    - breakfast is 8-10 and it’s just cheap lunch meat and cheese and some fruit, 10£ is better spent at the Tesco next door, they only offer instant coffee too - no privacy in beds, no curtains, rooms stay freezing - showers are disgusting, toilets get cleaned, but the whole experience feels like a porta-potty - downstairs pub turns into a big party all night. It’s so loud that you cannot hear yourself think. I’m talking like people screaming in your ear. And the staff did not warn me or offer earplugs. - they made me wait till 15:00 to check in after getting here at a reasonable 14:00. - have to pay for 5£ towel and 4£ padlock - you have to wade through a massive crowd of sloppy drunk people to get to the hostel entrance which is at the back of the pub - you have to use your phone to enter the hostel and your room, and reception closes at 2AM. So good luck to you if you run out of data or your phone dies

tiny rooms (8 people in a very small space), uncomfortable and too short beds, clogged toilets and claustrophobic showers, very modest intercontinental breakfast (if you book the bed through their official website you will get it for free) so if you have to pay it's better to go to Tesco, which is right next door... promotions in the bar mentioned at check in in practice does not exist (2 for 1 cocktail or 1 shot 1 pound), check out at 10 a.m. and check in at 3 p.m. which is ridiculous because they had a lot of free beds at 2 p.m. once we got there and had to wait an hour in the bar... it was very noisy, so when you want to sleep, you only need earplugs that you get free at check in..... the one and only pros of this place was good location because it was close to The Shard and The Sky Garden...

I stayed in this hostel in December of 21’ I came back this month. I checked into a hostel out side of London and it was a no go. So I rebook this place. I go there the night before and have some drinks. I go back next day to check in and am told I can’t check in and I’m banned from staying there. Wild…. I was never told why. I was given an email. They also charged my card $100 and didn’t give me a refund. I’ve emailed them, haven’t heard d back yet. I’m disappointed about all this.

Worst food I’ve eaten in a long while. Starters are all frozen food. Think cheap Iceland freezer food. The roast was INCREDIBLY salty. Too much to eat. Service was slow despite not being busy and didn’t make us feel very comfortable when we tried to address the issues with the food. Was given 25% of the bill which is an okay gesture however none of us could finish our food so still feel a little disheartened. To top it off, the bill was incorrect as they had accidentally tried to charge us for extra food that we didn’t have

The most I have ever paid to stay in a hostel and probably in my bottom 5 hostels. Needed a space for an early morning Skype call and there was absolutely nowhere suitable. There are no common areas or seating areas in this hostel. You get your bed, bathroom, no towel (even when paying over £50 per night) and that is it. Very different to other hostels I've stayed in. Helpful service when I arrived late.

If you can, don't stay in this hostel. It's extremely noisy and disrespectful to guests who want a night's rest after travelling. There's a pub below the rooms , loud music plays until dawn , the rooms have no soundproofing. It's impossible to sleep . The room was dirty and smelly. The only positive thing is the location.

I wish I could leave a separate review for the hostel and the pub because talk about a night and day experience! The good: the staff are incredibly sweet, albeit slow, likely due to the amount of patrons they have to attend to as well as training new staff at the same time so fair-play to the experienced staff for handling this. The pub is a really great place to meet new folks if you’re traveling through and they give good advice on areas to check out while staying in London. Drinks are well priced and the food is tasty. As a stand-alone bar, it’s a 9/10 experience. The bad: I’ve been to 34 countries and stayed in hostels/hotels/airbnbs all over the world. this is undoubtedly the worst hostel stay I have ever been to. There is no possible justification to pay 30 quid for that when I could pay 5 less quid and have a completely different hostel experience. The Inn does not have community events for hostel guests so there was no way to meet likeminded travelers while visiting the city. The rooms have no circulation and we are packed in like a can of sardines. Imagine 8 guys on a high protein diet packed in a room roughly the same size as a medium sized flat bathroom. The storage for baggage is also not secure, anyone could easily access valuables in your case while you are away. It was impossible to sleep as the pub downstairs was playing live music. It was so uncomfortable that I couldn’t even stay my nights there. I had to get an entirely new hotel for the duration. As a standalone hostel 1/10. If you’re truly desperate this is doable but if you even have a slightly higher budget, I’d look elsewhere for accommodations. All together it’s a 5/10.

The pub and surroundings are great but it’s not a good hostel to stay at, it’s very noisy, poorly maintained, still clean but cold and old. Impossible to sleep, so if you are going to party with friends and just need a place to crash for a few hours its fine. That’s about it

Been waiting at an empty bar for now 10mins for a drink and the bartender has clearly seen me waiting and is clearly ignoring that fact that I’m here! Terrible service ! Talking to her colleague in her language behind the bar still not acknowledging that I’m here Would not recommend

One of the lower end hostels I've stayed at. The staff is super nice, the location is amazing. That's pretty much the best thing I can say about this place. To start, the rooms are quite small, and get very hot. The cleaning staff is very nice and I definitely think they do their best to maintain the place but the people who come through here are just disgusting. Floor is constantly wet from people having showers, toilets clogged or just gross. The shower is incredibly small. Like, seriously. If you're on the bigger side I couldn't imagine you would be able to fit, let alone move around. Shower has a bit of mold and constantly has hair clogging the drain even with a mat on top of it. I walked into one of the bathrooms once and there was a wad of toilet paper with fresh blood sitting on the ledge of the wall in one of the bathrooms. The storage lockers in the room are made of metal. They make so much noise and they're quite hard to maneuver based on the bed you get. Make sure you have room in your bags for your belongings because depending on the size someone could just pull it through the cage. The beds are hard and they only provide one, incredibly small and limp pillow. Don't worry though, you wont manage to get any sleep here, especially on the weekend because it is SO LOUD. Live music on weekends from 10-2 (22-2:00) that even with a very good pair of ear plugs you hear everything. The people downstairs are so rambunctious and constantly smash glasses and scream. I was only here for two days so not sure about during the week, but I could barely survive that. You need to have a functional phone on you because they use an app to unlock the door to the stairwell and then to the rooms. If your phone is dead pray that one of your roommates is awake and will hear you knock on the door. The breakfast included at breakfast is just …. so poor... don't buy it. There's a pret a manger close buy and English breakfast is incredible. Don't miss out. All in all, if you're not planning on getting a good night's sleep or care too much about hygiene, I would recommend this place. Otherwise, stay away.

Great pub. Awesome people. I recommend this a place to visit for those who like to go to bars and enjoy meeting people there. The hospitality was phenomenal also.

Room and beds are nice, staff is friendly. They should have warned us about the loud people and the live music from 11pm onwards every night. As I’m writing this review I can hear people screaming and laughing down in the pub as if they were inside our room. Plugs make no difference. Disappointed they didn’t warn us. We would have chosen something different.

Been here two previous nights and enjoyed it. Came again but I was ignored on multiple occasions as I was trying to ask for service. Waiters can't manage when it's busy.

Booked a bed in this hostel a couple of nights ago (had paid for the bed a week earlier). I was already in the area in the morning so went in to ask if I could check in before 11am (as I would not be back before the reception desk closes at 2am). The person at the reception area told me this was fine, she'd add a note to my booking and I would have the key on the app that I already had when I arrived. On my way to the hostel at ~3am, I realised there was no key on my phone and I would have no access to the room. I went to the hostel anyway in the hope someone would be there (because otherwise I would have been stuck on the streets anyway...). Fortunately, there were staff in the reception area so I was able to walk in. I explained I had booked a room but the key had shown up. The staff then asked me to "stand outside" whilst he goes to check something, along with 4 other people who were in the reception/pub area who I presume were staff (but presumably asked to stand outside because they shouldn't have been there due to licensing? I don't know but I find out weird I was not able to just wait in reception, given people were there. Anyway eventually the staff comes back and explains to me why I was wrong to ask for a favour (you can't check in after 2am), which again I explain I spoke to a member of staff in the morning who had kindly (but wrongly clearly) explained she would check me in. Upon being told "well it's your word against hers" I also explained that the staff member told me she would add a "note to my booking", so assuming she had done that he would have been able to verify what I was saying. At this point I'm then told well we do have a bed for you ('lucky we didn't sell the bed to someone else') but if you need to ask for a favour from us you need to speak to a manager. Apparently asking to sleep in a bed that you've paid for is a "favour" and apparently if you stay here you need to be aware of member of staff's seniority before you ask them questions. All in all, quite bizarre. (and yes I was lucky in the sense that I was pretty sure that due to their handling of this situation that I was going to have to sleep outside/stay outside all night).

Awful experience. Bouncers were incredibly rude to myself and a group of friends. Would not let us enter the establishment and when we asked for a reason why we could not enter they were not able to give us one but told us to leave. Plenty more preferable options nearby and would NOT recommend.

Rooms small and cramped, unbelievably noisy. Even with ear plugs I wasn't able to sleep until 2. Light weight curtains let in plenty of light from the street outside and thin windows let in plenty of noise. Staff were really friendly and helpful :)

Good located, we asked for an only female room and it was amazing. Clean, respectful, party at night, joyful. We’ll come back for sure 👌🏽

Such a terrible idea to have the hostel rooms right above the live music that went on until 2am! I didn’t sleep at all even with ear plugs. Definitely stay away if you actually want a nights sleep.

The hostel is in a good area, and it felt very safe. However, it was incredibly dirty. The blankets were disgusting and all of the bathrooms on the floor were clogged for DAYS. In order to use the bathroom at all you had to go to another floor, even then it was dirty.

Excellent hostel with very clean rooms and bathrooms! The service was excellent and the location was fantastic. You can walk to the London bridge and even some of the popular attractions if you have the energy. We didn’t get a chance to participate but the hostels also host events for its guests every day with different themes. Highly recommend!

The drinks are decent but the happy hour is my favourite in all of london. The service is good. The food is also decent.

Location is d best. Directly opposite borough market. Walking distance to tower bridge, millennium bridge,st Paul's,sky garden, the sharg. Yes it's a pub that gets noisy at night every nights. But they did all they could by providing airplug as well. All staffs are very helpful and friendly. The bed is surprisingly comfortable. Quite spacious. There are plug every beds and many bathroom and toilets at every floors. I'd properly be back again the next time I'm here. Overtime luggage storage service is provided at 3 pounds

I’ve had a great time staying in the pod room of this hostel. Whenever I’ve sat to eat in the table in the room, I’ve met really cool people whom I ended up hanging out with around London. For those experiences I have really happy memories of this hostel. But it was a bit annoying that the accessible toilet was often dirty, and at one point there was no toilet paper in any of the toilets. I told the front desk and they took care of it pretty quickly, though. There’s a chill out room with laundry machines (two dryers and two washers), which aren’t really advertised, so take advantage of that. Keep in mind you will be hearing booming music from the bar, at least from the first floor, which isn’t a problem for me personally but might bother lighter sleepers. The hostel isn’t cheap, but the location is really great, right across Borough market. It’s on a really busy street, which can get annoying but will definitely give you the big city experience.

Place is always packed, live music is second to none, old fellas drinking 'Neck Oil' so watch out for stinky burps (erk), no matter what time you arrive, you'll stay till they kick you out at 2am ... always a chuckle ... just watch out for the "Butler" trying to trap you in his "Circle of Trust"

Best place to stay in London! Simply can't say enough good things about this hostel! The staff are friendly, kind and very accommodating. The rooms are clean and there's free lockers under every bed (bring your own lock). There's lots of bathrooms, also very clean. Best of all, there's an awesome pub just downstairs that really comes alive at night. It can get a little noisy with the live music at night, but the staff give you a really good quality pair of earplugs upon arrival. Don't let the noise bother you though, go downstairs and join in! The environment is very inviting and you immediately feel at home! This is a great hostel to make new friends and meet people from all around the world. Thank you all so much for such a great stay, will definitely be returning!
