I think that this is the newest member of the Davyโ€™s Wine Bar Group in London and itโ€™s a great addition. Set in the former London home of Sandeman Port, it offers dining on two levels. The ground floor is light and airy whilst downstairs is a little dark. There is also a private dining room downstairs and other function rooms for hire; utilising the original port vaults. The food is all to a very high standard and the wine selection is excellent. Also tried an excellent pint of Old Wallop; a traditional ale brewed for Davyโ€™s and served in a metal tankard. All of the staff are very friendly. Will definitely be going back.

Another addition to Davy's excellent range of wine bars/eateries across London. We went for Christmas lunch which was excellent. Fresh, expertly cooked and good size portions. Wine list is stunning. Staff very warm and attentive. Highly recommended.

Situated near Cannon Street Station, this is in such a good location to pop in for a drink, quick bite or a meal. Nine of us came in for a group lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant quality food on offer. Would definitely go back. If it's available all year, we recommend the fish cakes which look like a round ball but taste delicious! x

I had my book launch at The Tappit Hen. My GOD, what an experience. Fernanda was simply great and she was so kind by preparing the whole decoration for the event. I only had to arrive and bring my books with me. It was a perfect night with wonderful food and drinks. If one is considering to have their event somewhere in London, I would definitely recommend The Tappit Hen. Thanks again you guys!

I've been hosting a monthly evening for my networking company Wedding Breakfast Club at The Tappit Hen for a number of months and I'm just so in love with the bar, the staff and the food! Hannah has been incredible in delivering exactly what we need, and the staff are so attentive to the attendees. Even when we turned up 90 minutes before our booking asking for wine and ice cream, they welcomed us and accommodated us with very little notice for the afternoon! Thoroughly recommend a lovely glass of wine and the baked alaska at The Tappit Hen!

Hi there, Just wanted to say I had the best experience at Tappit Hen this evening by Bank. The service was outstanding, the manager was so attentive, so informative about all the regulations with Covid without making the experience intimidating or daunting. She made me feel so at ease and safe. The food was 10/10 without a doubt the best steak I've ever had. The manager also recommended a dessert - the chocolate fondant with brown bread ice cream- you HAVE to try it, it was mind blowing! She also really knew her wines in depth and recomended an amazing white wine for our meal. I will be telling as many people as I can to visit this particular place in your chain during these tough times. It deserves recognising. Particularly your manager and kitchen team! Thanks, Rebecca
