A
Very
Cruel
Stand!
We
were
due
to
travel
with
Simpson
Travel
in
late
2020.
Simpson
Travel
informed
us
during
July
2020
that
due
to
Covid
19
pandemic
in
order
to
travel
to
Greece
we
would
have
been
required
to
test
for
Covid
on
arrival
at
the
UK
airport
and
after
this
test
self-isolate
for
possibly
two
days
whilst
waiting
for
the
results
upon
arriving
in
Greece.
We
would
also
have
been
required
to
wear
face
masks
from
the
time
of
entering
the
airport
in
the
UK
and
exit
of
the
airport
in
Greece.
And
the
entire
air
travel
-
some
3-4
hours.
We
would
also
have
been
required
to
travel
directly
to
our
self-catering
accommodation
and
therefore
being
unable
to
purchase
provisions
for
our
stay.
Also,
if
there
had
been
a
positive
virus
reading
from
a
passenger
on
the
same
flight,
we
would
have
been
required
to
self-isolate
for
14
days
at
a
Greek
isolation
unit.
We
were
not
prepared
to
travel
under
these
conditions.
This
was
a
significant
alteration
to
our
initial
booking.
We
advised
Simpson
Travel
that
we
were
reluctant
to
travel
and
sought
to
cancel
the
booking.
Simpson
Travel
offered
to
re-sell
our
weeks
holiday
and
if
they
were
successful,
they
would
see
if
we
could
be
given
a
credit
for
a
new
booking
in
2021.
If
they
were
unsuccessful
in
selling,
our
deposit
would
be
lost.
They
of
course
did
not
re-sell
our
booking
and
thus,
our
£800
was
lost
to
Simpson
Travel.
In
my
opinion,
Simpson
Travel
used
the
terms
and
conditions
of
their
booking
policy
to
pocket
our
£800
without
a
second
thought
for
our
fears
and
concerns.
We
would
not
use
this
company
again.
Again
in
my
opinion
their
main
concern
was
to
secure
as
much
money
as
possible
of
failed
holidays.
PS.
I
do
not
want
to
contact
Ed
Pyke,
what
would
be
the
point!
you
made
your
position
perfectly
clear!
You
have
our
£800
and
given
nothing
in
return
-
the
most
important
issue
for
Simson
Travel
being,
we
have
your
£800
you
are
not
getting
it
back!
