My BMW ELM light came on and the car started shaking violently. It would not go any faster than 20mph. I needed to find a garage near mile end who would do warranty jobs. Many refused but then I found Bancroft Garage. They were exceptional from start to finish. Bex took care of everything. He kept me informed throughout with messages and whatsapp videos of the diagnostics. I left the car with them on thursday evening and I had a perfectly running car the following day. I am very very happy 😊 I have found a garage I can trust. I will be returning for MOTs, services and any faults that may arise. I am a very happy customer. I am extremely grateful to Bex and the excellent team of mechanics. I highly reccomend them.

I discovered this garage by chance, a couple of years ago, and as a single female I am always wary of getting ripped off or fed stories about "extra unknown jobs" to bump prices up. However, I can wholeheartedly say this is not the case with Bancroft garage, I have had a number of issues sorted and fixed by the team, and only ever found them to be fair, professional, trustworthy, efficient and friendly. I feel like my car is in very good hands with the guys here and would 100% recommend them to anyone - local or not. They're fab :)

I left my Corsa with them today as it had a couple of defects. The garage was really quick and responsive when I contacted them, and were able to give me a quote and finish all the repairs within a day. The brother even stayed after hours to finish up the car as he knew I needed it the next day with no additional costs. Very friendly, reliable and honest. Would recommend :)

I have never been more happy with the customer service at a garage. All the people there were extremely friendly and helpful. My appointment was at 4pm, went early around 1.30pm as I had finished work. Even though they were busy, they still completed my MOT within an hour. I'm so glad I found this one and recommend it to everyone, will definitely tell my family and friends too. This review is coming from a person who's been ripped off by so many different garages especially the bengali ones, our own people rip us off. I actually didn't know where to take my car until I found and saw the excellent reviews online. Thank you so much once again!!

Becks the owner is very friendly and straightforward. I took in my Mazda with a faulty muffler first thing in the morning, and his team were able to fit a new one by 4pm in the afternoon. Excellent service!

Recently had a problem with my local Audi garage, who couldn't fix the issue I had with my car. Found this garage via google maps as it was local and took it in for a look. Becks and the guys were able to confirm the issue with me eventually and get the parts on order. There was not hassle to keep the car overnight while the parts were being ordered which was a relief; I didn't want to keep driving back and forth to get it sorted. When picking up the car I was shown the old faulty part and explained how it was causing the issue. Nice touch and good service! Overall a great experience with enthusiasm for my car as it isn't that common. Really pleased, I'll be coming back for my service.

The service was great. Lost my locking nut and he gave me a great price on changing all of them. He also changed my break pads and break discs. Also checked another fault and told me to try something before having a full diagnostic. Will definitely be going back

Recently found Bancroft garage after my previous garage had to move to Wood Green. To my delight I arrive and the mechanic was a familiar face from my previous garage! They fit me in for an MOT with two days notice and they are in a great location with lots of space on a quiet road. MOT done within 90 minutes. I have quite an old car and the clutch is starting to slip so they also said they would shop around for an affordable clutch incase I want to get this done. Great service. Will be back

Passionate and professional! I had a number of issues my Mazda 3. Took it to another garage who charged me to plug in a reader and couldn’t tell me what the reports meant. As well as telling me I needed a new sump for a oil leak. Not convinced I asked around and was recommended Bancroft Garage. Spoke to the manager who I could tell was very passionate about his job and generally wanted to help, instantly provided potential faults and self repair tips. I booked the car in. The team got to work on tracing and repairing all the fault codes lighting up my dashboard. They managed to diagnose one by one and managed to confirm my oil leak wasn’t just a gasket, which they resolved. I was really worried about the potential costs. But despite the time tracing the faults, I returned to collect the car with a very reasonable bill. I haven’t had luck with garages in the past. And Bancroft is an hour away from my home. Excellent service. The mechanic (I didn’t get his name sorry!) explained everything clearly and answered my questions in depth, provided me with videos of the issue and always kept me updated. He fixed the car within a couple of days. The team were really friendly and unlike any other garage I’ve been to. They even did a complimentary car wash. I would definitely recommend!

Used for a full service and MOT. The garage is under new ownership since my last service there. The level of service was much higher than the previous full service, identified key issues for now and then some other points to look at in future and what they might cost. Car has never been so clean in and out after they valeted it too. Very friendly and helpful team. Would recommend and will use again.

I needed an MOT quickly, and the friendly folks at Bancroft Garage were kind enough to slot me in on the same day. An hour after dropping the car off it was ready and I was given an objective view of the test result and their findings, and at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

Bex@Bancroft has looked after cars I’ve had for 15 years or so. In that time I’ve had no problems on the road at all. He’s knowledgeable, always friendly, straightforward to deal with and reasonable on price. He really takes responsibility for maintaining the car properly for you rather than just box ticking and doing the minimum on services. Last year he took time to help me out with a faulty car that I’d just bought - and gave me good advice which helped me get a refund from the dealer in the end. Highly recommend Bex and Bancroft.

I had an excellent experience at Bancroft- Bex really went above and beyond. Such high quality results for a very reasonable price! He took the time to give the whole car a once-over despite initially bringing it in just for a specific issue. Every step was fully explained with expert advise before I made any decisions. I just moved into the area. My car broke down and had so many faults. The lads at Bancroft sorted them all out in a day for a very fair price. They told me if there’s any issues bring it back. Where there was so many issues before one was bound to pop back up, I took it back them and they sorted it free of charge! The guys are super friendly and very good at what they do. After my car broke down. I contacted Bancroft Motors and they had a look over the vehicle told me what the issues were and how much it would come to roughly. My Honda Jazz was seriously out of working condition. Bex and the lovely team did some wonderful repairs, some extras and they didn't overcharge me either. The MOT is cheaper than most places so I will definitely be returning to do my future works on the car.

Brilliant, called up got an estimate right away, fair price so decided to give them a try. Brought the car in at 3:30, at 5:30 they called me back and the car was fixed. For two years I've been going different mechanics who told me to replace different parts or that they wouldn't touch the car at all. They removed the throttle body, cleaned it, done. No parts needed. Couldn't be happier.
