Bellissimo! So glad I stumbled into this gem of a cafe. Delicious tiramisu and superb coffee. Highly recommend that you try their cookies as well!

Route is a small cafe situated along The Strand in London. It is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. I recently visited the cafe for a takeaway breakfast. I ordered the toasted cheese and ham croissant, and it was very nice. The croissant was perfectly flaky, and the cheese and ham were perfectly cooked. The whole thing was just so satisfying and just what I needed to start the day off. In addition to the food, the service was also good. My order was ready quickly, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, I liked Route. The food was nice, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was great. I would definitely recommend Route to anyone looking for a quick breakfast or lunch in the area.

I can’t recommend this place enough! I’ve discovered it when me and team started transitioning back to the office this June. Since then, going there for my morning and after-lunch coffee, it’s been a self-care, heart-warming ritual. Any time I pop by, I always enjoy the welcoming atmosphere (Fabio and the newest member of the team, Silvia are great!) not to mention all pastries, biscuits and range of hot drinks. My go-to is a single-shot macchiato but recently they’ve introduced whipped cream and I’ve decided I’d swap the afternoon espresso with that scrumptious treat. Attaching a picture, highly recommend!

On my last two visits, there has been bone in my Chicken Salsa Verde Wrap & burnt coffee beans in my Oat Milk Latte which obviously makes it quite bitter. I gave them the benefit of doubt upon the first bad experience to only be let down again….

Amazing coffee! They made a 3 shot black Americano for my flask and it tasted fantastic, both when it was fresh, and when it was a bit cooler later on - a sign of great quality. Friendly service, too.

I had just visited the ‘Missing Thread’ exhibition at Somerset House and was looking for somewhere to eat. I had a two selection option salad box and a hot chocolate. I was give a glass of water with my food. The food was delicious. I ate inside, which was warm and had Wi-Fi I would highly recommend this establishment.

Excellent. Main and salad and every part was superb. Clearly real care going into the food. No real space inside but huge square with seating when the weather is good Will return. Why go to Leon?

A gem of a place, all the better for facing the part of the Strand which is being pedestrianised and thus traffic and fumes free! Very friendly barista and excellent coffee. Not part of a chain. I was lucky enough to get some house panettone to celebrate my nameday!

As a journalist I travel quite frequently for my job and I can honestly say this little cafe is even better than anything you would ever find in Florence - their coffee is suburb and I thought I had died and gone to heaven eating their pistachio croissant which is baked on site every morning, along with everything else, by the Italian couple that own the cafe. What a rare find just down the road from Somerset House. I can't recommend this place enough.

Such a wonderful time with the friendliest barista. We genuinely felt so welcomed and the energy and tastes brought memories of Italy striaght back to us! Thank you! See you soon, Sarah and Simon.

My favourite Cafe in London! slightly off the main road so a little less busy and a student discount are only cherries on the top in this place. the staff are so friendly and are quick with the drinks which are always delicious. The food (sandwiches, soup, cakes, pastries and more!) is always incredible, I'm a fan of the cherry focaccia but everything I've had has been perfect. they have free wifi, a toilet and seating inside and outside for whatever you're fancying. there's also loyalty cards that fill up quickly! perfect for a quick takeaway and a nice long lunchbreak. Cannot recommend this place enough!!
