I recently had the pleasure of going on London Walk’s walk titled “Hidden London with Adam”, and I had a wonderful time thanks to the tour leader, Adam. He knows the history of the area extremely well and was able to make it accessible, informative and entertaining for the group I was part of. You can’t go wring with London Walks in general, and Adam as a tour leader, to be specific. Absolutely something one should not miss!

Simon took our group on a Hidden London tour. He was so funny, enthusiastic and very very knowledgeable. Instructions about the meeting place was very clear and easy to meet up with Simon. Worth twice the price. I will continue to book walking tours with London walks.

We did two evening walks last week, and I highly recommend both of them! We loved our first walk, "The Clerkenwell Pub Walk - Monks, Malt and Mayhem with Andy." It was so much fun to explore the area's history and contemporary charms and hidden gems. Andy pointed out several great pubs and we grabbed pints at two of them. Andy had tons of amazing stories and recommendations for good eats and attractions in the area. We had a wonderful time and were sad when the evening ended! We also thoroughly enjoyed our tour last week, "Ghosts Of the Old City with Adam." Adam was an amazing guide and expert storyteller who uses humour and drama to bring historical events and figures to life (or death). He also did a good job offering potential plausible explanations for many of the supernatural phenomena, which I thought was a unique touch. The tour really enriched our understanding of the City and we had a blast. I think London Walks is one of the best touring groups in the world and I recommend them to everyone!

It's not often I can say I've learned cool things about a city but I must say, good job to our guide. I won't let out the secrets here but I'd recommend this although I'd might recommend end back where we started vs. At a weed smoking coffee shop. Lol but no complaints over all. Thank you again!

Absolutely fabulous! Our guide Adam was fantastic and catered to everyone, the kids, teenagers and adults in the group. All of them were utterly engrossed - we will definitely seek out more of his tours. Thank you for such a fun evening!

We loved ghosts of the old city with adam - he is a fabulous storyteller, the content is really interesting, and exploring the warrens of the old city was fun. I think Adam may well be the best tour guide in the uk.

We did the 7.30pm Jack the Ripper tour Saturday 11th June. I can not remember our guides name (sorry) but he was amazing. We very much enjoyed all the psychology and economic and social history included. Our guide was entertaining, informative and very charismatic. I would definitely recommend doing this tour. Thanks for a great evening

My husband and I booked the Beatles With Adam tour on our visit to London on our honeymoon and it was amazing. Adam was funny, well-informed and entertaining, and it was just the right amount of walking for the time allotted. We saw so many key spots in Beatles history, ending with the iconic Abbey Road, which Adam was more than willing to take photos of crossing. I can not recommend this tour highly enough!

I did the High Street Kensington Tour on Saturday with David. The walking tour was fantastic - my favourite so far! David was excellent and the whole group were so impressed with his charisma, energy, knowledge and superb insight in to the hidden secrets of fabulous London. Definitely booking again! Thanks for a great afternoon.

What a lovely evening! Lot's of surprising information (for me...) about Dylan, his time in London and how he was influenced by and influenced the British music scene

Did the Ghosts of the Old City walk in the run up to Halloween, with my two kids (aged 12 & 10). Adam was our guide and a masterful storyteller - hugely entertaining, knowledgeable and funny. I've booked with London Walks before and the guides have always brilliant. Brilliant way to bring the city to life and see and learn things you never knew.

The Ghosts of the Old City tour with Adam is terrific — he’s a hugely dynamic speaker, making the informative tour a bit like a walking history lesson crossed with a stand up act. Highly recommended.

All I can say is WOW!!!! I travel a lot, and I’ve done loads of tours, and these walking tours are by far the best tours I have ever done, in any city. Unbelievable value for money. Incredible guides. Insight, humour, knowledge, wit. Amazing experience every time!!

I had wonderful tours with amazing and knowledgeable Claire in Soho, Chelsea and Mayfair. I also enjoyed a very pleasant, inspiring Village in Piccadilly tour with witty and engaging Adam. I only wish Claire’s and Adam’s tours at least in summer could last more than 2 hour. They magnify you with interesting information.

We booked our original walk for January before Lockdown came into place, the staff at London Walks were very responsive and helpful with helping us change dates/times and gave us a lot of options. When we took our tour last week our guide was Peter and he was extremely knowledgeable and brought energy, humour and warmth to the tour. We brought our little boy who was 9 and all of us enjoyed the tour equally as there was so much to learn. We went on the Old Westminster tour but will be taking many more in the future. Highly recommend.

London Walks has been one of my favourite activities to do since moving here. The guides are incredibly generous with their knowledge. They are all so animated (often act out scenes, and incredibly literary). Today I did the Kensington walk, which turned out to be my favourite, mostly because of David. He was so kind. I hardly ever write reviews but I strongly recommend going on a London Walk with these guides!

The crime and punishment tour was great! Aaron Hunter’s knowledge and sense of humor were exactly what we needed to make our time in London memorable. On the tour, Aaron also was able to get us into cutlers hall and we had the best time with one of the Beatles. Thanks Aaron for a great afternoon!

Been on a lot of these walks. Great areas covered, but it all depends on which guide you get. Awful experience on Jack the Ripper walk - she gave long dialogues in same place, awful presentation and little of walking expected. Seemed to spend an age under a dark railway bridge! Left early, have some this walk a few times, they were great. One star walk, all down to guide. Few days later did the Covent Garden Walk, Simon led this - he was clearly enthusiastic, talked clearly and lots of visits to places. We even got inside restaurant Rules - an amazing piece of history. Five star walk, great tour, interesting history and a fantastic guide.

Absolutely fun and highly interesting tour with a lot of information about the history of London‘s East End! We did the Jack the Ripper walk with Andy as our guide. Not only was he very pleasant and entertaining to listen to, he also presented historically accurate information, which I - as a history teacher - appreciated very much. I‘d always book a tour again! Definitely worth the money.

Went on the Ghosts of London walk on Halloween with Adam. Really enjoyed the tour, Adam was very knowledgeable and charismatic, really selling the ghost stories to a group of people that generally weren’t superstitious and didn’t believe in ghosts. Was definitely worth doing and I’ll be looking forward to potentially joining another walk!

I moved to London 2 years ago and felt like I didn't know very much about my new city until I was fortunate enough to find London Walks. David and all the other tour guides have been absolutely amazing. They're a boundless source of history, and they structure the tour in a very enjoyable manner. I am so glad I found this company, it has really given me a new appreciation for my new home. I have already done 4 tours, and can't wait to join David and the team on more tours in the near future!

London walks were recommended to me & having now gone on 2 in 2 days, I’m so very happy for the recommendation. Richard III was my guide for both the Charles Dickens & Notting Hill & Portobello Market walks. Both were wonderful. I learned so much from Richard. He walks at an easy pace, with frequent pauses to deliver a fascinating bit of history. Richard is a terrific story teller; just a delightful guide. Many thanks! I’ll be joining again soon.

A night on the "Ghosts of the Old City Walking Tour" with Adam proved to be an enchanting and memorable experience. From the moment the tour began, it was evident that Adam had a captivating presence and a genuine passion for storytelling. As we gathered in the dimly lit streets near the site of the former Newgate Prison, Adam immediately set the tone with his theatrical flair, creating an atmosphere charged with anticipation and a hint of spookiness. His storytelling was not just informative; it was a performance, complete with dramatic pauses, a lowering of the voice, and *BANG* a stomp of the foot to make the group jump and giggle. Adam seamlessly wove together historical facts with local folklore, bringing the past to life in a way that held the group's attention throughout the tour. His vivid descriptions and animated delivery made it easy to visualize the scenes he painted, making the ghostly tales feel like a journey through time. One of the highlights was Adam's ability to prompt the audience to think about what may have been the actual origins of the ghost stories he was sharing. He had some real bangers I wish I’d written down. “That’s the thing about hysteria… at some point you feel stupid if you don’t join in.” He encouraged interaction between stops and kept an eye on the crowd so we did not end up wandering the dark streets of London alone on a Sunday night. By the end of the evening, it was apparent that Adam had not only provided a fascinating glimpse into the supernatural history of the London’s Old City but had also left a lasting impression on the participants. The tour was not just about ghosts; it was a masterful blend of storytelling, history, and entertainment, making it a positive and memorable experience for all who dared to join the journey into the haunted past. Also at £15, it is easily the cheapest way to spend 2 hours awake in London.

We booked the Westminster by Gaslight and were absolutely floored by how wonderful it was. Peter, our guide, was very entertaining, witty, extremely informative, and an all-around fun person to be with. If I were to choose one to her to take while in London, it would be this one!

We went for a walk with Simon on the Square Mile tour on 14 Aug 2022. Simon was extremely interested and passionate in his sharing of his knowledge of the city's culture and history. He also took time to talk to us to learn more about our respective cultures and countries. London Walks continues to deliver the personable service and is great value for money. Well done. Thank you so much.

Sarah and that morning tour of the tower of london! She's wonderful. We met near the gift shop (just slightly uphill around the side) and she gathered us together. We had a couple of late comers but she started the tour right on time and then brought them in when they arrived. She's not allow to guide in certain areas and she really armed us with a bunch of information prior to and after exiting those areas. She was expressly a English only tour but a family from France with soft English skills had signed up so she did her very best to help them through anyway, doing her best with the French she had. All and all a FABULOUS tour guide and I'm very thankful for her time.

London Walks Unknown East End. February 27th led by Matthew. I booked this for a pre birthday surprise for my wife. I thought I knew a fair bit about London but Matthew, the guide for the two hour walk was amazing. Fascinating and fun, he told us some amazing tales from across the centuries. With a local connection ( his mother was born in Whitechapel) Matthew came out with some wonderful stories, some with a personal touch. One of the best walks I've been on! You won't be disappointed.

An absolutely superbly entertaining, informative and fascinating walk yesterday with Simon. It was obvious that everyone had a brilliant time and our group ranged from young to oldies like me! The biggest recommend.
