Visited here on a Saturday evening and wasn’t too busy. The staff were very lovely and it’s so great that you can see the chef cooking from your tables. You can tell that all the food is fresh and cooked well. The food was delicious and service was quick!

Love this Japanese restaurant, authentic and friendly service. Food is nice and reasonable price. Little gem in the heart of the city. Feel like we were in Japan.

A nice, authentic mom and pop Japanese restaurant near the London Eye with a good variety of dishes and sushi to choose from. Everything was really good, and the service was efficient and friendly. Be sure to make a reservation in advance.

Very delicious authentic sushi! The fish in our rolls and sashimi had great fresh flavor. Very sweet couple who run it that take great pride in their work. Cozy and cute sushi spot great for a casual but high quality sushi meal! A genuinely good restaurant in the midst of a touristy area. An easy walk from visiting Westminster Abbey or the London Eye.

really homey japanese restaurant the chefs are really sweet and dedicated and the vibe is really cosy. the nigiri set was really great and fresh and the tempura was excellent, almost i wish transported us back to tokyo. The interior is really elegant and the beers were ice cold and fresh the pork belly was so good and the menu is so interesting and really traditional japanese dishes. monksfish liver and spicy cod roe were really interesting and tasty but also a bit intense but so great that you can get them here and they pair so well with beer. will definitely try to come back soon as there is so much to try!

Authentic lovely Japanese sushi restaurant, great quality and value. We loved the spicy salmon rolls, salmon skin and prawn tempura rolls. Handmade sesame ice cream was a real treat too.

If you're looking for a real treat when it comes to sushi, then Sagamiya is the place to be! This family-run restaurant serves up the freshest and finest sushi right before your very eyes. The sushi master is a real artist, and watching him in action is a joy to behold. The prices are a real steal, considering the quality on offer. Service is lightning fast, and the open kitchen adds a touch of theatre to the whole experience. They've got separate menus for lunch and dinner, so you can pop in at any time of day. I'd say this place is well worth a visit!

Authentic Japanese restaurant. Managed by sweet couple and most customers here are Japanese. I used to visit japan often and i can tell that this restaurant serves authentic delicious fresh Japanese cuisines. Honest food, good fresh ingredients. Nothing pretentious like some overpriced so-called Japanese restaurants around mayfair. And its really affordable. seatings are limited and you do have to get here early. Will definitely be coming back.

Food is nothing special but very good quality and well prepared. The waitress and chef are both so friendly and seeing them enjoying their work makes my lunch more tasty as well 😁

This is an amazing place for real Japanese fresh sushi and samshi. I was traveling there in Oct and just get chance to review. The food is top notch and very reasonable price for lunch special. The owners are such nice lovely Japanese couple and even helped me charge my phone. The shop is very neat and nice and in very good location near London eye and train station. It's easy to miss the entrance as it is low profile a d two Japanese restaurants side by side. The other one beside seems also fine but not sushi place. I rarely give 5 stars but I am happy to give one this year to this restaurant. It's on my favorite place and will be back every time I am in London for sure.

An elegant Japanese restaurant that’s not immediately obvious to people passing by. It serves authentic Japanese food. We especially like their teriyaki chicken.

This is a gem of a Japanese restaurant near Westminster. I went there with three friends for dinner - it was quiet, friendly and intimate. The service was courteous. Everything we ordered was of exceptional quality - amazing dishes included salmon belly and neck with miso, aubergine with miso, assorted sushi set B and agedashi tofu. For dessert, we enjoyed the homemade ice cream - I had coffee flavour; friends had black sesame flavour - both were absolutely delicious. We will definitely come back again and again.

Had a nice dinner, but a few dishes were quite salty. Service was ok but could be a bit quicker and attentive. Elderly lady serving was very sweet and friendly

Really lovely experience for a quick work day lunch break. Place was cute and cozy, but had seats when we walked in. We had a salmon teriyaki bento and prawn curry, both came out fast and well decorated. Good sized portions, fresh ingredients, flavor on point. Reasonably priced at £11.5 per dish from lunch menu. Would definitely recommend.

I'm from Taiwan and I really like Japanese food, it's a really delicious, and local Japanese restaurant. It can be proved since they have a lot of Japanese customers.

Unpretentious, authentic and good quality Izakaya food, reasonably priced for its location. All the personnel were Japanese and 70% of clientele appeared to be Japanese, too; a good sign for authenticity. I ordered a la carte for my non-Japanese guests, as the set menu didn't look too exciting. We ate and drank plenty and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Very highly recommended (by a Japanese)!!

An absolute gem! Amazing that being so central this place isn’t busier, the staff were welcoming and attentive, the food choice was very varied, the quality was really excellent, the decor was pleasant in a woody/minimalist sort of way, you could watch the chef prepare the sushi in the centre of the restaurant, prices were very reasonable (less than £10 per sushi roll), will definitely be returning and telling everyone about this. We didn’t have a reservation on a Friday night and could get a table fine.
