Me and my sisters bought few fruity cake slices today.I'm actually from Surrey and I always buy my cakes from tolworth branch, so we thought why not try this branch as my sister gets it from you guys as your local to her. Unfortunately the cake was extremely dry and the fruit too. The taste was disgusting one of my sisiter didn't stop vomiting since she ate your cake. If you look at the fruits I'm sure you can tell how fresh this cake is. Very disappointed!!

Great service and excellent value for money compared to lots of other bakeries. The service was efficient and everything was clear and ready exactly on time.

This is the cake I received. I ordered the cake in delverloo. The first time I ordered it, I was very satisfied with the box reinforcement, but this time it didn’t break the cake. I was very disappointed.

My other experiences at Cakebox were great but not the Bethnal Green branch. To keep it short, I ordered a cake a week ago for a birthday party. They confirmed the order and gave me updates leading up to the birthday date. I could not attend to pick up the cake due to me hosting it so I had some friends pick it up. I received a text message stating the cake was ready for pick-up on the birthday day and I had some friends pick it up. When they arrived they told me the cake was not even made at all, yet I received the messages that it was. Not only was this terrible customer service but also stressful at the time. My friends told me they made the cake on the spot and unfortunately arrived late. I have used Cakebox before and has not let me down but this branch unfortunately did. In future I will still use Cakebox but I recommend to others to avoid the Bethnal Green branch

Such a cute place - love the colours, got air-con 👌, allergy information on the wall & everything is SUPER clean. They als have some bday things on the wall as well, which makes it a good spot for last minute bday needs!

Nice clean shop, served by Nuju, vey efficient and polite, I was in and out within 5 minutes and as always the cakes are delicious

Been coming to this branch so many times a year ever since it opened in Bethnal Green . Service is always great and fast. My kids and I love the cakes from here hence why I travel all the way to this shop

Bought cake today for my daughter's birthday. Fruits on top was disgusting taste. It wasn't fresh at all. Heard cake box cake is good but my experience very disappointing.

I was in desperate need of cupcakes for a party and I didn't have time to order online, so I called and a kind woman on the other line said there are some available for pick up, which was amazing and I was overjoyed.

Cakes that taste as good as they look, and they look fabulous! A lot of bakeries have great looking stuff on display, but when you taste it, it's bland or disappointing The Cake Box delivers good taste! It's definitely worth a visit.

Cake is tasty? It's tasty enough. It has no eggs because it's all about whipped cream. Cheap, less effort, super heavy. Let's say that, for an average person with no experience in baking, this could be considered super delicious. But if you have some knowledge and skills in baking cakes, you will probably know that this is just a cheap short cut to make cakes. I still enjoyed my slice and will probably purchase again in the future. However, this is nothing compared to a real Italian or French sponge cake.

Lovely creamy moist cup cakes, big issues with packaging, too individually put cup cakes in plastic containers is not sustainable, the box also has plastic in the lid and its delivered in a plastic bag rather than a paper bag. I do hope this is looked into.

Disgusting cake place. Disgusting customer service. Avoid like the plague. Poor low quality cakes sold at very high prices. Best to avoid this shop in the future.

Atrocious service cake supposed to be ready at 4 was not ready at 5.15 when I went to collect. Cake picture was cropped but I was not asked if that was OK. No call no email. Assistant said 'my manager was going to call you'. No call recieved. No apology. Nothing offered by way of apology. Seriously don't know how they get away with it. Well at least the review will give people some insight.

Ordered cake for 5pm when I got to the shop they haven’t made cake. Explanation I got they had 2 orders with the same name so it confused them?? No apology was told to wait until they make one stood outside the shop for half hour again when I collected no apology what kind of business is this no customer.

I usually get my cakes from cakebox but this time i was very disappointed. The picture in the middle was alot smaller than what they advertise on their website. The zebra print around the sides were coming off, the picture in the middle was all bubbly, came up in all the pictures! I wish i got another cake from somewhere else. Maybe standard cakes are fine but ill never order a designed cake from here ever again! Order pick up time was 4 but the cake wasn’t ready even though it was ordered maybe a week in advance. Updated: Although the experience yesterday was bad, ive changed my review to 5stars as they were kind enough to email me to apologise and give me a new cake at no extra cost.
