had a lovely leek and feta, and leek and tahini filo pie.

Always have a great experience at Hand, personal favourites of the leek and feta toastie and the beans and eggs. Coffee is great too. Staff are always friendly, and service is quick. Would love it if you could find away to open at the weekends again!!

Service was cheerful and professional, and the food I bought (a cheddar and chorizo toastie) was good value for money. I would suggest cutting down the amount of oil in the toasties. Mine was swimming in oil.

Not as friendly as the other cafes on this street and no syrup for coffee or sugar sachet. Coffee cups are small too. Good taste overall I guess

Love the Greek touch on their menu. My go to place for avocado on toast, it’s the best!

Always love Hand Cafe! It's become a weekly ritual/walk - amazing coffee and array of sweet and savoury treats. I recommend to anyone to visit this place if its safe to do so. Staff are also wonderful!

“Hands” down one of the best places to get coffee in London. Friendly staff, I’ve been coming here for the last year through the pandemic. Their flat white is bliss.

Great cafe with only a small number of dishes on the menu but both that we tried were amazing. Excellent coffee. Decor is inviting. Staff were friendly and service was quick.
