Beautiful park! Great mix of trail-style paths and paved pathways. Really big area, and family and dog friendly. There's a cafe inside close to the entrance from abbey wood for a break. Would be a great place for a picnic though. There's also a bus stop right next to it so easy to access, and it's walkable from abbey wood station.

So much to explore here. The children absolutely loved this day out. To be in London with such extensive grounds and ruins, feels like a summer vibe! Plus extensive playground area(s). Multiple playground options for all ages! The cafe provides ice cream, hot drinks and hot foods (paninis bagels etc) plus very clean toilet facilities. This is a brilliant location for a family to spend the day

Lovely place to spend some time in. Large park to walk around, and the Abbey is a very interesting spot to just chill around. They have a monthly market with some interesting stalls

A great place to pause for a while. I came across the ruined abbey while completing the Harold Way (a long distance path from Westminster to Battle) and stopped here for a coffee and a rest. It does feel like a special place - quite peaceful.

Love this place. Things to discover from the woodland and Abbey ruins to the carvongs in the tress. A good alfresco snack shack too, with reasonable prices. Not far from Abbeywood train station.

Really cool! Be sure to go to the fossil pit (bring in a sieve) and try to find some shark teeth! After a lot of digging I managed to find two of them. But be careful, the fossils can be quite brittle! Definitely a great experience for parents, children, and bored millennials. It also has a great view of London.

Lenses Abbey (or Abbey Ruins as it is known locally) has a great deal to offer with extensive woodland walks, a lovely coffee shop and play area. The main attraction is the Monastery Ruins with adjoining monks garden sporting all sorts of edible plants (that you ARE NOT encouraged to eat!!). I would recommend the woodland walks in the spring and early summer due to beautiful banks of Wood Anemones followed by blue bells. There are also various open air productions and events held within and around the ruins themselves. Parking is now an issue due to the increase of traffic with the Elizabeth line. However the Elizabeth line station Abbey Wood is a five minute walk.

Always such a pleasure to explore. Several paths take you through the character fuel woodland rich with hornbeam, oak and birch trees. A perfect place to escape and connect with nature. I parked on New Road. There are some free spaces further up the hill and restricted parking nearer the entrance (11am - 1pm residents only). Popular with dog walkers.

An unexpected treat extensive medieval abbey ruins in lovely park/woodland. A great little cafe, onsite toilets and made more accessible thanks to the new Elizabeth Line.

Big massive place for kids and family, there is a big forest ,small lake, and kid play ground , big grass and long path to run ! U will see people walk with dogs so if u go with kids just pay attention as some running dogs may come and scare kids.. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The place feels spooky even on a sunny day. Except for the abbey ruins and kiosk, there is not much to see, even the viewing point is barely noticeable. Note: there is a pretty steep path to reach the Heathland, walk carefully to avoid injuries when you climb down the hill
