Delicious range of seafood and other dishes too. The monkfish in particular was great. Service was done with a smile and very welcoming

The food here was absolutely amazing. We ordered almost everything off the menu as we were a large group. From the bread, to the octopus, oysters, burrata, crab, duck, halibut through to the delicious desserts, everything was extremely tasty and of very high quality. Alongside the food was a great wine selection. The service was also really good, knowledgeable and friendly throughout the time we were there. I'll be back here soon for sure!

Natalie was an exceptional waitress, with her recommendations and overall energy. The food was exceptional and cooked and served to perfection. I'd say the jerk bream was more like bbq flavoured bream but it was still divine. The highlight was that brulee though!

Exceptional food, wine and cocktails - everything was exquisite, and though pricey, absolutely worth it. We were the only customers there at 7pm, but within an hour it was completely full, and had a fantastic atmosphere as a result. The waiters also know their stuff, and were helpful with recommendations. Really pleased that this gem is on our doorstep!

Had lunch here with two friends today for the first time. Food was fabulous! We had a couple of starters and then ordered various things off the menu. I had the tandoori fish collars. The fish was plentiful and flavorful and beautifully cooked! We didn't have room for dessert today but we'll definitely be back! I just want to give a shout out to accommodating a dairy allergy. In the pictures we've got the tandoori fish collars, gnocchi and cod with wild garlic.

Good food, service and atmosphere. Interestingly, some dishes were seasoned/garnished with Japanese ingredients such as maitake mushroom, perilla. Enjoyed their unique Japanese fusion. New potatoes with truffle butter, Lyon bread with smoked cod roe paste were our favourite. Not only seafoods, they also serve a steak but it was a bit of disappointment as half of it was thick layer of fat.

Fantastic dinner. Everything was so good and went so fast that I didn’t have time to take any picture! Their special: monkfish tail, was one of the best things I ever ate in my life. Our waitresses were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time and we’ll certainly be back!

We tried this out because the food on their Instagram looks great and it's not so far away from my location. At lunchtime, the restaurant was almost empty - so there was no warm kitchen smell. Just chilled seafood. And because it was so empty, there wasn't much atmosphere. The staff were really friendly. The food came out and it was nice. I'd definitely eat it again although I don't think I'd go back. It's maybe on the more expensive side. And if I did return i'd try at a different time of day for a bit more atmosphere. I'm just going to mention this because as we were sitting there people were coming in and asking if there were vegan options. The staff were being really kind trying to offer options but I would not recommend this place for vegetarians or vegans. Lot of seafood choices and some meat.

First visit for us and wish we had come here sooner! Lovely food and waiting staff. Realistic pricing and a good drinks list makes for a great Saturday lunchtime. Well worth a stop off if you are in Crouch End. Instantly made it into my local top 3. Oysters and smoked scallop roe the highlights for us but the rest of the menu also very good. Check it out!

THE DISCOVERY OF THE YEAR! ✨ 📍Hornsey, London ⭐️5/5 💸 £££ 🍴Yes, we have a winner! @lyonsseafood is officially my favorite 2023 discovery restaurant! They are an independent, family-run seafood restaurant & wine bar, and I couldn't love it more. Passionate about sustainably sourced seafood and their creative approach to ingredients, this is by far my top 1 discovery of the year! 🏆 The chef created a tasting menu for us with more than 9 delicious dishes, but these ones were our top 5 favorite ones: 1️⃣ Harissa BBQ Monkfish, Almond Red Pepper Salsa, Saffron Yoghurt, and Pomegranate - their signature dish 2️⃣ BBQ Fish Collars, Chilli Miso Marinade, Prawn Oil, Lime 3️⃣ Chilli Crab Choux Bun, Plum Ketchup, Old Winchester 4️⃣ Saltfish Croquette, XO Mayo 5️⃣ Dressed Oysters Ancho Chile & Apple Granita And of course, there's always space for desserts! The two we got were impeccable! Their Chocolate Fondant with White Chocolate Chantilly, and their Blackberry & Pear Sorbet will leave you speechless! Plus, special mention to their service, it was the best, 10 out of 10!

A real disappointment for this restaurant, even if it was a friend recommendation, quite pricey for what we got. 3 starters, 1 main, 1 set menu, 4 wine glasses, 1 cocktail , £190. Lots of wine and aperitifs were out of stock. Cocktail £14 tastes horrible. The fish cooking is inconsistent sometimes overcook sometimes too raw, taste is okay, but far from being good or special. Service was friendly but unprofessional, they charged few items at the wrong price, and offer you a wine glass substitute as the one listed on the board is no more available, but forgot to mention it costs doubles. If you want have a good meal with good service, this is definitely not a place to go. Shame,

Walk in on a Tuesday, not busy but very intimate and welcoming. Went for the tasting menu which was perfect, each dish explained to us and blown away with how good everything was, and great value.

Arrived at peak dinner time as a walk in table and they managed to find us a table swiftly. The service was slightly slow to start but understandable given how busy it was, but was friendly, knowledgable and made us feel welcome. Great wine list, and the food was REALLY GOOD. We would 100% come back again. Especial shout out to the South African team member who made us feel very well looked after. The steak special was a big hit with my partner, and we were so impressed that a seafood focused pace took so much care over the meat special.

Delicious monkfish - i highly recommend trying it! Also, the bread and oysters were delicious too. Great service as the waitress was super attentive towards explaining the menu and her suggestions. We will definitely be revisiting.

Cute restaurant with a lively atmosphere. I had high expectations on the food, as the place gets very busy during the weekends. The food is really well plated and the dishes we tried had all a creative twist in flavour. I recommend ordering many small plates rather than the large plate. 2 small plates that are exceptional : the salmon pastrami and the burrata. Finally, the restaurant had a wide variety of good wines, that compliments the menu. It’s worth trying if you’re in crouch end.

The dessert was extremely disappointed: 4, sticks of Comte and 6 ridiculous small Madeleines. Other than that, it was alright. Specialised in seafood and fish. Please bear in mind that it is a restaurant. You can't drink without ordering food. Food is quite pricing too. Focus on ordering the main rather than the small plates too, it worthed more.

I have totally failed to understand the fuss and hype of this place. Perhaps it goes to show how much we are lacking behind for some decent seafood in London! This place is nothing special comparing to any ordinary seafood restaurants in most other countries…. I mean this place is not bad apart from small potions and overpriced dishes. Their signature dish is the Monkfish, but the char siu sauce is too overpowering for fish unless you have it with rice. Service is ok, food is ok, ambience is ok, but everything is overpriced. There is nothing special about this place at all. Disappointed given the massive hype from the reviews, but regardless it deserves a 4 star. Food 8/10, service 7/10, ambience 7/10, value for money 7/10.

Amazing seafood place, every dish is made with a twist, super delicious! Team is very welcome and friendly. Cherry on the cake - yogurt sorbet dessert - and they are dog friendly!! We will be definitely coming again!

Struggled to get a booking here for a while and now I understand why! Excellent food. Attentive and knowledgable service. Beautiful atmosphere. We felt truly looked after all night. Thank you!

Honestly one of the best restaurants in London. Utterly blown away. Every single dish was incredible and an absolutely winner. Luckily we’re all glutinous humans (3 of us) and tried most things on the menu, so I can vouch for 90% of the menu. I kinda wanna keep this a secret, but feel it would unfair to you other foodies out there. Go! Instantly! Thank me later. 😘 P.s only took pics of oysters cos the phone had to go and make way for a taste sensation 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Flawless! Relaxed decor, covid safe (clear masks for the hearing impaired) easy drinking wine. Really delicious, fresh fish! Wish there were even more fish dishes to choose from. Front of house staff all clued up on the menu.
