We had a truly memorable 10 day holiday – 7 days safari and 3 days beach on Zanzibar – booked and arranged through Tanzanian Odyssey. The quality of the accommodation and guiding services were of a high standard throughout - but truly exceptional in three of the safari lodges we used. We flew a number of sectors between the lodges and the experience was amazing and exceedingly well coordinated by the local agents and guides in a very laid-back African manner. The information and advice provided in advance of the trip was valuable and well presented – resulting in a trip that met and indeed exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend Tanzanian Odyssey to anyone seeking a top class hassle-free holiday using some of the best accommodations available.

Africa Odyssey planned our Honeymoon last June and it was a wonderful experience working with George and his team. They listened to our needs, and gave wonderful suggestions, creating an unforgettable trip of a lifetime. My wife and I will be using them again when we return in the future.

An absolutely magnificent trip - put together with real insider knowledge and, once we were in Africa, running like clockwork (if with a few more early morning flights than we had really anticipated!) In particular, the advice to go to Tarangire in the dry season was spectacularly good (by the end of our first drive from the airstrip we had already seen practically all we had hoped for, with much else besides), and Little Oliver's an especial treat with a real sense that staff and guides were delighted to invite you into their "family". All in all, a total success.

The guys at Tanzania Odyssey were amazing, they helped us plan out a safari trip of a lifetime for our 25th anniversary. They found us awesome places to stay at absolutely incredible destinations in both the North and South of Tanzania, capped off with a perfect wind-down on Zanzibar. They were quick to respond to any questions we had while planning, and gave us lots of options to consider, allowing us to create what I consider one of the best vacations of my life.

We travelled with Tanzania Odyssey to 4 lodges/ camps - & Beyond Legendary Lodge in Arusha, &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas, Asilia Namiri Plains in the Serengeti, and &Beyond Ngorongoro Crater. Overall, the trip far exceeded our expectations - logistics were seamless from the point we landed in Nigeria, the camps and lodges were extremely luxurious despite the remote locations, the food was excellent , and the game viewing was incredible. Everything was very well organized in terms of logistics from the time we were met in Arusha - transfers from camps to airports were very well easy and comfortable out and we were plied with drinks, coffee and cookies everywhere we landed . The "tents" would have been rather luxurious anywhere , but especially given the remote locations. There were elaborate 3/4 breakfasts and lunches with wine in the middle of the Serengeti , sundowners in the evening and delicious meals ( lamb curry, steak, vegetable curries , chocolate souffles ) paired with wine and cocktails for dinner. Game viewing was incredible - a pride of lions at a kill , a mother cheetah with cubs, elephants crossing the road in front of our jeep in the Ngorongoro crater for example. Watching a Wildebeest crossing with crocodiles in the water was a particular highlight . And the landscape makes you feel you are on a different planet! The Tanzania Odyssey team including Dave in particular did a great job of walking us through the options and helping stitch together the itinerary. Extremely flexible and responsive to changes. Overall, would definitely recommend!

Fantastic service from our initial enquiry to our return home provided by Tanzania Odyssey. After checking out local African travel companies here in Australia and then the internet, we were lucky to come across Tanzania Odyssey as they made our trip unique. They listened to what we wanted to do as well as gave us alternatives to consider. Nothing was too much trouble and they were always available. A great team to deal with. Traveling in a small group of initially 7, then 6 and then splitting off into 2 groups heading off in different directions involved a lot of organizing on their part and they didn't disappoint. We all enjoyed our African experience; from gorillas in Rwanda, 3 different Safari areas in Tanzania (Serengeti, Lake Manyara & Ngorogoro Crater and Ruaha national park), 2 Safari camps in Botswana (Shinde and Liyanti), Zanzibar and finally Victoria Falls. So much to see and the wildlife and birds were truly amazing to see in the wild. Hope to go again and would definitely be looking to book again through the team at Tanzania Odsessy.

My family loves to travel. Last summer we decided to do our first safari. With no idea where to begin I emailed African Odyssey. Edward phoned me back and was very knowledgeable about the many options available to us. He led me on a computer tour through the various regions, lodges and camps and highlighted the pros and cons of each of the locations. Edward was able to look at my family's needs and wishes, from the 8 year old, to the teenagers and parents too. We chose Selous and Jongomero with a relaxing week at the end at the Ras Kutani resort. This was all done over the phone and on computer since I am located in Canada. The service at the camps was brilliant. Every step along the way we felt that we were well taken care of and pampered. The accommodations were beautiful, the staff and guides were knowledgeable and friendly and the food was excellent. We had an amazing trip and I highly recommend Tanzania Odyssey. We look forward to our next trip with them.

It was the 4th time that we`ve travelled with Africa Odyssey to Tanzania. And also this time the trip was perfect. At Kwihala lodge the staff did everything for our well feeling, ,the food was excellent . And our guide Lorenzo was very professional, he knows how to find and show us the game so we saw so many many lions,even in front of our tent. Many leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, buffalos and many colourful birds. Also Kinasi lodge was nice- a small paradise. it was the second time that we went there, the lodge is small and beautiful , placed in a wonderful garden with a swimming pool. We went also watch the whalesharks. Kinasi Lodge has its own dive centre with a friendly staff and so diving was perfect, there were only few divers not to much people. We are absolutely satisfied from our trip.thank you very much for helping us to organize this trip.

Dave and the crew at Tanzania Odyssey were referred to me by a colleague and I can't imagine working with anyone better. Dave was super responsive from my very first email and provided a ton of information. He also took the time to ask what kind of experience we were looking for and tailor our planning based on that. We assumed we wanted to visit the Serengeti, but we didn't know enough about the region to have our heart set on it. Dave offered some compelling information about the Selous and we were sold. We stayed at Beho Beho camp for four nights and we were so sad to leave. I wish we had a couple more days. The safari experience was incredible and the hospitality was unbeatable. They think of everything at Beho Beho and the days are structured in a way that you don't have to think about a thing, just follow their lead because they know exactly how to do. It was so relaxing to know that your time will be will spent and maximized but you won't feel rushed or stressed or tired. We saw amazing game, including spending about an hour with a pride of six lions just my husband, me, and our guide. Literally surrounded by lions. And the sight of five elephants walking in the valley below our banda in the afternoon was so beautiful. The food is the best I've ever had and every meal is in a new, beautiful spot on the camp. They take care of you in every way and it's an all-around magical experience. We ended our trip with four days at Xanadu Villas in Zanzibar. It is a very luxurious, very secluded resort. It's a quiet and peaceful spot and you can either spend your time there re-charging or seek adventure outside the resort. We took some kite surfing lessons at Paje Beach about 10 minutes away and Xanadu booked us a car and packed us a lunch. Meals are prepared just for you and since it's so small the variety is limited, but it's really tasty. The grounds of the resort are beautiful, the villas are enormous and so high end. The beach is immaculate and basically empty as there are no resorts to either side. If we return to Africa, which we hope we will, I will immediately contact Dave again. The bush flights and all details were done for us and it made the trip all the more enjoyable. Thank you/
