Stay away, so much drama in that shop!!! Went in With my daughter to buy a goldfish for her birthday, lady wouldn’t sell unless we showed a photo of our fish tank with filter etc. lucky we had a photo of our fish tank, We showed her the photo only to be told only 1 gold fish will be sold to us as our fish tank is small. 4 days later after buying a bigger tank went again with my daughter after school to buy the other (2nd) goldfish but this time we didn’t have any photo of the new fish tank, she remembered us and therefore wouldn’t sell without a photo of the new tank and no one was home to take the photo and whatsapp it to me… walked out without a goldfish, you can imagine how upset my daughter was. My message to the shop owners is that if you want people to have bigger tank than why on earth have you got small tanks with10-15 fish’s in it, bunch of jokers.. and hey guess what, I went to another pet shop, asked them if there was any regulation and requirement on the tank size and the shop keeper said no!! I bought the other gold fish without needing to show any proof of the tank. And further the fishes in that shop are roaming around in massive tanks 4x bigger than those in fishbowl shop! Oh forgot to mention the shop keeper is such a friendly guy, he even explained how best to add the new fish in the tank with the other one. He now has a new customer where we will be buying everything we need for our fishes also will be getting 2 birds from him…

I’ve reported this shop to the RSPSA it’s terrible the way they keep pets in a small hot environment I mentioned the heat to the large girl who works in the shop she had a awful attitude ignoring me when I said about the heat in the shop and the rabbit was stressed out 🐇

Awful woman.I was trying to save bird such an amazing parrot which is so lovely and all day alone in huge page and this master called police on me even though I did not break anything and etc. I was whole month in mental hospital as this fake police work very well to destroy this world 🌎 as well!

Great place, seems very small from the outside but then you get in, go downstairs and find a great selection of fish! There's a lovely lady that works there, very helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely go back.

Good place for toys and reptile food but not recommending getting animals from here, they are not caged and enclosed properly, most also do not live long after being purchased

Lots of products and very well stocked, not badly priced. However they keep their small pets in such tiny cages. Understand these are temporary but they had three adult Syrians in one cage that’s not even big enough for one hamster (hamsters are solitary and need to be separated by 8 weeks otherwise they will kill each other eventually). The wheels in each hamster cage was far too small and you could see their back bending - Syrians should have a 28cm wheel and dwarfs 23cm. Guinea pigs also in small cages with no fresh food just a bowl of muesli. They sell tiny cages which should be against the law, a hamster has a minimum requirement cage size of 80x50cm but the cages sold were a third of that size. Sorry for low stars, staff were friendly but a pet store should be advocating for the welfare of pets not contributing to animal cruelty, I don’t know why rodents are always treated so poorly. Didn’t like seeing the birds on dowel purchases in small cages either, not great. Please please do your research on animal welfare before deciding to purchase a pet, or better still adopt. They are a living being not a toy.

Great little pet shop that sells live stock and a range of items for your pets. We bought a Guinea pig from there that was very healthy and they got the gender correct. Friendly staff who are happy to help.

Very rude staff, was refused sale of a goldfish as could not provide a picture of the tank it would be going go in. I would have understood if I was given an explanation as to why but it was the attitude of the guy I asked in the fish department downstairs - I felt I was being treated like a criminal. Just totally disgusting service - will never go back.

By far the best quality and priced hay I've found anywhere, on the high street or online! Well stocked with other bits too and the staff are friendly. A shame they sell live animals but the rodents etc seem well cared for (haven't seen the fish).

I love this shop! Stuff is very helpful. Usually I go there once a month to buy potted plants for aquarium and Tortoise food and from time to time some dog toys too.

Easy entry. Clean and well stocked. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of life fish and few other animals. Shop there everytime I need something for my pets. Will also shop there in future. You will find 98% you need for your pets.

Went to the fish bowl to purchase some gold fish as our beloved fish had died (RIP TOPSY) Slightly frustrated as I learned we was not able to purchase a gold fish due to the size of our tank but FIVE STAR JOE remained calm and professional and educated myself and boys on how to care for our 🐟 . Has a variety of toys, treats, daily food and beds for dogs! I haven’t really looked at the other items for other animals but most likely the same. The staff are incredibly friendly and can order stuff in for you! My dog loves visiting the pet shop, normally the bonus trip of visiting the vets on the way home! The prices are really reasonable compared the vets and the groomers! Definitely recommend!
