The 2 stars are for the food. We really enjoyed the prawns, wings, and jammy Dodger cheesecake but the service in the restaurant in Soho was some next level appalling - enough to stop us from returning. We arrived for our booking which was at 8pm and weren't seated until 8.10pm, bearing in mind we got to the restaurant at 7.50pm. When our order was taken, there was no ackee which was a little annoying, as it meant I couldn't order the dish I had wanted. First drinks orders were extremely slow. The prawns were advertised to come with 2 dips. When they came out, there were no dips. We asked the waitress for a ketchup and a mayo, and she tried to charge us. We had to point out from the menu that 2 dips were included with the dish. We were actually still charged for them on the final bill at the end and not refunded. Once plates were cleared the waitress said she would bring a dessert menu. This took a significant amount of time, then when we tried to order desserts another waitress told us that the kitchen was closed, despite trying to call them over numerous times. Another waitress came and rectified this and let us order, but there was still plenty of food coming up to different tables after this so the kitchen was clearly not closed. The pineapple whip on the dessert menu is actually a drink and not a dessert but it doesn't state this on the menu. I was expecting more of a sundae - this shouldn't be on the dessert menu as it is a cocktail. We also ordered the chocolate orange espresso martinis which tasted nothing like chocolate orange and were actually a bit rank. One waitress was seen wiping down one of the tables and just brushing the food off on to the floor and seats. Everything was slow, and we were overcharged at the end. Overall, not a good experience and the food isn't enough to make me want to go back 😔

I had heard about Jam Delish and knew I had to try it out. Unfortunately when we arrived it was fully booked but as God (luck) would have it there were people I knew who were dining and members of their party had cancelled so we got a seat at the table. There was a variety of choice and I had difficulty making up my mind. The server helped me with my choice of Curry Goat. I also had to have Mac and Cheese. My companion had Oxtail. It was definitely worth the hype. The atmosphere and vibe was warm and welcoming and the music was loud enough to hear and quiet enough so as not to interfere with conversation. I ordered ginger beer to wash it down and was a little disappointed that it was from a tin but it didn't spoil my experience. The table next to me had chicken and chicken wings and I have to admit I was a little tempted to ask them for a taste LOL! Looks like I'll have to go back to taste more of the Delish menu. If you have never thought of eating Caribbean Vegan this is definitely the place to whet your appetite. You won't be disappointed.

Great atmosphere, small but discreet - with great ambience. The staff were busy, but really friendly. A couple of issues with orders, but were easily fixed with little to zero fuss. Overall a great experience with food with great flavour. The only issue I had, where was the spice? For West Indian food, I would have expected a kick. So it will cater to those who can't handle spicy food.

This was the best vegan fried chicken I ever had! The batter was crispy and the "chicken" quite tender, but it still had a pleasant bite to it. The "fish" tacos had a great combination of different flavours and textures. The fish flavor itself wasn't that strong, but the dish was still really enjoyable. All in all, we were really happy with our food :)

Went here for a pre-birthday treat and have been meaning to go for a long time. The place and atmosphere are amazing with open walls and nice decor. I had the lychee cocktail that was super yummy, starters were okay but nothing exceptional. I went for the olives, festival bites and pork belly tacos. I was a bit worried but the mains are a different storey. These were super tasty and well balanced, I had the chicken + gravy, goat curry and chicken skewers with mango salad on the side including the bacon Mac and cheese. Staff were attentive and welcoming, I didn't have a reservation but arrived at 5pm and they were able to seat me with a limited time table. I would strongly suggest you make a reservation if eating around dinner time. It's a lovely place to visit especially over the warm summer periods and I will be back for more mains and hopefully have space to try the deserts. Facilities are gender neutral and generally in good condition.

Went here because of a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The food was so delicious and also the meat eater of the group didn’t miss anything. We ordered a couple of small dishes and the curry goat to share and it was delicious! The service was so helpful and friendly. It was our first experience with this cuisine and it will not be our last!

The food is amazing here and the service is super friendly (Alex). I highly recommend the “goat” curry and the buttermilk fried oyster mushrooms. I will definitely return. We came back a second time and tried the “pork belly” tacos, pepper “prawns” and fried “chicken” and gravy. All three dishes were amazing!!!

Got food from them at the Portobello Vegan Night Market. I had high expectations for them given the five star reviews. Did not disappoint at all! Absolutely amazing!!! And the people are so so nice and friendly! Everything was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. I was surprised by how good the curry chicken was. The chicken pieces were like real chicken - soft and succulent. The rice and peas were really fragrant. I didn’t realize rice and peas could be that good. The chicken wings were super realistic (wish they could’ve been a bigger portion though!!!) with just the right amount of BBQ sauce on them. The bacon mac was so creamy with a lovely crunchy topping. Definitely some of the best best best food I have ever had!

Great value vegan Caribbean restaurant. Delightful food, great flavours, some it tasting like authentic meat dishes. The ‘goat curry’ was wonderful. Great dinner even if you are not vegan. Excellent service too. Would go back.

I am a vegan and I throughly enjoyed this fabulous vegan Jamaican restaurant. The food is tasty the staff are friendly and the decor in the restaurant is lovely to look at. I highly recommend that you dine here. I had the vegan curry goat, it was a little salty but soooo tasty. My friend had the vegan oxtail which was also delicious. I had the mango and coconut tart. Tasty but would be better served warm. …. Overall it’s a delicious dining experience, tell all your friends to go to Jam Delish

Oh. My. Lord. The food from this place is simply transcendent. Everything we had was bursting with flavor, so unique, absolutely delicious and honestly one the best meal I’ve had in awhile - which is saying something because I eat dank vegan food all the time. The best part is that everything was packed with protein and seemed really healthy so we felt great after! Also the space had great ambience and the staff were so nice. I would give this a 6/5 stars if I could. This is an incredible restaurant and I’m so happy they are showing that a traditionally meat heavy cuisine can not only be done vegan but can be better than anything else out there - vegan or otherwise!

Came for the new autumn/winter menu. All the dishes we tried were delicious! Full of flavour & really good portion sizes. My favourite was the fried chickn’ & mash! Will definitely return to try the other items on the menu!

Ambience is super cute and cozy but hidden from the outside. Now the FOOD!!! The meats dishes are absolutely delicious and I am amazed at how they managed the perfect texture and flavor. I’m vegan so i’ve had a lot of imitation meats, this is by far the best yet. Ginger cake for dessert was also a must and their drinks are also delicious. Definitely coming back again!

Absolutely loved every one of the dishes we had here this evening. The food both looked and tasted amazing. Between two of us we shared the jerk 'pork' belly tacos, the 'saltfish' tostones, the jerk 'chicken' skewers and the 'bacon' mac n cheese. Deliciously spiced, fresh and zingy flavours. Nice service and cool vibe.

My partner took me here for my birthday last night . The food was absolutely unreal ! For nibbles we had the roti . The plantain humous was 10/10 and the roti the best I’ve ever had . For some constructive criticism I’d say it would be better to have more humous and less butter, as although they were delicious the butters were very rich . We then had the stuffed brown stew fried dumpling … this was soft , delicious .. chefs kiss amazing, we were both blown away . We shared the chicken skewers … OMG … so good ! The saffron rice that came with this is the best rice I’ve ever eaten honestly and the “chicken “the flavours were on point ! So much so my partner ordered another to take home . We also shared the fried chicken with garlic mash and Jamaican gravy .. I could have eaten a whole bowl of that creamy mash, charred cabbage and spicy flavoursome gravy , the fried “chicken” pieces were perfect too ! The cocktails were exceptional! I cannot fault a thing ! This place is cool ,original , with inventive and beautiful food . Can’t wait to go back. You guys are smashing it .. well done 👏🏽

The food was amazing! I'm not a vegan, I just enjoy eating amazing food, and this sums up Jam Delish. Who can dislike vegan Caribbean delights. Took quite a long time to get a drink initially, even with us turning up early, but we were greatful to be out of the pouring rain. Starters and main courses were banging, full of flavour, and the cocktails were fantastic (so I'm told 😉). Personally wanted a better choice of beers alongside the classic Red Stripe, but that's just me. The manager had a great chat with us as we were leaving and showed real passion in what they are doing and achieving here 👍🏻. I've already recommended to numerous people, and will defo come back if I'm in the area, as from Essex.

A recent addition to the London Vegan Scene is Jam Delish, the modern Caribbean fully vegan restaurant in Angel. I’ve been really wanting to go since it opened, and finally did so last week! The vibes of the restaurant are immaculate, from the decor to the menu. From the moment you walk in it all feels very distinguished and well thought through, and the staff was always so friendly and helpful. Their cocktails and smoothies are a great way to start the meal, and their list is long enough to make it hard to choose, but not too long that it’s overwhelming. I had the Jus Jammin, which is a Hennessy based cocktail with cinnamon, apple, and vanilla. I love Hennessy, so I might be biased, but it was one of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while! We chose to have a few of the small plates and they were the star of the show. They are really unique and unlike anything you'll find anywhere else. I could easily order all of them and make that my meal. Everything we had was incredible and I'd recommend everything we had, but I'd particularly highlight the Deep Fried Buttermilk Oyster Mushrooms that I could easily eat every week, which were covered in spicy plantain ketchup that I absolutely need a bottle of to put on everything I eat. The mains are much closer to traditional Caribbean dishes so if that's what you're going for I'd absolutely recommend them. We tried the Curry "Goat" with rice and peas and it's everything you want a Caribbean curry to be, basically the food equivalent of a hug. We also tried the "Chicken" Skewers and they were delicious, with a really tasty char to them. The price is definitely a bit steep, but the quality and attention to detail I think justify it. I strongly recommend giving it a try. They will be refreshing their menu soon for Autumn/Winter, and I'm really excited to go try their soon to be added new dishes! 🏅 Overall: 9/10 🌱 Fully Vegan What we had: 🍌 BBQ Jerk Plantain 🌮 “Saltfish” Tostones ⭐️ 🌮 Jerk “Pork” Belly Tacos ⭐️ 🥗 Buttermilk Oyster Mushrooms and Tropical Salad 🌟 🍢 Jerk “Chicken” Skewers ⭐️ 🍛 Curry “Goat” Cocktails: 🥃 Jus Jammin 🌟 🍹 Passionate Rum Punch Follow @londonisvegan on Instagram for more vegan recipes and restaurant review

Really nice place and accommodating staff. Such great options that I'd not come across as vegan options before. They also had 2 0% wines and a beer to select from as well as alcoholic drinks and soft drinks. My 'fish' had a really believable texture and taste and the chicken was the same. It is pricy overall but worth it given how rare it is to find these dishes and how tasty they were. Definitely planning on going back

Beautiful restaurant. Food was beautifully presented and tastes amazing. The stonefish and curried goat were a favourite, though we tried a lot and everything was good. The service was a little slow and forgetful, but our waiter was very helpful and patient with helping us choose what to eat and had great knowledge of the menu. The drinks and desserts were also really good which is where I find a lot of other places fall short. My family had a great time and I can't wait to go back again!

We had the best Sunday Lunch experience! Delicious Caribbean food that made us forget at times we were actually eating vegan food. Authentic flavours and outstanding service. Will definitely be back to try more. Favourite dishes: the mango salad, fried chicken and gravy, oyster mushroom dumpling (I could have had 3 of those, so good). Cocktails amazing too: The Rum Punch was the best!

Incredible food and service! A 100% vegan modern Carribean restaurant. Came here for a family birthday and we chose a range of dishes and had to try a bite of everyone's choices. Everything tatsed amazing, from the chckn skewers, roast aubergine, callaloo tofish, creamy Mac N cheese, festivals. For dessert we chose 3 and shared, the chilli chocolate brownie, cheesecake, and banana ginger Biscoff square with plantain. The brownie was my favourite, perfect rich and chocolatey texture/taste! Service by Mo was enthusiastic, very helpful and attentive... It looked like they were the only staff waiting so they could have done with more help!

Caribbean and vegan, what more could you want from food and Jam Delish doesn't disappoint. Everything on the menu is excellent so the only problem is trying to eat as much of it as you can. Service here is excellent, and the decor is bright, colourful, and cheery. I personally can't get enough of the fried chicken. The festivals are a great burst of flavour to start, sweet and with the kick of the delicious scotch bonnet hot sauce its a combo not to be missed. Jam Delish is always a great choice

I love Jam Delish I first discovered them at Portobello Vegan Nights in 2021, and frequently now visit the Islington branch. With non-vegans too who absolutely love it. The service has always been fabulous, atmosphere great and food delicious. These three areas have always been consistent throughout my visit…just want more Jam Delish’s to pop up in the UK. I LOVE the Roti, that is always on order regardless of any other dish!! One of my favourite vegan spots!!

The restaurant was fully booked on a friday, but they were kind enough to seat me at 5. Worth the hype, worth the travel! Lovely staff too. Textures of the meat were great. Usually I’m not a fan of vegan fish but the tacos were good and had a lil heat to them. Main portions are big too, but you can always take a doggy bag home. Thanks guys 🤗

Very good experience at this vegan restaurant, we had booked a table in advance so no issues with being greeted and seated. However we did have to wait a while to order our drinks/starters. Eventually the order was taken, and the starters we had were really delicious. We had ordered a few dishes including the jerk/bbq Chicken wings and the tacos. For the mains we went for the goat curry and mac cheese. The curry was enough for one person but if you have filled your belly with starters then one is enough to share between 2. The menu has enough to cater for all. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend it.

One of the best vegan restaurant I have ever tried. I truly enjoy the menu and I was impressed by the different flavors, the harmony of the different textures, colors and ingredients. My favorite the "fish tacos"! Location is great, loved the environment and style of the restaurant. Drinks are really good too, truly enjoyed the "It's a secret" cocktail. Host and the atmosphere were great!

Last night my family and I had such a lovely evening. We had walked in without a booking but managed to get squeezed in for a quick meal. My son has never tried Vegan food and he absolutely loved it. The flavours, portions and drinks were lovely. We ordered an array of dishes so we could try them all and we’ll be going back again to try even more ☺️ The staff were lovely too. I can’t wait to go back… and will definitely book this time, as it does get fully booked.

The decor is absolutely beautiful on entry. We were greeted straight away and shown to our seats. The vegan menu had so many options. We had the Jerk chicken and the oxtail. Both were full of flavours, we especially loved the sugar cane that mimicked bone. The staff were friendly, and even though the restaurant was packed and really busy they did their best to make everybody feel at home. I’d highly recommend this place.

The seitan chick'n is to die for. They do it on a piece of marinated sugar cane, so it's like off the bone but you can eat the whole thing and it's juicy, spicy, sweet and gorgeous. One of the best things I've ever eaten.

Was lucky enough to snag a walk-in spot while here with a friend. Food was amazing, every single dish was good. We had the curry goat and the codfish akhee. The person who really made the difference to our night was Leslie, who gave stellar recommendations and taught us a lot about Caribbean history - probably the most I've learnt in any day this year. Will definitely be coming back again, thanks for an amazing time!

I had been eagerly anticipating my visit to Jam Delish at Sun and 13 Cantons for quite some time, and it did not disappoint! Delicious, flavoursome, vegan Carribbean cuisine that I am already looking forward to having again. My party had the curry goat, ackee and 'codfish', wings, plantain, mac and cheese, prawns and loaded fries and couldn't fault a single dish. Thank you, Jam Delish, for kick-starting our long Bank Holiday weekend in the tastiest way! You make being vegan in 2022 an absolute dream.

My sister and I came down to Jam Delish a few days ago to try some food and let me tell you, it was the most delicious vegan Caribbean food we had ever tasted! Everything we tried was so flavoursome and hearty, but the ackee and "codfish" really stood out for me. I was shocked how fish like it really tasted! The wings and crispy prawns and "bacon" mac n' cheese were also winners, but overall I enjoyed every dish and will happily return soon to try some more delicious food! To top it off, the service was incredible. A really lovely team that make you feel very welcome :)

There is so much love, joy and care that goes into this food and it shows! Jam Delish have the best vegan Caribbean food I have ever had. The absolute standout being the 'Chicken Wings' on the bone, so full of flavour and the most chicken-y texture- absolutely delicious! I would 1000% recommend to anyone who wants hearty, feel-good, flavoursome food.

Visited Jam Delish today from Surrey and it was worth the journey. We wanted everything off the menu as there was a vast choice. We ordered currylious goat and chicken, both came with rice and peas and we had half slaw and half salad. We also had bbq chicken wings and jerk wings, a side order of plantain, festival and bacon mac and cheese. The portion sizes are huge with plenty left over for tomorrow. Both the currys were seasoned well and tasted devine, we thought we was eating meat. The bbq wings were so sweet and I love the sugar cane bone. The jerk wings were hot and spicy and very nice. This place is amazing and we will definitely be back. Thank you Jordan for being so welcoming! See you soon Jam Delish..

This is the best vegan Caribbean I've ever had. You *have* to try the curry goat it's insane, so comforting with a perfect peppery warmth 😛 goes amazing with the rice and peas and plantain.

This evening I fancied some Caribbean food and I ordered the curry goat , rice and cole slaw with a portion of plantain and prawn. Regret is a huge understatement. The curry goat got 2 small pieces with loads of potato and gravy. Sadly my lunch time meal at Dellys in Camberwell for £5 has more meat and taste. The plantain is not the amount advertise as it is 6 slices for £3.50. The Prawn is not as advertised please removed from your menu as not great for human consumption as itvis very hard and tasteless. The only reasonable portion was the coleslaw. I shall not be reordering .

I really wanted to like this place but it’s inauthentic. I make vegan Caribbean food being Caribbean and adapting authentic recipes without meat and this is not it, BUT I give 3 stars because the staff are lovely and friendly. I understand the location is Soho and maybe Caribbean customers isn’t the main market so it will work for other ethnicities. The wings are very smart though with good flavour and so want to say well done to the team for that. I also feel scammed with the amount of ‘meat’ as there’s an option with just veg and I feel like I got just veg but a couple pieces of meat accidentally fell in. I would change the Mac and cheese recipe to make it more homely southern style. The one here really isn’t Caribbean, use basic breadcrumb without the added herbs and use curry powder for the curry chicken (cooks is a good brand to make it more Trini style). Won’t return personally but as I said I don’t think I’m the market.

Had an incredible dinner, first time trying Caribbean food! We ordered Curry Goat, prawns, mac & cheese, & mixed wings meal (Appleton Rum, Jerk, BBQ) which came with slaw and rice with beans. Everything was good but the slaw, mac & cheese and Jerk chicken wings were absolutely amazing. Very nice vibe in the building as well. Would recommend!

Best vegan carribean cuisine I've tried so far. The creativity and flavour are unmatched. The restaurant is very small and so you have to book in advance. I turned up on the day without a booking and the staff were accommodating, but be sure to book. The restaurant is located inside "The Sun" pub so can be quite tricky to locate. Overall I would definitely recommend the loaded curry "goat" fries. Its packed with flavour that is so close to the real thing. The slaw was refreshing and the Rice&Peas was light. The Jerk "chicken" was disappointing when it comes to flavour but great in terms of creativity. (Definitely worth a try for the experience but not the best) The biscoff cheesecake was amazing. This place is great and the whole menu is VEGAN!!!! The only thing that requires improvement is the service.

I'm so glad I got to visit Jam Delish before their residency ends in Soho, my only question is where can we find you next? The food here is insane. The ackee and codfish was hard to believe it wasn't fish, deffinatly the best vegan version I have had. The chicken on sugar cane looking like drum sticks is such a cute touch, the curried Goat was delicious, prawns, rice and peas, slaw. Everything 10/10. I can see some reviews complaining about service but I disagree. Yes the restaurant was busy and yes there was a wait time (but its a pub we had a drink, no biggie) the communication was excellent and the service was so personal and friendly. Where ever you pop up next festival, market, a new restaurant home, I don't think I will alone in following you. Thank you for a great meal!

The most amazing vegan Caribbean meal. The vegan fish was the best I’ve ever had, I struggled to believe that it wasn’t actually real. The whole meal was super tasty, great textures, so fresh and the perfect amount of kick. My friend and I shared five dishes and we have already said we would go back and try everything else on the menu.
