This hospital should be shut down as most of the staff are rude and they don't really give any care or effort in helping the patients.I was waiting for 5 hours in children's A&E without even being seen by the doctor, then they decided after 5 hours of waiting for me to go home,to see the GP the next day. I was so angry at this as they wasted my time, so I would never go back to this hospital again! I wouldn't recommend going here!

Very bad service. Gave birth there, had severe compilation...nobody said anything, took them days to get my blood transfusion, they were going to give me blood thinner injection 2 times a day, because of misadministration.(should be strictly every 24 hours). The cleaner stole my phone, but my husband went after her. And nobody realised I am in double jumper on a very warm ward, I was sure it was cold, but actually had fever, would be grateful if someone said it to me, not just giving a handful of medicines at midnight.

Staff took very long when dealing with my nan who was at end of life, with giving morphine at wrong doses/intervals. Nil by mouth notice for 3 days when this should of been taken down. Staff take very long with any request for help or cleaning/ forget and need Several reminders. She is now in St christophers hospice which is so much better.

Well, I would say it might be time to reassess Lewisham. Despite previous poor experiences at Lewisham, I came to the Emergency Department (A&E) with a serious condition and was assessed very quickly. I was treated promptly and with care and professionalism. I was eventually admitted and stayed on a ward for the next two weeks while I recovered. During that time I received an excellent standard of care and genuinely felt that my stay was healing and theraputic.

Unprofessional staff at the blood test appointments department. No surprise there given how low the ratings are for this hospital already. I was given two different appointment times, for two different blood test clinics both today and last week on the 22nd of November. Both times were not for my appointment. I showed up today at 2:10 and the staff told me that my appointment was for 1:15 which I was never told over the phone. I ended up wasting 6 hours of my time altogether including travel time on TFL. I had to travel 90 minutes one way and 90 minutes back for two of these blood test appointments. Just disgusting how unprofessional and disorganised that the staff are over the phone. They should allow walk in clinics to be open if they canโ€™t maintain the correct times for appointments. The call centre staff over the phone couldnโ€™t even give me the correct email address for their complaints department, so I had to do a google search! I emailed a complaint and I am still waiting on a response.

Very disappointed with the lack of service and empathy I received, waited for hours with an infection after being told to vist by another nhs department . Told constantly that I was next. Arrived at 4.30pm and left at 8.45 pm without being seen

My son went in to have surgery on his ear and they did the wrong one. That's just the latest bad experience we've had here

Disgraceful service. They failed to show up and left a patient, my relative who had a severe case of Sepsis to struggle in pain. They had been booked by the Paramedics on Friday 14th August and were told to get to the patient within 4 hours? Why so long I donโ€™t get it. They did one better and failed to show up all together so we had to dial 999 and the patient was taken by an ambulance service unaware of what was going on and by the time we got to Lewisham hospital the patient was in bad condition.

Staff are very nice and friendly but I was surprised that some Nurses are having difficulties operating patient equipment confidently (drip). It also seems that not a lot of staff are on duty.

We recently went to the Yellow zone for a few appointments and treatments. Attitude of the receptionists we have encountered (especially the lady who sits behind the large window opposite the two lifts on the first floor) are generally unbelievably rude and irresponsible. The lady who works opposite the lifts would purposely make us wait before she lets us speak to her every time, and would complain repeatedly that we do not speak loud enough when actually we are already speaking louder than we normally would and other people standing further away hear us without issues. The unwelcoming behaviour is explicit and it is seemingly with an intention to make us feel bad, as we have seen how friendly and bubbly she can be with some other visitors. This is extremely unnecessary and unprofessional in a hospital setting.

๐Ÿ˜  The worst experience ever. You can say the health system is broken when you come to Whipps Cross A&E. People have no choice but to wait for 8 to 10 hours from one desk to another to see a doctor. And by the time you reach to a doctor you are half dead tiered and shattered. Unbelievable that the heal...
