Lots of trees. Almost too many, though on my long quest to find what Ryan's has, this was a relaxing stop.

Love walking there. You really feel like you’re in the country side. Beware very muddy right now so wellies or waterproof boots!

Magical wild spot a short drive's distance from Finchley and Mill Hill. I particularly like the lake's western side, which looks like a rain forest.

Very nice park and nature resort. It's a great place with walking path for all the family ( kids included ) lots of nice trees and the lake next to you all the time makes everything enchanted . You can also take your dog for a walk in this beautiful park and enjoy all the beautiful nature around. Definitely will go again! Please like the commentπŸ‘

Lovely stuff, a hidden gem πŸ’Ž (literally, it’s a bit of a challenge to find one of the entrances) but once your inside it’s a great patch...Yes, the lake isn’t in the best state (there’s a crowdfund for its restoration) but that doesn’t make this place less idyllic :-)

A calm, green and unspoilt setting in the heart of N London. Largely undeveloped and ideal for picnicking.

Great place for a walk in the nature. Wellies are highly recommended most of the year.

Rural footpaths and narrow tracks through uneven terrain spread over 80 acres of wood, wet, grass and pasture land. Though never steep, often muddy and very mildly challenging. A former ornamental lake and the meandering Folly Brook, a rare wet habitat, the defining feature here in a greenbelt retreat apparently rich in flora and fauna diversity, some rare and uncommon species. Delightfully quiet and tranquil here at the margins of Greater London, worthwhile seeking out and recommended unreservedly.

Serene pond in the middle of a bustling north London. Can be accessed by bike or foot. Need to be a bit persistent to get there in cycle

Lovely secluded lake encircled by woodland south of Totteridge Village. A great spot to watch various birds and animals in their natural habitat.

It's such a peaceful lake. Finding the lake was an adventure. I will definitely go there again.

Darland Lake is a very small lake. Certainly worth going for a walk, but I wouldn't travel very far to come see it. The neighbouring farm land and small forest make it very pleasant area. I am not a birder, but there are a few resident ducks and have seen herons there.

The "Lake" or "duck pond" is more of a boggy puddle, wouldn't recommend taking a dingy out as me and my mates did. The HMS Dingus was 2 inches from touching the bed of the lake the whole time, nearly titanic-ed! and don't get me started on the smell. Wasn't a good experience overall. 5 stars!

A lovely little oasis to pause and enjoy spotting moorhens and listen to a breeze ripple through trees. Volunteers are currently involved in clearing Himalayan balsam from the edges: improving view points and stopping its spread across the reserve via the waterway (Folly Brook). Soon improvements will be made to paths to help people to get around. This will have a major impact on the area. In my opinion the trustees are to be applaud for their work.
