TOP TIP: Everything about this place is perfect! Especially the well mixed specialist cocktails…. With indoor and outdoor seating this fantastic joint on Upper Street has newly opened (June 2021) with sister spots in Holborn and Oxford Circus. Everything is delicious. I had the thali (a mix of curries with rice and extras) but there is a huge range of delicious small and larger indian street food plates to try. All the food is full of flavour and deliciously (and beautifully) prepared. A great spot for a date or with friends and includes vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes and supportive of other dietary choices. This is going to be a firm favourite in my regular calendar of places to meet and eat. Ps. Inventive cocktails taken on traditional drinks but with added flare are well balanced and wonderful so definitely try at least one. Apologies I didn’t take more photos of my main meal but it smelt so delicious I started eating it before I remembered!

Had a fantastic time at Pappadum, great food, well looked after by the staff, nothing too much trouble. Talked us through the menu as not very familiar with Indian street food. Lovely atmosphere in a great location. Definitely recommend & will be sure to visit next time we're in London.

Really disappointed eating here. The portions were incredibly tight and the prices were too high for what you get. The pani puri was slightly stale and and not properly crunchy. The Pav bhaji was way too oily, not much taste and the buns tiny. The Bhajia tasted like they’d been re-cooked. Some crispy parts rather than the whole thing being crispy. I would suggest to the owners to think about the quality of the food rather than the money otherwise people won’t come back. I spoke to someone else who ate there and was very disappointed. Make sure your food is fresh like the pani puri which was a few days old at least and give proper portions to people. You’re not a fine dining establishment so don’t try to be one and rip people off

Spotted the restaurant and stopped by for quick lunch. The staff was amazing and friendly. The place was incredibly clean and really good vibes. We ordered the Vegan Chai and Pani Puri. Highly recommend their chaat as we kept ordering for more. The food and vibes gave is a nostalgic feeling of home. Highly recommend it.

Came here on a spontaneous one, the host was really informative and knowledgeable - he really knew his stuff when it came to cocktails! The restaurant boasts that it is home to the very first Indian cocktails and they exclusively use Indian syrups. Would give them a try!

What amazing food! The cocktails are absolutely amazing!! Greatest Indian food I’ve had lately. The chaat is absolutely delicious!!! The pao bhaaji is the best in town for sure.

Excellent eating experience - Just awsome “finger licking” authentic Indian Street food offering both veg and non-veg options. Everything we ate was fresh, delicious and figure licking tasty. The food echoed my experience during my last trip to India. I highly recommend it whether for lunch or dinner. O and the chai (Indian masala tea) absolutely favour full (how could I miss that?). Another point to make, in addition to a nice meal, the service was just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency ……………………. Compliments to the team at Papadum Street Kitchen.

Service was ok, was a bit disappointed in some of the dishes as I didnt find it tasty. The Kerelan prawn starter was amazing and was bursting with flavour.

Had a great meal there. Loved the service, loved the food. On top of that, at a reasonable price. The waitress and the manager were very nice, professional and friendly. They gave us lots of explanation and recommendations on the menu. Food was very tasty. Service was quick.

We were taken to this place by a very dear friend Zoha. She praised them a lot as one of the best chai and street food place and spoke high about the staff and the service as well. And YES she was absolutely right. We instantly fall in love with the place, ambiance, service, service style and of course food and chai. Chai comes in a traditional glass with parle g biscuits and that reminds me of my grandma and childhood. The ultimate place for our long neverending talks.

My first visit to papadum and I was blown away by the flavours and the cocktails the Indian fried chicken was delicious! The atmosphere was great the staff were very friendly, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner who talked to me about the philosophy of the food including some of its origin and the added twists that papadum have applied. All in all it was a great experience for me and I would 100% recommend and make a visit back! 10/10

Stumbled across this place and wow we were so impressed!! Greeted by a lovely friendly young lad on the door who showed us the menu and offered us a seat, we sat out side with blankets and heaters which was lovely. There was so much on the menu I could have ordered! Our food was amazing, best onion bajhis I’ve ever had! Only bad thing id have to say would be that it’s 3 hours away so I can’t get it delivered!! Hahah I hope to come back soon!
