Amazing experience with these guys- I took my bike in for a rear wheel replacement and Tek sorted it out in 15 minutes- professional, reasonably priced and he even adjusted my gears and brakes for me. I've been working on bikes for years but from now on if I can't fix it, I'll take it to Tek!

I don't often leave reviews, therefore I only do so when the service is especially fantastic, which is always the case with Bikeworks on Cambridge Heath. My first bike store was Perlie Rides on Well Street, but after experiencing their unpleasant and predatory repairs and price points, I started looking elsewhere and discovered a better alternative. The staff at Bikeworks is friendly, sincere, approachable, and welcoming. Each time I bring a bike in for maintenance or repair, they always do an excellent job and are professional and speedy. I recently purchased a Dutch cruiser with a weird hub gear problem for which they MacGuyvered a fix that did not cause me to contemplate selling a kidney to be able to afford the bill. When it comes to the very technical aspects of the bicycle, I am a layman, and I'm sure Bikeworks is aware of it, but they don't take advantage of it. Unlike Perlie, that proposed close to £150 in labour and more in replacement parts for fabricated problems when you go in for a minor front derailer adjustment (because I have numpty tendencies and fiddled with it via those two screws and threw the setting off). That was just one example. Look no further if you're seeking to interact with professional, trustworthy, and good people in a bike shop that's clean, well-stocked, and conveniently located.

Ive visited this place twice after my bike got damaged, once for my brakes (fixing my gear shifts and cogs) and unresponsive brake pads which are a very important safety aspect, and again to get a tyre puncture fixed as well as chain replacements. At this point the gentleman who works there has had to fix many things for me on my bike since it was quite old and has been very helpful in doing so. He often advised me to fix things such as the chain which did indeed become an issue and i later realised how smoothly i was able to use my bike once fixed. I also was in a rush when i visited as i work as a delivery courier and so rely on my bike massively. The gentleman was working alone that day - no staff - with about 4-5 bikes to fix before mine. However he paid attention to my priority and worries and got it done in only an hour! Crazy how helpful he was and considered my situation. I was extremely happy and the results were great with everything fixed and quality product replacements for my bike. Defo trust this guy with my bike and bike safety again. Too bad i dont know his name but thank you!

best bike repair shop in East London by any measure. it's actually nice coming here. Friendly knowledge staff. Chilled vibe. No attitude saying "we won't work on that" or "your bike isn't worth repairing." Really difficult jobs done well, and in the most sustainable way. I hace a converted old bike with mid-drive. Electrics damaged. They did a complete rewire rather than replace the parts as it could be salvaged. They are currently rebuilding my Brompton's rear wheel to replace rim. They will then swap out a five speed for a three speed rear hub on a Pashley Mailstar for me. Absolutely great shop with great people and great service.

Friendly, helpful and professional. Went by when I could not remove my pedals. Guy used a large spanner and took them off. No charge and even greased the threads. I've used this shop and the old one, for repairs many times. They're always welcoming and honest prices. Bril social enterprise too.

Totally recommend, my bike was a mess, back wheel broke, gears all over the place. The engineer Tec fixed it all in 30 mins and we also had a great chat. Thanks!

Super friendly and knowledgeable guy. Will fix your bike without trying to upsell you any parts you don't need. Very genuine and hacky. Will find a way to fix your bike.

Superb bike services and excellent advice from a really friendly and personable team. Clearly want to help you rather than just sell you something and take a lot of care in their work. And more than that - all profits go to their social enterprise too so it's for a good cause. Can't recommend enough - thanks Tek!

I booked onto Bikeworks'intermediate maintenance course and had a great time. David was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly explained things in detail. We went into things in depth and allowed everyone to have a good go of things before moving on. We were also able to work on specific problems our bikes were having and learn more broadly from each other. David was very happy to give tips on how to look after your bike beyond the topics officially covered by the course and I feel much more confident in doing work on my own bike. Would definitely recommend!

Bikeworks has quickly become my go to bike repair shop because of the friendly, professional and trustworthy staff. I have visited twice with some pretty big repair jobs and on both occasions Mike broke down the cost for me so that I understood where the money was going and gave me confidence that the price was fair. On top of that the repair was done incredibly quickly.

I’ve just had my puncture repaired by TeK at this branch, he is the most professional and honest bike technician I’ve come across. He is my go to guy from now for sure!

I've been going to Bikeworks for 7 years since I swapped to a cycle commute. They've fixed my sh*t, given me sound advice, and taught me a thing or two so I can look after the small stuff. Anna who runs Cambridge Heath Road branch is very, very good. Ieuan (silver-grey 2nd hand Ridgeback)

Great second hand bike for the price, serviced well, they were happy to make some minor adjustments for free too (e.g. handlebar and seat height). Friendly staff, know what they're talking about, aren't coming out with any sleazy salesman BS either, unlike another bike shop I checked out in the area.

Amazing repair shop. I needed a quick adjustment for my gears and the seat. They didn't even charge me anything for that. Highly recommend for anyone who needs to fix their bike!!!

Great service for a very fair price. Had to check my breaks again after they were not adjusted in another shop. Mike has not just helped but probably prevented an accident since the problem was not even with the breaks but with the loose front wheel. Thanks a lot for you help! We fixed wheel and adjusted breaks for me and bought and installed seat pole for my husband’s bike. All took about 20 minutes. Can’t recommend more! Thanks for your work, guys!

Stopped using this place 6 months ago. Since the shop moved up the road from lower down Cambridge Heath Rd the service declined. Staff don't bother with carrying out basic, elementry checks as part of bike service and attitude a bit off, depending on staff you deal with. Try Limehouse Cycles in Cable Street. I found the guys there helpful and obliging. After getting my bike serviced there after previously using Bike Works, the bike felt like a new bike.

Although the service was good went there because I wanted to support local but was disappointed when I found out that I could have saved over £10 if I'd bought the same tyre elsewhere

Had a really bad experience with this bike shop. Had my chain and gears replaced and ever since they jumped, then had a full service and also had them replace a flat tyre which went flat again the same day. I went back there 3 times trying to get these things fixed before i gave upon the owners rude conduct and shops general incopetance. Took my bike to a new shop where they found glass in my tyre which Bikeworks didnt remove when changing the tyre. Also they said that the chain and gears were the cheapest you can buy and needed replacing after 1 month. The new bike shop also found that my wheel bearings were worn as they hadnt been greased despite my bike having a full bike service one month before at bike works. I spent a total of 155 quid at bikeworks and had to have everything replaced one month later. I do not recommend this bike shop, stay away.

😠 Con artists. Took my Samsung s9+ with box, charger and headphones there to sell as I upgraded and the phone was in excellent condition as it was kept in a sealed case. They inspected it and offered me £30.00 because of screen burn. I told them to do one. Took it straight to CEX and got £398.00 for...
