This was the worst customer service experience I have had in my entire life. The sales assistants were extremely useful and I have nothing bad to say about them. However, the owner and his wife had an appalling attitude and therefore delivered an awful service. I had purchased an outfit and after approximately five minutes, I chose to return this time, as per my consumer rights, as I had found an alternative outfit in the colour that I required. No alterations had begun on the time and I hadn’t removed it from the store, so it was a completely resealable item. The owner refused to give me a refund due to their ‘store policy’ and the fact that they don’t refund sale items. However, the product I purchased was a full price item and they chose to put 20% discount on this product and this was not something that I asked for. However, they do this on every single item in their store at all times, so technically everything is on sale, preventing consumers from getting a refund. When I asked him about ability to give a refund, he claimed that he had never given a refund on his 25 years of business, which I thought was absolutely appalling and he stated that his till was incapable of providing a refund, which is a false claim. There was no negotiation with this man and his attitude was appalling. I informed him that I was going to contest this with American Express, as there was no negotiation with this rude man. I am extremely disappointed with this experience and as a small business owner myself, I would happily offer a refund if a client had not received any services from me. I did not take the product or a credit note, as I am not from the area. I travelled a long way to visit this shop and I can tell you this will be the last time. All I can say is that I am disgusted with his and his wife’s behaviour and cannot understand why £90 would be so important to this ‘successful business’! Also, I would give a 0 star if I could, but 1 was the lowest I could give!

Horrible service after purchase - went in person to get everything measured. All they had to do is fit the dress to the size measured and add more fabric. Instead they decided to be cheap and extend the dress with brown netting on a blue and purple outfit. Afterwards they basically said it happens so deal with it.

We had such an awful customer experience prior to our wedding. The only thing worse than the quality of the fabric at Baabul's was the aggressive, dishonest customer service. My wife purchased an anarkali for our wedding. It needed to be resized and we noticed there were a couple of tears in the fabric. The owner, Mr Sethi, had it sent to India to be resized and re-laid. He promised if there were any problems with it, or if it wasn't made to the specifications we'd requested, he would often a full refund. After many months of waiting, it arrived at the shop. It had more tears in it than to start with. It was in a terrible condition and also didn't fit. Part of this was because they used cheap fabric. We showed photos of the dress to a reputable tailor we know. He was shocked and appalled at the quality and the fact that the wrong materials were used. Mr Sethi was totally unapologetic. To this day, he has never once apologised for what happened. My wife is always calm, fair and courteous. She requested a full refund for returning the dress. He said that he would refund it if she left her bank details with him, which she did. It should come through during the day on Monday, he said. On Monday nothing came through. I called the shop and was told to ring back at 2pm, which I did, but he wasn't available. It later turned out that he apparently wasn't working that day. My wife called the shop and asked to speak to Mr Sethi too, but also didn't get through to him. The message was eventually passed on to him so he called my wife on her mobile and demanded that she did not call the shop again. He accused her of being rude, even though this call ended by him putting the phone down on her mid-conversation. He said that the payment would come through by midnight, and that he never said it would be during the day. Never once did he apologise. She said that she would have to report this to the authorities if she doesn't receive the refund. That seemed to make a difference to the 'by midnight' claim, as the refund immediately appeared after he hung up the call. What an awful experience prior to your wedding day. Please, please do reconsider giving to this company your money, time and trust.

I wouldn’t even give it 1 Star (had no choice) I’ve bought multiple outfits from here, however the ONE time they get my outfit wrong I explained to them politely that I wasn’t pleased- however the response I received was extremely mean. I also spoke to Ekta, i asked her a simple question and she pointed me to a poster and said “I’m sure you can read” Rude staff, horrible service and extremely disappointed. You’ll loose your money and if anything goes wrong, they will put their hands up.

I bought my wedding lehenga from baabul, it was beautiful. As soon as it comes to tailoring, they forget about you..I was told to pick my lehenga up on 30th July and when I rang the day before, they said they've written down 30th August (my wedding is end of August). They said they'd do "an emergency" job and for me to pick it up near to closing time the next day. I went to pick it up and when I tried the lehenga on, the beads that they have clearly glued on 5 mins prior to my arrival all fell off...you can imagine how I felt after spending £1500!!! They said they'd glue the beads back on again if I came back in an hour! I decided to take this into my own hands and buy fabric glue and stick them back on myself! The attitude of the staff was disgusting, they left us waiting around and no customer service skills - as soon as they have your money, they don't care about you! Be very careful purchasing from this shop. I have proof of receipts if they deny me as a customer.

The most awful customer service and experience I have ever been through. Initial meeting wasnt too bad, in hindsight it was an insight as to what was coming. My sister ordered her bridal outfit, it was agreed that we would return on a specific date to collect (also written on the receipt and confirmed over the phone a week prior). Four of us took the day off work to head down there and collect the outfit only to find - 4 hours into our journey - they had made a decision to close on Wednesdays without informing us. They still havent updated their website! We waited around in the pouring rain, made and took numerous calls only to leave without the lengha. The man that called us was down right rude, arrogant and did not want to be accomodating at all, even threatened to call the police. I would advise people not to use this shop if they want a happy and seamless wedding experience! Shame on Baabul! Quick to take the money but slow to meet customer expectations.

Terrible owners… be careful before going there I wish I had read reviews of this place before making an order for an outfit. When I went in there, the sales staff were nice (Harleen and Roshan) who helped me and my brother find some outfits we wanted made for us. Once ready to buy some tailored outfits the owner Dimpy and her husband Goldie then stepped in to ‘help’. There were two of us buying mens sherwani suit (3 piece suit) with tailored Indian shoes to match, of which we wanted them made to measure and amended. These owners agreed to the request, wrote it down on a sheet, and even recorded on her phone the requests to send to her tailor in India. They were selling everything respectfully… until the day came when they called us to collect the outfit. So, we came to collect them and to our shock the work on the outfits were all done wrong incorrectly. The style of the suit jacket we requested was designed and made incorrectly, the inside kurta was not the right one we originally asked for - they gave us a cheap replacement instead, they left out small details like buttons on the jackets which the original design had, one of 2 suit trousers was a completely different material and not even the right measurements, and the shoes were made incorrectly to what we had requested. The male owner argued that we ordered the outfits this way but then Dimpy came and acknowledged it was all incorrect from the tailors side. She then called her tailor in India and berated him. I then told them this was unacceptable that they got soo many mistakes on our orders, to which they would not hold accountability for. Both owners kept saying it was not their fault and could not make the outfits again for us, to the point they were shouting and not finding a way to resolve the matter. Even though, the service was shockingly bad and they made all the mistakes from their side, they would not agree to make further changes. Dimpy then refused to show the recording of the original video she took of us telling them exactly what we wanted that she sent to the tailor. She kept saying she did not have any recordings. I wish I had recorded the original request on my phone, as i had no idea the owners would do this. When I got home she then started to call me names on whatsapp for requesting they fix this mess immediately as we needed the outfits for a wedding… i was shocked!! She even blocked my number from being able to call as i wanted to sort out the mess, which then left me stranded as i almost had no outfit for the wedding. Both the owners were disgraceful in their approach to us as customers and showed a lack of empathy when trying to resolve the problem, instead creating more issues. I would never recommend going to this shop, unless you want to leave with a headache and stress. I would give this place a minus star if google would allow me to.

This place is an absolute catastrophe. My fiancée bought a dress from here a few months ago, and then told them to make some alterations on it. Now she went there again and wanted to pick up the dress, only to realise that nothing had happened! They didn’t do any of the alterations that they were told to do, and when they were confronted with this, they made a huge problem out of it and wasted so much of her time. We will never come here again…

Second visit and we are happy with the service and purchase. I can't remember the member who served us but she was very helpful. We had 2 little kids around and she was so sweet with them too.

Worst place to get your wedding outfit.. girls do not go here!! My daughter has had the worst experience ever!! She has had her outfit ruined ordered in August first visit done with the owner designer and Harleen all nice and great at first.. took measurements.. appointment made to pick up dates on the receipt fone call received to be told that outfit ready..then to be told shop is closed on the day. Rude on the fone by a man to the point of being told send the girl!! Wasted journey.. my daughter went to collect her outfit to find it wasn’t even ready.. the latkans missing the blouse with net thread on the front of the blouse looking hideous who has a blouse with a seam on the front ??? Please tell me and also two inches longer than expected?? Duppata lost no latkans? Accused my daughter of taking it when she hadn’t .. found somewhere down a bag then to top it up the owner named Roshan had the cheek to say get the latkans off some other outfit and put them on.. made my daughters wait 2 hours to rectify their mistake !! Worst ever customer service!! Don’t buy anything from them if you want your wedding outfit ruined 😡 😡😡😡 absolutely ruined my daughters wedding outfit

Purchased a made to measure outfit from here for the first time. The extras I had asked to be added to my outfit wasn’t done so had to go back and ask them to get it done. Ibtissamamary was helpful on each visit and very pleasant to deal with. I would recommend them as their pieces are lovely.

Excellent selection of outfits. Searched all through London but finally found the perfect outfit at Baabul, Southall. Fantastic customer service as well. Ekta was patient, helpful and provided great, honest advice. Will recommend to my friends and family. 10/10. Can’t wait to wear the outfit. Thank you!

I got my nikkah outfit from here in May. Wonderful shop, gorgeous clothes and excellent customer service. The clothes are pricey but its worth every penny! They have excellent in house tailors who will tailor your outfit to fit you perfectly! The staff are so helpful and really do care about getting you your perfect outfit for your big day!

The owner showed me a few suits in store according to the colour I was looking for (non bridal). I had to alter and this was done on the day since it was minor adjustments. Material quality of suits were nice. Also, the in-house tailor service (Ali) is very good too.

I came across Baabul while looking for a Shwarni for an Indian wedding. From entering the store it was obvious these are people who dealing with quality. Lets start by saying that the design and the quality of the product is amazing and the price was very fair for the fact that it was altered for me as well. They were not carrying my size and I had to be in India 3 weeks later, Dimpy immediately took my measurements, made a call to their store in Mumbai and arranged for a suit to be altered to my size AND to be delivered to me at the airport!! Honestly, this is hands down the best customer service I have ever received. I was given everyone's phone numbers and kept updated about the progress of the alterations. I felt calm and assured that everything will be done on time and to a high standard. The gentleman who delivered the suit to me was waiting at the airport was very kind and communicative in the days leading to my arrival. For all of my Indian clothing needs, Baabul is the only business I will deal with in the future. Money well spent and such a pleasure to do business with them. Thank you!

Went in just to browse but there was a sales assistant following me around the entire time and was very close behind. I didn't ask for help, to be shown anything or directions, so that was unnecessary and uncomfortable. Made me feel as if she is watching to see if steal anything, which would be ridiculous because these dresses are very heavy and would be impossible to fit into any shopping bag 🤣. Anyway, whatever the reason for such personal assistance, please allow some space, freedom, and maybe even trust, to browse comfortably! Nice dresses otherwise.

I bought both my mehndi and walima suit from here, they had some of the best selection on Southall Broadway. Ekta and Kamaljeet aunty were so lovely they made the whole process stress free, they were so helpful and accommodating considering i was buying last minute. My outfits came out so lovely, the fitting everything was perfect, they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Couldn’t thank them both enough!

Bit of a mixed experience with them. We purchased 5 outfits in total for my wedding and they got many things wrong which they didn’t apologise for. Goldie gives good guidance on what looks good but unfortunately his attitude is what lets him down. He behaves like he’s doing you a favour by fixing an error they made and blame you for it being wrong. They take the measurements but still you’re in the wrong. In terms of quality, it was okay, but buttons and things were falling off prior to us wearing the outfits which you wouldn’t expect. Everyone looked great on the day and if it weren’t for these errors then would have given them 5 stars.

Hands down the best Indian designer clothing shop that I know off! They have the most amazing designs and service. In comparison to many other shops their prices are very reasonable.
