First time having Azerbaijani cuisine and this restaurant didn’t disappoint. Everything was delicious(especially the goluptsi) we have them in my country as well but the herbs in those were divine. Service was great as well, the atmosphere was chill. We started with vodka and pickles and you should definitely do the same :)

Let’s start with the good, staff is very helpful and friendly. You can feel it’s family business. Food is great, taste traditional and homemade. Now the downside are portion. It’s quite tiny ... I would have expected a bit larger. For instance I got the Azerbaijani plov (Dices of lamb with raisins and dried apricots on top of rice) when the dish arrived I could easily counted the number of piece of Lamb I had... with one hand. I complained to the owner who has been very kind to bring me some extra. As I understand the place is relatively now and therefore I assume they still need few adjustments which is perfectly fine. I might come back in few month to try other dishes.

An amazing and authentic family run restaurant. A great introduction to the Azerbaijan cuisine for my wife and I. We started off with some borscht and beef blinis which the waitress kindly brought out two bowls for a single order - we basically got some free soup! There was a healthy service of bread to go along with this. For the main we shared an Azerbaijan plov again on the recommendation of our waitress and it did not disappoint, the lamb was cooked perfectly. To finish, we had a tower block of the walnut honey cake and some free tea which the waitress brought out. If you want some delicious homemade food from Azerbaijan with great portion sizes then look no further.

Really flavourful food at this little restaurant. Service was absolutely brilliant. The price felt a little high for the portion size, but the ingredients were of a decent quality and it was a really lovely experience of a cuisine I was unfamiliar with. I can recommend the Uzbek Plov which had really delicious seasoning.

It was an absolute pleasure to dine at this fine restaurant. It has the most authentic and delicious Azerbaijan food. Cooked freshly and served by such kind staff. I had the best experience at this restaurant, everything was very clean and the restaurant had beautiful decor which made us feel welcome. If I could give 10 stars I would! Thank you for a pleasant experience!

Very tasty food for a reasonable price! I’ve never had Azerbaijani food before but this was very tasty regardless. The portions of the main courses are decent but not MASSIVE, so if you’re hungry, make sure to irder a starter or share a couple dishes if there is more of you. The place is quite small so it can be a challenge finding a seat but definitely worth dining in. The staff are quite nice although not very chatty. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is lovely.

such a cute little place with delicious Azerbaijani food, nice interior and friendly staff! Note: As of November 2021 the restaurant has added more of Mediterranean food items on the menu, reduced Azerbaijani food to only Plov. The food in gwneral is still good and still recommended!

From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped by an incredible atmosphere that felt like a warm, cozy home away from home. The care given to each guest were evident from the start, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The culinary adventure began with the starters, and the Mimoza stood out as nothing short of superb. It exuded a fusion of Turkish Olivier salad notes but elevated to a level that can only be described as "way better." The balance of flavors and textures in this dish was a delightful surprise. For the main courses, I had the pleasure of indulging in Azerbaijani Plov, and I must say it was absolutely delicious. The flavors and spices in this dish were expertly crafted, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to authenticity. However, the real stars of the evening were the Pelmeni and Beef Khingal. These dishes were a must-try, offering a top-notch experience that resonated with the flavors of Turkish Manti, yet with a unique twist that made them truly exceptional. To conclude our culinary journey, I enjoyed the Honey Cake for dessert. It was nothing short of excellent, offering a sweet and satisfying conclusion to the meal. As a perfect companion, the tea served was not just a beverage; it was a soothing and delightful experience that left pleasant notes lingering on the palate. Land of Fire is a restaurant that not only pays homage to its cultural roots but also excels in delivering a dining experience that is both heartwarming and exceptional. The combination of a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and dishes that transport your taste buds to the land of Azerbaijan makes this restaurant a must-visit. Each bite was a journey into the heart of culinary excellence, and I can't recommend it enough. It's a true gem for anyone seeking authenticity, warmth, and culinary excellence.

My favorite meal in London! We had 9 menu items for takeout and they were all delicious! My favorites were Mimoza salad, Azerbaijani Khingali, and the Honey cake!! Such amazing flavors! Everything was packaged very well and in stackable containers that fit perfectly in the hotel mini fridge! I wish I had remembered to take photos of all of of it before it got eaten! I highly recommend this local restaurant!

I picked this restaurant on a whim, never having eaten Azerbaijani cooking before. My guests and I had all our expectations exceeded; the food was excellent in quality, presentation and flavour; the setting was relaxed and comfortable; the service was attentive, informative and friendly. I will definitely be going again in the future.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a charming little Azerbaijani restaurant tucked away in King's Cross. With only five tables, the restaurant feels more like a home than an eatery, and the owner, makes you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. The menu features traditional Azerbaijani and some Russian dishes, many of which I'd never heard of before. I started with the beef tongue, aubergine, salad Olivier and beef panckaes. They were absolutely delicious! No Azerbaijani meal is complete without tea, and does not disappoint. Their tea is served piping hot in beautiful traditional glasses, and it's the perfect way to end a meal. If you're looking for a unique and delicious dining experience, I highly recommend checking out Land of Fire. It's a true gem, and I can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes.

Lovely restaurant under very recent new management. All staff are passionate about sharing their delicious Azerbaijani cuisine. The waiter helped us newbies choose a good range of dishes to share. It did, as others have written, feel like an extension of a home. I'll be recommending this to my foodie friends.

A small nice humble Azeri restaurant located about 10min walk from Kings Cross. The chai and the pomegranate juice were great, and the plov was very rich and infused with so much taste. Would go regularly if I lived in London.

We were looking to try something different and stumbled up on this well-reviewed place on Google. The starters were very good - especially the Blini Beef - and our party of three each opted for the Azerbaijani Plov. It was good but arguably could have done with a little more meat-to-rice ratio. We also ordered three of them, but staff said only two could be made, which was strange as we were the first seating for a Friday dinner. Dessert wise, the Pakhlava wasn't great - I know it's the Azeri version of the Turkish classic, but it wasn't what I was expecting, it was much harder. That said, would happily recommend the restaurant for anyone looking for something a little different in London.

Tucked away in the busy belly of Kings Cross...this peaceful little restaurant feels like a home. The service, seemingly by a mother and daughter, delivered efficiently and respectfully. The food feels like a unique take on Middle Eastern/Eastern European and is a delight to all the senses. For London, this experience is high value for money. Cannot recommend this any more. I look forward to returning again to explore more of this menu. Its nice to come home after a hard day of work.

Ive been thirsty and didnt know it...Here, the simple offer of more water for fresh mint tea, or lime aside the traditional lentil soup mean as much as water to my dire thirst for hospitality. I wish I could eat the walnut honey cake every day of my remaining days. Can't wait to return and be led from the desert to paradise.

Visiting London, wanted to take advantage and try a new cuisine- picked this place given the reviews but to be honest I was a little disappointed in the food. I would say that other dishes could be better but we did go off of reccomendation and just felt like the Plov was lacking flavor + quantity and the dumplings were a little oily. Service was good although I would avoid sitting downstairs if you can. I would still recommend trying it for yourself if you have not had Azerbaijani food before!

The food is delicious. Really enjoyed it. But maybe you should consider lowering the prices or get bigger portions? Azerbaijan plov is £22 and it's expensive for that little amount of meal. Then wait time for meals is also too long. Also some meals they sell weren't on the menu. And some meals on the menu weren't available. Overall it's good for single time visit, but don't think I will come back with these prices and little portions.

Never tried the Azerbaijan kitchen and I was positively impressed. Obviously it is very different from my country culinary tradition (italian) Professional and polite waiter Great food with some similarities with Greek and Turkish. If I am again in these part of London I will definitely come back
