A
cosy
Vegan
restaurant
that's
tucked
away
from
the
otherwise
bustling
area
around
the
Earl's
Court
Underground
station.
We
dropped
in
for
our
anniversary
dinner
date
and
I'd
requested
the
restaurant
to
give
us
a
good
table.
The
restaurant's
ambience
is
lovely
but
the
tables
are
quite
closely
spaced
and
unless
you're
in
a
corner,
it
doesn't
feel
like
you've
got
your
private
space.
We
were
initially
seated
in
the
middle,
but
on
our
request,
the
restaurant
accommodated
us
at
a
better
table.
I
had
a
sweet
but
flavourful
Butterfly
Pea
Flower
Iced
Tea
to
sip
on
while
we
dined.
We
started
off
with
their
Satay
Hed
&
Tao
Hoo,
which
was
a
mix
of
Shitake
mushrooms
and
Tofu,
both
skewered
and
marinated
in
Satay
sauce.
This
was
very
sleekly
presented
and
served
a
great
appetizer
to
our
main
course
comprising
the
Khao-suey
and
the
Massaman
curry.
The
Khao-suey
is
a
Northern
Thai
delicacy.
The
broth
was
very
rich
and
tasty,
but
scanty.
However,
the
team
readily
provided
us
with
an
extra
cup
of
it
on
request.
The
Massaman
curry
was
made
with
chickpeas
and
tasted
delightfully
creamy.
It
was
just
about
sufficient
for
2
portions
of
Jasmine
rice.
As
Vegetarians
who
turned
vegan,
we
wished
there
were
more
dishes
on
the
menu
that
were
veggie-based
and
not
'mockmeat'-based.
For
those
that
are
mock-meat
based,
the
restaurant
could
offer
a
tofu
option
instead.
That
said,
we
enjoyed
the
food
thoroughly,
and
would
love
to
come
back
with
friends.
