IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU CALL! I spoke to a receptionist called Hilary. She told me she was the supervisor. I wanted to book a blood test. I am not aware of the system and she spoke to me in such a rude manner. She wanted to get me off the phone and was speaking to me as if was disturbing her. Honestly, all the bad reviews are primarily about the receptionists. Gill Street doctors please retrain your receptionist team. They have no right to speak to patients in the way they do. EDIT: I just spoke to the manager and I am disgusted at the way she spoke to me. She was defending her staff and was completely disregarding my health care issues. She told me that she’s speaking to me , the way I’m speaking to her. How can a manager say that? I am a frustrated patient who hasn’t been able to book an appointment for the last two weeks due to “no available appointments” every time I call. In addition. She literally hung up the phone on me. I am not surprised that her staff members speak to the patients in a rude manner, they are simply following their manager. Honestly avoid this place at all costs!

My god I have never seen such rude reception team, then again not all them but 1 of them is absolutely disgusting, I'm not a racist person but the bengali girl at the reception have no idea how to take to humans with bit of manners, all she wants do is get u off the phone, I have even spoken to her manager who said she will look into it, but off cos nothing. She is forgetting she's there to answer phones for patients request and make appointments. They honestly need to do customer service training for their reception and let them know of their role

I would love to give them a 0 but I can't. Could someone teach the receptionist manners? She is sooooo rude and after hours waiting on the phone and when it's my turn, she hangs up because she can't hear me and I need to call again and start over. I need you to go back to the online booking so i will not need to talk that receptionist anymore.

DR’s are good but receptionists are rubbish… The Limehouse practice need to train their reception staff on customer services and manners! Surgery opens at 08:50, called in at 08:38 yesterday for an urgent appointment and phone not answered. Today called at 08:45 and a receptionist answered after a 16 minute wait only to confirm no urgent/emergency appointments available for the whole morning as well as this afternoon. Previously, even yesterday afternoon slots were only given once you called in that part of the day but today I get told the whole day is fully booked. It’s like I get advised about changes that seems to be changed whenever it suits the reception staff or the surgery. Several times previously eventually when you’ve been seen by the DR and explain the reception situation to them they apologise on behalf of reception team but this is ridiculous. Why can’t the reception team just do their job as it’s meant to be?

Would give 0 stars if I could. Tried to book an emergency appointment at 10am was told to call back at 2pm. Rude receptionist & poor service. Want to be treated like a decent human being then register & give your taxpayer funds to another GP practice.

I had an appointment with a GP on 23.01.23 3:30 and another appointment at 4:00 with a nurse. When I got on the receptionist the girl with wig asked me if I am Evelin I had no opportunity to say anything else before that so I answered with a yes and she asked me to seat down. I been waiting patiently when at 3:55 I asked if I might to called in and there is the lady with wig started to attack me with saying to me, I didn’t say that I have an appointment before 4pm she said I told her I have an appointment with a nurse where I had no opportunity to say anything just yes to my name. I said how do I know I thought must to be in the system anyway…So I asked her not to have an argument what nothing doesn’t changes I didn’t raise my voice any higher than her and she didn’t solve my problem she won’t put me to see the GP what is for I am waiting since December I had to ask her colleague who nicely without problem made the GP see me Her behaviour wasn’t professional at all more likely a little girl who can’t take if she is not right. Not the first incident by the way with her. I think she need change and I hope others will review her attitude.

I called at 8.30 for same day appointment, the rude woman over the phone said I can't book a same day appointment and that I have to go through the dr to get booked in? I explained my situation and she still tells me the dr has to book me in and she can't, I mean that's just ridiculous! Since when did drs become receptionist too? Been calling non stop daily to book in same day app and I keep getting told to call back at 8 30 or at 2pm I finally get through as I am the 1st on line and get told I can't book in the dr has to? And the woman was very rude, can feel her negative energy through the phone line, Why you doing your job if your not happy?.

On the 5th dec 2022 I had an appointment with Dr Aiysha Jawaid from Limehouse practice on the phone for myself and My three year old son. I have to say she is one of the most dreadful people that lacks empty and any human decency Iv met in a long while. After treating me over the phone and prescribing me medication it was the turn of my sons appointment. she was well aware of the fact that I was too poorly to leave my home with two Children both sick. She demanded I leave the house wake my sleeping unwell toddler up who had been sick For four days with temperatures on going 39.9 to 40 degrees and a chest infection( confirmed later by another dr at the practice) she gave me 15 mins to make her demands. When I told her my child is sick and his In his Night time sleep her response was “ well your going to have to wake him up then aren’t you and get here” then I told her I had been Waiting for the call From her since 2pm and his bed time is usually 5:30 /6 and that I Myself am so unwell I am struggling to stay out of bed. she ignored that part completely and went on to say “ im not going to Willy nilly give antibiotics to a baby like and adult” what am I to understand from that she game me Medicine in her very professional term”willy nilly”? I told her I understand she wants to see my baby but is there any other solution?she said you either come in or you don’t. Further more dr Jawweed proclaiming I was asking her to give my son antibiotics “Willy nilly” is completely unreasonable because on my sons records which she was well Aware of , was that he had been seen in person by a hospital out of hours GP. I told her that DR Riga of the out of hours hub appointment at the royal London hospital Had said if the temp continued then to call my own GP and they would Give him the medicine if he requires. Had she Read the notes she would know this as confirmation. She spoke down to me because she thought she could which felt because she is Asian serving her own community, she was riddled with assumptions and treated me like I was over reacting and wasting her time. Her tone was rude and accusing. After talking Talking to the Reception staff who where nothing like her said they could hear I was really sick and would talk to her… only then she gave two Options one was to get someone else to take my son in… wasn’t an option or to go In the next day. Why not simply just give those two options to start with? Overall I am unclear as to why a person especially in that field thinks it’s ok to Talk to people in their most vulnerable time of need in that way. What a waste of a job on a person who Lacks basic human empathy. What a shame she represents an otherwise very good GP practice. She needs to be sent for some training on talking to people with manners that are at the very least socially acceptable.

Today is the 24th of June 2022. Today, I had called ( 11.35am) to find out how I could book an appointment; a follow up from a blood test. That receptionist is extremely rude. My english is not so good, so I asked one or two times "sorry?" to which she responded very rudely almost shouting at me merely repeating the same question without explaining the question. One of the doctors that I spoke with, understood my ethnic background and spoke and explained in so many ways but this receptionist does not have any manners and is not human. I think she has been working there for some time and needs to find a different job where she is not dealing with human beings. And also, I do not understand this system where untrained, non-doctors, administrators are asking about health conditions; it really produces so much misunderstanding and slows things down so much. NHS, in this practice is not the problem; it is the system.

An absolute rubbish service provided by receptionist. After hours of waiting I was told to call again at 14:00 to discuss my issue which makes no sense to me if Someone has an emergency it’s not fair for any one to be waited for such a long time . Also the attitude of receptionist is extremely rude and pathetic . After digging and series of argument with no luck I filled out form myself as receptionist did her every possible effort not to listen to me and tried to let me down .

Made a call at 9.00. Receptionist: No appointments available this morning. Me: Fair enough. Can I make an appointment for this afternoon, tomorrow or as soon as? Receptionist: No. You have to call back at 2pm. Me: Why? Receptionist: It's the practioce rules. Me: It makes no sense to waste my time and yours, you must have a bookings calendar? Receptiomist: You have to call back that's the rules, I have no opinion and I am just doing my job. Make a complaint if you dont like it. Me: If I could give zero stars for customer service I would.

Some Doctors at the Practice are known to have issued wrong medicines to patients old and young. Shocking, the General Medical Council should be alerted about this. Despite, the Practice Managers knowing of the bad practices ‘of their staff’, they are defending them at the patients expense. This practice has no regard for the GDPR or patients confidentiality, i.e the reception staff ask inappropriate and intrusive questions about our health and other personal matters. Would they like it if they or their loved ones were asked such inappropriate questions?

Called this morning following blood test results, some of which are abnormal, I've checked via the patient intranet. Reception staff advises we're very busy, we can't schedule a call from any Doctor until 6th Jan over a month away. Hospitals are overwhelmed, no wonder when the GP surgery's are operating such poor service levels.

Very poor service. Doctors were rude, receptionists were rude too. The GP had a very good service and now the receptionist are so rude. I had an emergency still told me to wait three weeks to make an appointment.

doctors in this GP are amazing and lovely however I am absolutely appalled at the attitude and behaviour of one receptionist here, particularly Salma. Answered the phone with a normal hello however I didn't reply immediately as I was just checking something off the phone so she raised her voice and goes HELLO? then halfway through the call, when asked if we can have an earlier date she was very passive aggressive and very condescending which I did not appreciate at all as she cut me off and continued speaking saying how the date given is the earliest so I asked to change to an emergency and in the rudest tone goes the DR. is not available today for emergency and kept repeating that, did not even let me ask okay what day can I call again then for an emergency. my mum has ongoing backpain, severe, and all I wanted was an appt. with the DR. to ask for a new medication as I think it will help her because it has helped her when she was in the hospital. Instead, this rude receptionist, I don't know with what authority she thinks she has, decided to constantly question us. Yes, there are some questions you ask but even then ASK NICELY and not in a condescending tone. never had an issue with other receptionists personally, but this one was horrible and tried to defend herself with "so no, I am NOT being rude". everyone has off days but that does not mean you take it out on strangers, do your job nicely or don't do it at all. Have no idea who or how they have been hired.

Arrived on time for my baby daughter’s appointment and they are still forcing people to check in via the intercom for covid reasons. I was told to take a seat but the man working the front desk didn’t check us in so we sat for over almost an hour with the nurse unaware we were there. Then after I asked about it and they realised their error, they still took others before us with the nurse saying she had to take people who were ‘on time’… They made a four month old baby wait over an hour for a 10 minute appointment. Avoid this place if you can.

It was a while ago I was a patient, but some of the staff (receptionist and doctor) working there when I was a patient were rude as hell. I’d waited 3 weeks for my appointment, and I’d received multiple text reminders in the lead up to said appointment. When appt day finally arrived, I tried to check in at reception and the receptionist told me she couldn’t see my appt in the system and that I didn’t have one booked. She went as far as to accuse me of lying about having an appt (🤯) despite me showing her the reminders on my phone. I stood my ground and refused to leave until the doctor saw me, at which point she begrudgingly allowed me the access to the doctor that I’d patiently waited 3 weeks for… The doctor herself displayed pretty much the same level of rudeness and ignorance.

The only GP I know at Limehouse Practice is Dr Khanom and I cannot thank her enough. She is a very attentive listener with great empathy. Her medical knowledge and her presence are reassuring - that she would find the best solution for my case. She has offered me more healing than other doctors whom I've known. The staff at Reception offer a much appreciated friendliness and efficiency.

Went for my first visit today. Whilst my phone call with the practice's receptionist to make an appointment (a month ago) was slightly rude, it should not take away from the total experience I had today, which was great. The receptionist working today was nice and helped me with arranging my next visit, and Doctor Blavo was extremely concise and complete with her explanation of my potential conditions. Overall, my experience at the Limehouse Practice today was far above its 2-star review.

I just had a great experience seeing the duty doctor (Blavo) just now. Great service from reception checking in through to my consultation. I was listened to, treated respectfully and professionally and left the surgery feeling very satisfied with the outcome. I have had to receive help from this surgery a few times now and can't really fault the care I've received. I have used e consult method too. Sometimes there can understandably be a bit of a wait for an appointment, but when I've needed one more urgently I have been able to be seen which is positive. Thank you

The staff attending to the calls utterly rude and unhelpful. Called to check on my test results taken 10 days ago. Have to wait for the GP's call which will happen after another 2 weeks. They do not understand the patients anxiety and stress to know the results and if all is fine.

Receptionists are very dismissive. Will try anything to weasel their way to end a call. You’re better off going to A&E. Poor performance from the doctors too except Dr McNamara who actually seems to care. I’m in the process of switching to another GP.

Hi I called this morning I got through before 9..for a telephone consultation, and then i was so happy to receive a call at 9:49.only to find out it was a clinician, who cannot give meds. My first thoughts were it was for my 5year old so why is a clinician calling when it should be a doctor... Anyway she said the doctor will call me back by 12....and that didn't happen. So I called again after waiting for ages and the receptionist said the doctor will call me between 1-2.. I'm still waiting. Its just ridiculous

I've had a fantastic experience with this surgery so far I've been a registered patient here for a few years now and no complaints at all. Maisie from the admin team is extremely helpful, kind, caring and understanding each and everytime I speak to her which I really appreciate. She always goes out of her way to help me. I Spoke to the manager carly to give positive feedback and she was also very lovely and kind. I also cannot commend Dr Mumford enough! I've never seen him face to face but I'm very comfortable to speak to him about any concerns he is always softly spoken and doesn't rush me at all. He really listens and does his upmost best to resolve my issues/queries.

The 5 stars are for the only 3 Dr's I have had a good experience with. First & foremost everyone in the practice knows Dr Shirke is the absolute best, not a word of wrong about her at all, the most kind, calm & attentive Dr I have ever met. 2nd is Dr Khanom who is equally as attentive & give excellent advise & explores all diagnosis it could be . And the most recent Dr I have met is Dr Sara Mcnamara, who is so attentive & surprised us by giving us help more than we expected which was a a relief as it is saved alot of matters. Apart from these Drs I cannot say anything good about anyone else including the Receptionists who are extremely rude and don't answer the phone.

The treatment I get at this surgery is so bad that I have been forced to take out private medical insurance. Being a 40pc tax payer, it is extremely frustrating that I can’t use the services that I am paying a significant amount towards. I am Constantly reminded that the service (nhs) is under extreme pressure - but so are a lot of other services / organisations / sectors - but unfortunately we don’t have the same landscape to publicise it and give out poor service.

The receptionists are arrogant and revolving! I called my doctor on my mother's behalf at 8:30 a.m. today. At the end of the call, I inquired whether the doctor would call in the morning or afternoon ? she responded to me so rudely! “I DO NOT KNOW “ I asked her, "You have only just begun your day; why are you being so rude and disrespectful first thing in the morning?" She replied I’m not rude BYE . I asked Doc to call your mother! Attitude stinks! 22.11.2023

  • 4/5 Paul L. 4 months ago on Google
Judging by some of the previous reviews I was braced for a totally different experience to what I actually received this afternoon. I was efficiently booked in by reception and the Doctor listened to my issues and dealt with things to my perfect satisfaction. However, a slight mark down due to being seen 30 minutes later than agreed appointment and, whilst these things happen, I can't recall this being acknowledged when I saw the Doctor which I think would have been appropriate (and isn't expensive to implement).
