😠 Paid for silver service for my bike, the next day on my commute the pedal fell off. They insisted it was coincidence, but agreed to fix it for free. I felt badly treated and gas lighted. In addition, bike was returned dirty and I'm not convinced my bike was given a proper service. Never going back. People often mention bike, service, shop, recommend, helpful, Cycles, staff, fixed, Greenwich, great,

What an amazing experience. My bike had it’s handlebars stolen and gears and brake cables cut whilst I left it for a few hours at Canada Water station. Managed to recover it on the bus and called into Cycles Uk. The assistant was incredibly helpful and said he would keep the price down and try to do asap. Unbelievably I got a call 2 hours later to say it was fixed and £100 cheaper than originally quoted. Thanks so much. Not sure who I dealt with but if anyone at Cycles reads this you can track it back to him using the pink receipt number 177144

Completely overpriced. I went in to get my brakes tightened and was quoted £12 over the phone and when I got there, the told me £40 on brake pads that were still find. After talking to another local bike shop, they told me Cycles UK were known for charging way more than is needed. Would not recommend this business.

Great service. Omar and Stephen were really helpful in getting the bike I was after sent to the shop and held it for a number of weeks for me while I had to wait for the cycle to work vouchers to be processed

The service I received in store was exceptional. I first ordered a bike on the Cycles UK website, which was to be delivered in the Greenwich store. I was attended by Stephen, who was extremely helpful in getting the additional bike parts fitted and ready for the day I wanted to collect it. After collecting the bike, I realised that it wasn’t quite what I had expected, and so I called up the store to see whether I could exchange it. Stephen answered and was very willing to help exchange the bike, find the best replacement option and ensure that all of the additional parts on the original bike get re-fitted on the new bike. Not only that - when I asked about taking advantage of the Black Friday discount in the exchange, he proactively called head office to find out whether this would be possible, before ringing me back to confirm. Stephen’s highly professional and attentive service is very much appreciated as a customer, and he deserves to be recognised.

I walked in from the rain with a puncture and asked to buy an inner tube and borrow some tyre levers to change my inner tube myself and was told 'we don't lend out tools' and that I could get them to change it for me for 20 quid. To any experienced cyclist, this is really not at all in the spirit of cycling. 20 quid is an extortionate price just to change an inner tube and they didn't allow me to change it myself, which i could have done in 10 minutes! Would not recommend as they were unwilling to help me out as I could not afford to spend 20 quid on changing an inner tube on the road

Staff are very friendly and accomadating. Spoke to the mechanic over the phone and he is very knowledgeable in the field. There were some issues with my bike which I wasn't aware of and although they were quite pricey to fix I was thankful that they had been pointed out to me. Booking in a service was quick and easy and slots were available within the same week that I called.

Friendly staff, great service. When they were not able to fix rear wheel as expected, manager lent me his own bike until fixed. Very helpful!

While riding to Charlton a few days ago I got as far as Greenwich when my handlebar suddenly snapped. Fortunately I was at traffic lights and they snapped as I was about to ride off. If I'd been riding at speed when this freakish incident occurred this could have ended much more deleteriously. I walked back home the 3 or so miles to Peckham with the bike on my shoulder and when inside the flat had to file down part of the stem to remove the headset and then release the forks from the frame. Try as I did - and I was brutal at times - the remnants of the stem wouldn't budge and eventually I admitted defeat. A local cycle shop in Peckham is closed on Monday so using my brother's road bike visited Cycles UK in Greenwich. I was met at the door by one of the staff and explained what had happened and he asked me to wait whilst he took the fork with the recalcitrant stem to area repairs etc are carried out. I waited outside and about five minutes later the guy I initially saw opened the door with the fork and now separated stem! I was expecting to be given a quote for trying to remove the stem and instead was given back usable forks and NO CHARGE for doing this!!! Gobsmacked at such brilliant service and delighted to offer a 5 star review of Cycles UK. PS. The Chas Roberts bike that I ride daily has been neglected and left outside in all weathers since 2017 as I sleep in a MPV. It's a beautiful bike, the best I've ever ridden and unfortunately the rust is seizing up the seat stem, pedals and the frame might possibly suddenly disintegrate one day... but I hope I can get many more pleasurable miles from it before it goes to the cycle graveyard.

Great bike shop, my partner and I have both been here for new kit as well as getting our bikes serviced. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and have gone over and above when servicing our bikes.

Really helpful and kind; repaired the valve in my toddler’s balance bike tyre within five minutes and refused to take any payment re labour and new parts. Our son remarked ‘the nice gentleman fixed my bike’ when he returned to the car: it made his day and ours as grappled with trying to fix it most of the afternoon. Highly recommend for service and overall niceness!

Fantastic friendly service and great advice. They kept in touch all the way through and found a great cost effective solution to a problem with my Cannondale. 5 stars!!

Stopped in as I was passing because I hadn't been able to properly adjust my mudguard to prevent it rubbing against the tyre. John was a hero and struggled against that recalcitrant mudguard until the wheel spun silently and cleanly again. All for the charge of a good review which I'm very happy to give. When I finally need a new bike this will definitely be the shop I go to and I'm glad it's not far from me. Thanks again!

Really friendly people and good customer service. I got my bike yesterday and I got to test the bike out so there is worries if you want to buy your bike and test it out. I got my bike with cycle to work scheme and it was very straightforward no complications or anything.

We were in the shop over the weekend getting my daughter's bike fixed and I was so impressed by the great service. They fixed the bike quickly and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend and would definitely go back.

After trying to fit new pedals on my indoor trainer bike, I messed up the thread on the right pedal side, and not having any way of fixing the issue myself, I took my kit over to Cycles UK. After explaining my situation to the person at the desk, Omar offered to try and resolve the issue. He got straight to work, was successful in getting the thread going again and even took the time out to fit my pedals, shared some advice going forward and let me know about the additional services on offer. The store members here could not have been more welcoming or helpful and I now know where to go should I need any work done - this was a relatively small job and it was completed to a high standard - I just wish I’d found out sooner! Thank you to the Greenwich Cycles UK team! Fran

Ordered a bike bell online with express delivery for a birthday gift, giving plenty of time for delays. Told 7 days until dispatch, which was fine as I had given myself plenty of time - even if we factored in it could be 7 working days. 14 days later: no update, no bell, no birthday gift. Wouldn't trust to order anything in time again.

Only went in to the shop to understand what frame size would be best for me but Jon took the time to answer any question I had about a variety of bikes, their design, the price ranges, the quality differentials, the points of diminishing returns etc... there's really nothing Jon doesn't know about bikes - cars too if you want a sideline chat. Dan was also very welcoming and I ended up turning that quick visit into about 45 minutes of good chat and came out with a much better understanding of what bike I need and the best way to service it. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Recently went into the shop, stood there with idling staff but no one greets. Asked for a bike with a “budget” (£550) and was told they don’t sell bikes at that price. But when I checked their online shop there are quite a few decent choices. Not sure if the staff knew about their own online store. Prepared to spend £900+ here to be welcomed.

Outstanding service. Brought in a bike recently purchased from another shop to fix a build problem. Extremely helpful with the issue, actually found fixed another that I wouldn't have noticed for some time. Can't recommend enough,; I'll be bringing my business here from now on.

Great people, really helpful, know their stuff, helped me understand the voodoo science of indexing your rear derailleur..! Thanks Adam!! 😊😊 Proper decent bike shop with great service willing to help on the spot - a gem.

I have bought Trek road bike. The staff are overall friendly (apart from one member of staff who seemed annoyed when asked for advice ). I mentioned few times I will use my bike for long commute to work 5 days a week. First day got stuck in clipless pedals as they were set maximum tight. Had problems with falling down saddle as there was no grease. Bottom bracket making lots of noise due to lack of any grease/lubricant. Unfortunately I can't say I'm happy with the service and won't be coming back for any maintenance/repairs. Got it finally working in my local bike store, guys did a brilliant job.

Busted my chain cycling through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel today, went here to ask if it could be fixed and within minutes it was working again. Amazing service and also very reliable over the years, my family are cyclists and they also love this place. 5 stars.

Super helpful. Even though i didn’t want to buy anything they gave me a box that I needed to send my bike to South Africa. They even helped me with padding material and sticky tape. Great service, highly recommend

Mike and team are very knowledgeable and go out their way to help. Very happy with the on going service. Wouldn't take my bikes anywhere else unless they're super busy which can happen. Probably because they're a great bike shop. Highly recommend.

Customer service should be improved. Update: After leaving this review I was contacted by the company and was offered a sincere apologies. My bike was ready next day. We had a good chat with the owner/manager, he was very sorry about the delay. They also offered me a free service in 6 month. It was very unpleasant to wait such a long time for repair, but I hope it was just me unlucky. So I'm raising the review from 1 to 4 stars. I bought a bike from cycleUK, and after 2 rides a rear derailleur completely failed. I brought the bike for repair into Greenwich branch almost 2 months ago, and I haven't seen my bike since then.. I called multiple times to their branch and they always "chasing" Specialized. Promising to call me be back next day with update, but never call.. I understand that you are probably very busy. But this doesn't mean that you should ignore and lie to your customer.
