We
booked
a
private
tour
of
the
island
through
Isango,
with
HotelBeds
as
the
"local
operator".
The
tour
was
plagues
with
disasters
from
one
end
to
the
the
other.
We
were
told
we
couldn't
go
on
the
tour
if
we
didn't
print
out
our
tickets,
even
though
we
bought
them
electronically,
were
traveling,
and
everyone
had
our
verified
info.
We
were
told
that
even
though
we
couldn't
print
our
tickets
and
told
them
that
within
an
hour,
that
we
couldn't
have
a
refund.
We
were
told
our
hotel
could
help
us
with
printing
the
tickets,
even
though
we
told
them
a
half
dozen
times
we
were
staying
in
apartments.
We
were
told
that
our
private
tour,
which
was
going
to
take
6
of
us
in
a
van
around
the
island,
couldn't
pick
us
up
at
our
apartment,
even
though
they
could
take
us
to
anywhere
on
the
island.
We
were
told
that
our
tour
had
been
cancelled
because
we
put
an
apartment
address
in
the
pickup
location,
rather
than
a
hotel.
Even
though
it
seems
like
you
should
be
able
to
put
any
address
in
for
a
private
tour.
After
hours
on
the
phone
with
a
collection
of
very
rude
people,
we
were
eventually
able
to
reschedule
the
tour
for
the
following
day.
They
work
really
hard
to
make
sure
you
never
communicate
directly
with
your
local
tour
company,
but
when
we
finally
did
learn
who
the
local
tour
company
was,
we
gave
them
a
call
and
did
verify
that
our
tour
the
next
day
was
happening.
They
were
perfectly
happy
to
pick
us
up
at
our
apartment
and
never
once
asked
for
the
required
printed
ticket.
Interacting
with
Isango
and
HotelBeds
was
one
of
the
singular
worst
vacation
experiences
we
have
collectively
all
had.
And
that's
6
people
with
200
years
of
combined
travel
experiences.
Congratulations!
The
main
lesson
I
learned
is
don't
get
fooled
into
booking
through
a
tourist
company
who
is
fronting
for
a
local
company.
Just
track
down
that
locals
directly.
Shame
on
HotelBeds
and
Isango
for
having
some
of
the
least
helpful
and
rudest
customer
service
people
on
the
planet.
