Descending the steps from Court Road ill-prepares the newcomer for this unexpected destination. Delightful landscaped area dominated by a large pond that frankly challenges preconceptions and rewards visitors with a bounty of birds and waterfowl in a relaxed and tranquil setting. I always enjoy a lovely walk around the tarn, so nice to see how beautiful places are in Eltham. I've been going here since I was a child and now I also take my children too. My only negative is that I wish it still had the tuck shop and open toilets lol **Edit** Went back again today, the beautiful signets are really growing. It was lovely to see careworks looking after the park, trimming the trees and hedges. Yet again another lovely afternoon

True sanctuary on your doorstep. This place desperately needs funding. At the moment it's maintained by local volunteers who are clearly doing their best.

Gorgeous little park to feed the ducks and squirrels. Ideal spot for a picnic. No dogs allowed, but this is to protect the birds and their nesting

Beautiful wildlife haven. Very relaxing environment considering how close it is to a main road and railway.

First visit! This place so beautiful and peaceful; apart from the parakeets of course! Make sure you take monkey nuts and bird seed pls!. Squirrels will come right up to you and there are loads of birds, ducks of all kinds, geese too. Oh and there's a great cafe across the road- eggs & co.

Absolutely beautiful little walk. Its great for the kids to play hide and seek and feed the ducks. It changes so much at different times of the year so go across the seasons.

The park garden should be beautiful but looked rather scruffy on 1 September visit; needs a lot more care. The whole of the pond surface was covered with duckweed, the ducks like icebreakers ploughing through bright green soup.

Lovely little Oasis, tucked away behind fencing near Mottingham Station. With beautiful and varied trees, plants and wildlife, and a fountain in a lake, you could think you were in another world!

Great to take the kids for a walk through this nature haven! Full of ducks and wild life. Peaceful spot when you want to get away from the surrounding busy London.

The tarn is a pleasure to visit. So calm and relaxing and peaceful here. Its lovely to have somewhere quiet and pleasant to go to. And a good part of history for eltham. :-)

This is a surprise... Very quite given its just if the A2 and main roads. Kids chased the ducks (repeatedly told not too). Butterfly garden is good an though small very much worth a stroll.

Great park, but it’s not maintained that well. The walkways are broken in some places. The pond attracts a good variety of birds to watch.
