This review is only about the swimming pool facilities and so doesn't reflect on other facilities this venue has on offer. That said the swimming pool itself isn't bad. It is reasonably clean although I have seen lumps of hair at the bottom of the pool on more than one occasion. The problem is in the cleanliness of the surrounding areas. Firstly some people leave their belongings next to the pool. Trainers, bags, jackets. In that same area swimmers walk and enter the pool. Parents watching their children on the stands pass through this same area in street footwear. The same parents accompany children to the showering facilities. There are solutions like different entrance and exit for people watching or disposable slip on shoe covers. It seems that there is a lack of money invested. The changing cabinets are filthy. In all my visits I have never seen a cleaner. To sum up a long story short, really poor effort on the swimming pool side of things.

Gym area after refurbishment is quite big. Lots of new equipment, machines, punch bag. 5-6 folding benches 1 flat weight bench, frame, dunbrells up to 100kg. New treadmill machines bikes rowing machines. Can be busy at peak times but 30£ per month is best value for money in e3. Very handy self service machines not need to queue at reception

Staff are amazing and very friendly; however, the state of changing rooms is filthy. I once walked into the changing room to smell and see urine on the floor... on top theres so much dirt as you walk back to changing room from swimming. There private showers are again in a disgusting state. This leisure centre needs an upgrade with cleaning. The toilets always have urine smell and its all in a very bad condition. I really think this leisure centre needs too be looked into and needs to be deep cleaned regularly.

I booked a Sauna session which I was really excited about, however, I was very displeased with the sauna facilities. I am certain that if health and safety inspections were performed this place would fail! Apparently this place doesn’t have inspections. I didn’t know jacuzzi’s were cold? My eyes were irritated as it appears that they have added too much chlorine in the jacuzzi. There are no proper drains or could be that the drains are blocked. The floor around the jacuzzi area was flooded. There is a stench in the steam room, I couldn’t stay in there for long as the smell was overwhelming. Luckily someone had brought their own essential oil and added some drops to the steam room heater, that helped to mask the smell a little. Changing room facilities are filthy! I felt like gagging whilst changing in there. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

I went to use the health suite (sauna, jacuzzi and steam room) but following day I fell really ill. I have a feeling the water in the jacuzzi was contaminated. People were not dressed appropriately, 1 lady’s swimming costume was dangling from her body and not attached to her skin. I don’t know if she was wearing anything underneath. Really really disgusting. It really put me off and I won’t be returning. I’d rather pay more somewhere else where there’s better hygiene

A nice community sports centre. Good amount of equipment, lovely spinning room and pretty friendly staff. Best thing is the community feel and wider cross section of people that you don't get at the other local gyms. Four stars is a shade harsh but it lacks things like free WiFi and could do with more sport clubs and taster sessions for adults. For the price and community aspect it's still better value than the more expensive City of London gyms and probably even the budget ones around the corner.

Just commenting re. The football pitches here. I have noticed a huge drop in standards for this place over the last year or so. The management don't turn on the flood lights promptly meaning you lose game time (this happens every week) The pitches are all strewn with litter and piles of leaves. The nets are torn and the turf damaged in a several places places The pitches are often left open and people without bookings just seem to loiter on them. It's annoying. Big room for improvement, disappointing.

Been swimming here 3 times: 1) disgusting changing rooms that smell of urine and have rubbish everywhere. normally i shower after swimming but i decided to shower at home instead since there was a pack of nappies just outside the shower today, and God knows what horrors awaited me inside the shower cubicle. 2) The water in the pool is always cloudy. Given the state of hygeine in the changing rooms, I dread to think why. 3) The timetable is poorly organised. when I arrived, the lane swimming section was overcrowded with people, so I waited with some other swimmers who could not enter the water because there were too many people. Then I was told to leave after 30 minutes for the men's swimming session- how come I could book a swim session for men when I'm not a man? how come the lane sessions are allowed to be over subscribed? There was no warning about this on the website either. So I paid £6 for a 30 minute swim. 4) facilities in changing room are poor- non refundable 20p charge for lockers, and only 2 private showers in a large unisex changing room. The only positive was that the staff were nice. I will not be returning to this disgusting excuse for a swimming pool. Truly vile. I wish I took photos for this review to show you how gross it is.

lovely pool. Really great staff. However. The lockers do not work properly and I could not get money back. They said the lockers are not theirs and it happens a lot. Really not OK as wasted £1.40 in effort to get them to work. Most people bring belongings into the poolside area.... Odd

Eid mela at mile end.. Souls is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in Chittagong in 1972 In 1972, the band was formed under the name Shurela meaning melodious. In 2000, they released their first acoustic album, Mukhorito Jibon. It compiled some previously released songs, some remakes of old Indian Bengali songs, and some newly released songs. This is also their first unplugged album. In 2003, they released their album Tarar Uthone. In 2004, they released their tenth album To-Let. In 2006, Jhut-Jhamela was released. In 2008, Kingbodonti was released on 25 December and is a musical tribute to Sanjeeb Choudhury by Dalchhut and Souls. It features three songs by Souls, three songs by Dalchhut and one song by Sanjeeb Choudhury, which is the title track. In 2011, their album is Jam was released. In 2017, Souls released their album Bondhu.[3] In 2023 & 2024, Souls celebrated their 50 years by releasing 50 songs and by touring and performing in England (London & Birmingham), Australia (Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth) and their home country Bangladesh (Chittagong, Noakhali). Good experience swimming here today. The changing rooms were clean and the (private) shower was very hot, almost too hot! The pool wasn't busy and I had a lane to myself the whole time. The water temperature was slightly cold when I first got in, but you wouldn't want it much hotter for when you're swimming lengths anyway. I'm not planning on getting a membership, but have downloaded the Better app so that I can hopefully book on there and enter via a code next time, as there was a short queue to pay at the front desk. There was plenty of parking and the Y app was fairly easy to use, although not totally intuitive.

Best track in Tower Hamlets area. Highly recommended to book your attendance on the website before coming to the track. As of September 2023, the price of a session is £4.60.

Great facilities, wide range of services available. Track Manager Ali is very helpful and professional. I highly recommend this venue for sporting activities.

I’ve only used the gym, it is by far the worst gym I’ve ever used. For the following reasons: 1. Many people seem to have very little respect for the gym rules, be prepared for weights left all over the floor, dirty gym equipment and sweaty benches. 2. The staff do not enforce any kind of gym rules, adding to the mess. 3. Broken/unsafe equipment is common, generally fees like an unsafe environment. 4. The free-weights area is tiny.

I've been a member of this facility on & off for over 15 years. The athletics stadium (running track) it's one of a few in London that are easily accessible to all. However, the lack of hygiene is unbelieveable. For over 2 months the ladies toilets at the running track hasn't had any hand soap, a basic requirment right! I've mentioned it countless times to the receptionist, but not even a cheap bottle of hand soap has been put there. This is in addition to the usual leaking & out of order toilets. This all needs to be addressed ASAP

This review is not to reflect all the staff- This is mainly for the horrible service I received yesterday from the receptionist at 7pm. She exhibited a lack of basic professionalism and failed to demonstrate appropriate courtesy towards customers. I’ve witnessed her incredibly disgusting behaviour towards most of the customers waiting in line. Her attitude was notably abrasive- I understand the scanner was not working properly but that does not excuse her horrendous behaviour.

Decent sized for 5aside and 7aside with a lot of free availability. However for the condition of the pitch it is overpriced.

Decent community gym with plenty of facilities to choose from. They have a nice size swimming pool, decent gym and around 10 astro pitches (5 a side and 7 a side). The quality of the astro on the pitches is not great so easily to slip. They also have paid parking available.

I would say it is really to do anything with kids. The gym is not made for people with kids. The information provided by customer services is incorrect and outdated. For a sample there is no facility to leave a kid for an hour, or if your UK membership you can't go ice skating or other activities even though you pay the same amount as with ice skating memberships. There are a lot of restrictions and limitations which are very hard to navigate and if you would like to use all facilities you need to pay more. In the end it's better to go to a luxury gym for that cost.

The facilities is nice and location is great as it is easy to get there with any transport. The only thing I would say that needs to improve is the women toilet, as it is very rundown and needs a bit of work in there.

Only recently discovered that this place has two bookable tennis courts with lights. The surface could have been better, but these courts are reasonably priced and well-lit compared to a few other options I had to use in the past.

Been playing football here for years and have always enjoyed myself. Many pitches available for booking that suit all kinds of matches or training. The pitch sizes cater to 5, 7 and 8 a side needs and are always in good condition considering how much they are used daily. Have never been a member of the gym so cannot comment on the facilities or the swimming pool. However prior to Covid, I would regularly use the bathroom and changing room and was always pleased by the condition that they were kept in (again owing to the volume of visitors this place welcomes on a daily basis).

I can't speak of it now but I used to go to their Holiday Club and the staff were very rude, some were quite nice but others just seemed to take pleasure in shouting at children. One faked a fire and refused to let us go to lunch. I had some of my stuff stolen and the staff refused to do anything about it, insisting it probably wasn't mine even though the item was very unique, and despite this they wouldn't let us put our bags in lockers. I have no idea if the staff have changed since, but not a great experience. Though, the actual activities were fun, there's lots of things to do and I really enjoyed the range of activities, though I wish they didn't separate boys and girls. If the staff weren't so rude it would be a great place.

Absolutely disgusting service from staff and manager who cancelled my block sessions on 7 a side pitch. Rather then resolving the matter. The issues was every week there problems no lights, switching lights of early meaning playing time cut short. Rather taking the matter and trying to resolve it they cancelled my booking. I will take this matter to local council making sure these staffs get sacked

Went to mile end soft play recently. Waste of money very unhappy. Booked my daughter in for an early play as she has autism, when I arrived didn't look like it was open lights were off, I asked if it was, she said yes. I thought the lights would be switched on when I went inside. No they wasn't. My daughter got scared, started crying and we had to leave. Lady was to far away for me to ask, couldn't leave my child to go and ask as she was distressed. She wouldn't want to go back in after we left the play area. Will never be able to take her there again. She likes soft play. Would give no stars if I could of

The gym is good for weights, probably the best equipped better gym in tower hamlets, but it’s just a constant mess. Not enough stands to put plates and not enough space for dumbbells so they are either left on equipment or the floor. And that creates a culture where people stop caring and don’t put weights away all together. Shame because it could be a good gym if it wasn’t kept like a bomb site.

  • 2/5 Niall G. 1 year ago on Google
Quite the mixed bag here. The gym users can be very unfriendly. The showers need a good cleaning. Those using the changing rooms seem to only know how to do so by roaring at each other. Often the equipment is broken for weeks and it is never ever cleaned. Make sure you have your noise cancelling headphones at all times. No one seems to know how to put their weights back after use and they discard tissue paper literally everywhere. After school hours, the place turns into a kids playground. The WiFi works at the very front of the gym only. Very few of the lockers work and when you bring this to the staff's attention, they ignore it.

  • 1/5 Gibran S. 2 years ago on Google
Nice place but a female staff suddenly came to me in front of soft play arena and said: "you have to book online" and rudely asked me to show my booking confirmation. How the hell can I enter the gate if I don't have a barcode to scan?! One star is unfortunately too much until they give some more training to staff.

  • 4/5 Horea L. 2 years ago on Google
Good things: the water in the pool and showers is warm (not as the water at Poplar Leisure Center where is cold). There is a parking place where you can pay 1,5£/h. Bad things: the changing rooms and showers are unisex (for everybody), with a smell of pee everywhere. Plus you need 20p for the locker (you cannot use the Better coin, like at Stratford Leisure Centre).
