I was lucky enough to get assigned Erin as my physio when I came in with sprained ribs from continuous sickness from my pregnancy. Erin was able to tackle my pain around my condition and see me through the second trimester well into the third - I managed to overcome my rib issues, she was incredibly supportive, so good to have someone who knew what I was going through and factored that all into her treatment plan to make sure everything we did suited the stage of pregnancy I was at. I'll be so grateful for all of her help and for the fact that she was part of my journey. I'd happily recommend her to anyone, but especially to any pregnant women who may feel nervous around getting physio in their condition - Erin is who you want in your corner, she'll adapt her approach to ensure you're comfortable and make sure you get the best from every session with her.

It was the most surreal visit. When I entered, everything seemed perfect: the personnel was polite and smiling, and the interior was pleasant looking and clean. The therapy itself was also fine. But then when I was leaving, I was asked to pay almost 100 pounds. I explained I am insured by BUPA, which I also said on the phone and again when I entered the facility. Then the lady at the counter said soft tissue massage is not included in my membership. Yes, I recall our conversation on the phone: she told me that, and therefore I changed my appointment to be a Physiotherapy visit cause I was not willing to pay. She insisted that on the phone, I really wanted therapy with X.X, who only does soft tissue. Which is ridiculous cause I didn't know the person and what they do - the lady herself suggested I see X.X cause she was the first person available. When I was explaining that, she went to fetch her manager, who came and said that while she couldn't know what happened on the phone, she knew they sent an email that said it was soft tissue therapy. Yes, I didn't read the confirmation email thoroughly, but from my perspective, if I say that: a) I don't want to pay; I'd instead do physiotherapy rather than soft tissue b) I give them over phone BUPA membership details c) I tell them when I arrive I am a BUPA client I should feel safe enough that my visit will be covered. The worst thing for me is the 0 regard for the customer - I claim some truth, and they treated me like a liar, supporting the 'truth' of their employee. I felt very uncomfortable with two ladies (the manager and the receptionist) arguing with me, so I gave up and paid (I could feel there was no way anyone would take my side). They gave me a 10% discount which still meant a 90 pounds charge. TL;DR The facilities are good, but they forced me to pay for the visit (100 pounds - 10% discount) even though I booked a free consultation covered by private insurance.

Prior to my appointment with Mathew Virden I was taking pain medication every day for my ankylosing spondylitis. Following his consultation and recommended routine I have no longer needed to take any pain medication so far! The exercises have done wonders and I just want to relay a huge thank you to him. (I must say before the consultation I had little hopes that physio could help, I’m pleased to have been wrong).

James is a brilliant physio! I saw him over a period of 12 months after my Achilles rupture (post op). He made me feel confident and safe from the first session, after a devastating injury. He gets the balance right between pushing you / your progress and reassuring when needed. I also got sent detailed notes / exercises to complete after each session with plenty of variety. Towards the end of my rehab, James tailored the sessions to netball specific drills, to help get me back on track to play again - which I greatly appreciated. I am now back to full fitness & I would highly recommend!

I've had regular appointments with Jack Bain who has helped me with my shoulder mobility, strength and confidence following stabilisation surgery last year. I was nervous to start moving my shoulder again after recurrent dislocations, but Jack has been incredibly reassuring at every step of the way. I feel stronger than ever and know what I need to do to maintain this - 100% recommend! Everyone at the clinic is super friendly and the facilities are great.

Highly recommend Cameron! He took the time to listen and understand my injury and even communicated with my personal trainer on what exercises I should/shouldn’t do while in recovery. He always followed up and explained everything with images of the body to help me understand my injury better. Thank you for getting me back on track so quickly! :)

I highly recommend Erin Lahay. As a very active runner, I have been unfortunate to have had a micodisectomy surgery 5 years ago when I was 25. After this, I re-herniated my disc another 4 times. I started seeing Erin after I re-herniated my disc in February 2023, 10 months ago and am completely painfree and feel incredibly confident but also more aware of my capabilities I have ever been. Erin helped me get back on track by: - Teaching me my limits - one of the main reasons why I kept on re-herniating my disc is that I over-excersiced. Learning my limits have given me the confidence that I won't re-herniate my disc for a 5th time - Guiding me through (physio) excersices to build up strength - she really did this by focusing on the excersics I enjoyed most, making the whole process very exciting and pleasurable - Testing my capabilities which has given me insigths of what I am actually capable of - Answering any questions I had around my back issues and excersices - Staying on top of my progress - at times (usually every session) I would forget where we left off, but Erin really functioned as my memory and Erin knew exactly what we had done before and what was to come next - Providing great mental support - this really helped me build hope and motivation to get back on track. 10 months after my herniated disc, I am running 10km painfree with a very good pace and that is certainly due to the confidence Erin helped me build I am very grateful to be able to run painfree, do Pilates and all other things I am passionate about. Without Erin I don't think I would have had the confidence to start planning for a half-marathon in May 2024! Thank you :)

I would definitely recommend Pure Sports Medicine Moorgate to anyone in need of physiotherapy. I have been going to them for a while now for a couple of tendon & joint issues and each time they've got me running / weight lifting again. Ask for James Meadows - he's excellent.

  • 5/5 Em M. 8 months ago on Google
I went to James Meadows for tennis elbow as this was the second time it flared up after having the steroid injection and it did not work. He started me on physio at a pace that was comfortable and slowly progressed me as it started getting less painful. I am now completely pain free, James is amazing, friendly and professional and definately knows what he is doing I would recommend him to anyone.

Great physios that are supported by Andy Reay in the gym who helped me recover and really progress after a number of injuries over time. The benefit of working with Andy is that he had advice from the physios and insight into my injuries to help establish a long term weights and exercise program. Andy was not pushy at all and we had a balance of in person sesssions and regular program updates I could work on myself. With his help we achieved great recovery and developed my fitness and strength overall...it especially helped with my two young boys 😀

Had a really good experience with PSM physio Cameron S, exercises to rehabilitate from knee and foot problems have completely sorted the issues, all pain has gone. Couldn't recommend him high enough.

  • 5/5 Guim P. 1 year ago on Google
I've had the pleasure to have James Meadows as my physiotherapist. I absolutely recommend him. He has both a professional and friendly attitude, which I personally appreciated. As someone who regularly goes to the gym, he adapted the recovery from my injury to my own training. He is also very diligent at summarizing all the important points discussed during our sessions and sending them over email (something I have rarely seen in any other physiotherapist).

  • 5/5 Carl S. 5 months ago on Google
I highly recommend Cameron S for any runners out there! I had been having IT band syndrome for over 6 months and done multiple physio sessions at another clinic before my first session with Cameron. He started off by doing a full review of my running form and potential muscle imbalances following which he provided detailed guidance on warm up, running form and strengthening exercises. During each follow up session he has then followed up on these exercises and provided feedback on what to improve. I'm now fully back to running but should I have any issues in the future I would definitely go back to see Cameron and I have already recommended him to friends with lingering injuries.

Fantastic clinic and top class staff. I saw a physio called James Meadows for a shoulder fracture sustained earlier this year. His backround in the NHS and overall knowledge and skillset are second to none. He is able to provide detailed but easy to understand diagnosis of the injury and takes you through a realistic timeframe from which you can expect to recover. More importantly James focusses on how you're feeling during each session paying particular attention to stress and meantal health triggers and explaining how all of these can contribute to your recovery timeframe and how you generally feel about the injury. I could not recommend PSM enough and you'd be in great hands with James.

RE: Erin Lahay When I started as a patient of Erin’s I was unable to run due to suffering a consistent pain in my right knee. This meant I was unable to do any running at all. Over the course of several weeks Erin devised a tailor made programme to rehabilitate my knee so that I have been able to return to running on a regular basis. Not only that but with her help I was able to complete my first Ultra marathon (50km) in Morocco. I am sure without her help and guidance this would of not have been possible. Erin took the time to consider the most appropriate exercises for me and those that have been proven through relevant academic research to help an individual return to regular running. I have already booked myself onto my next Ultramarathon in March of 2024. I will continue to use the exercises and recommendations as a core part of all my training. If I were to encounter any further or new issues in the future I would quickly seek out her services and advice again. I would also not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone who should need them.

Jack Bain helped resolve my ITB-related knee pain, which previously stopped me from running more than 10 minutes. Now, I'm back to running 10k. His effective treatment showed results in just 5 sessions.

I saw James Meadows about an acute hamstring injury and was given great support throughout from diagnosis, scans, treatment and recovery to playing sport over a 12 month period. This integrated offer at PSM made it as convenient as possible to receive the treatment and guidance I needed. Most importantly I felt supported throughout the recovery and rehabilitation process. James was always on hand to answer questions and was hugely encouraging through any challenges and setbacks along the way. Couldn't rate my experience working with him any higher.

5 stars all around to Erin Lahay. I've had physio many times before (3x knee surgeries), also due to competitive reasons and she is the best physio i've had. She is super thorough with her assessment, she follows up on her results and really gets you through your injuries. I've seen her for both my back and my knee and she has been absolutely great. I've also recommended friends to go see her, and they have all loved her too. Give Erin a try, you won't regret it!

Andy Reay is a fantastic strength and conditioning coach. I ended up with an unhappy knee after ramping up my bike miles too quickly. Ever since I have been seeing Andy I have been going from strength to strength, cycling distances that I had never thought I would be capable of. Andy is knowledgable, adaptive and holistic in his approach, going way beyond S&C only. And he is very enjoyable to work with. I still prefer cycling to S&C sessions, but I do look forward to every S&C session with Andy. Superb guy.

I have been receiving treatment from Michael Stewart on multiple occasions now. Very thourough inital appointment and after a few weeks of treatment for alignment, I can feel the benefit in my gym sessions!

  • 5/5 Vanessa A. 3 years ago on Google
Online sessions with Andy Reay are transformational - recovery and speed much improved, and just generally moving better and eradicating unhelpful habits. After years of face to face PT sessions, I'm a convert to online. So much travel time saved, really flexible - plus access to expertise that was normally out of my grasp as I'm not London based. Thank you!

Amazing facility, great service and knowledge! Always very accommodating with appointment bookings and as a regular patient, you are allowed (outside of C-19 restrictions) to use the gym space to work on your own personal rehab outside of formal appointment times. Ive been seeing Jen Touzel at the clinic and her expertise, skill and positively have been awesome through a tricky knee injury. I highly recommend the Moorgate clinic and Jen Touzel

Had excellent treatment from physiotherapist Jen Touzel at Pure Sports Medicine. Very professional & knowledgeable. Helped me recover from a knee surgery, with tailor-made exercises & follow ups over the course of several months. Also stepped in quickly to help me with a separate adductor pain. Cannot recommend her highly enough. Great facilities too.

I needed some support to prepare for my first ultra marathon and to get support for some running injuries and strength issues I had experienced for a long time. Andy helped me out with a strengthening and conditioning program over a 10 week period and was absolutely fantastic in identifying where I needed help. He was also ultra responsive and helpful whenever I had any queries. *Result:* A top 5 finish in my first ultra. Couldn't have asked for more.

My experience with Chris and Andy was excellent. Immediately clear objectives of my session were set out, followed by a comprehensive assessment of my injury. Within a matter of hours I received a personalised training program to follow and since then have received regular communication, despite moving to the US myself. Very pleased!

I worked with Erin Lahay, a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, at Pure Sports Moorgate over 6 months in 2019, following a serious knee injury. The quality of service, attention to detail & specialist knowledge transfer from Erin, Marie and team was exceptional. Result being I was successfully rehabilitated ahead of time, and am able to fully return to active sports as before. I highly recommend Erin & team to future patients

Andy Stanbury has been in charge of my therapy for a year and a half now, and markedly improved my back pain over this time. He is very empathetic and attentive in his approach and always seems to know exactly what my body needs to feel better on any given day. I cannot recommend him enough!

  • 5/5 Bethan R. 2 years ago on Google
I saw Andy for soft tissue therapy on an injury that I had had for 2 years. It was clear he had great knowledge and experience and he was able to massively help improve my levels of comfort and confidence where I had previously had low expectations of healing potential. He provided me with detailed and tailored diagnosis. I would highly recommend Andy as a soft tissue therapist.

I was in need of a physiotherapist for a muscle strain and saw Jack Bain down at Pure Sports, and he was brilliant. He took the time to get to know all about my injury before setting me up with a comprehensive physio plan, as well as offering some really beneficial advice. I'd highly recommend visiting this clinic, great facilities and lovely people who know what they're talking about.

I had a few sessions with Andy Reay, who devised a strength-training programme tailored to my needs. Very happy with the entire process and with the way Andy takes the time to listen to your needs/requirements/preferences when putting together a plan - and with the results of course! Highly recommended.

I have been seeing Andy Rea for over a year now. Initially it was to fix a shoulder but now he is in charge of keeping my 50 year old body in shape and functioning. I find he knowledgeable, humble, diligent, interesting etc... I could go on. But if strength and conditioning is important to you Andy is your man!

  • 5/5 Samia R. 2 years ago on Google
Great experience, variety of exercises which are tailored across a timely programme of recovery. My shoulder injury from badminton is heaps better with Jacks friendly and professional help. Thank you Jack!

I first came to see Jack because of foot and thigh pains while training for a marathon. I was concerned it would result in me having to stop my training. Jack came up with a strengthening plan for the legs and feet, coupled with great advices for the runs. Not only was I able to continue my training, I finished the marathon without any new injuries. I can only highly recommend Jack!

"I began working with Andy Reay a little over a year ago, I had been struggling with recurring lower back injuries and had plateaued with my strength training. In looking for a trainer, I wanted to find someone that could cut through the often contradictory information in the fitness / training world. I also wanted to find someone to help me address old injuries and weak spots. Andy took the time to understand my experience, injuries and goals and has helped to build programs and coach me through them that have achieved great improvements in my overall training, I'm stronger, have had no injuries and have been enjoying my training again! If you are looking for a trainer that will help you to deal with niggling injuries, educate you on how to best approach your training (and individual exercises) and be an all-round great coach, then look no further than Andy."

Superb experience at the Moorgate PSM clinic. I came in last year with a lower back issue that had been incredibly painful for over 6 months by that point, and met with Matthew V who helped decipher my MRI scan report, and accurately estimated how many sessions I’d need to achieve being pain-free. Matthew was very knowledgeable and tried a range of methods, and towards the end of the 8 sessions we re-introduced strength-training and deadlifts. Since then I’ve had a few other niggles elsewhere, and have had sessions with Jack B and Chris W, both who are excellent and thoroughly knowledgeable too. The clinic is spotlessly clean; the front-of-house staff are always professional, friendly and very helpful; there are bathrooms and a dedicated changing area, and they have a great exercise/rehab space. The only downside is that it can be difficult to get an appointment relatively last-minute, (which is why I’ve seen a range of clinicians), but I guess it goes to show how brilliant they are, and you just need to book appointments in advance.
