Completed my PADI Open Water course with Oyster Diving and it was a great experience, particularly Part B in Mercers Lake which exceeded expectations. I did it in August and the lake was really warm, around 22 degrees, and the water was super clear with lots to see - an awesome weekend! I was in a class with just 2 other people and Jill T was my instructor for part B and she was really encouraging, a great teacher, and I'd definitely love to do more courses with her!

Oyster Diving School helped me get my Open Water License in a week, over two consecutive weekends! Tom was a brilliant instructor who was incredibly calm, knowledgeable and supportive throughout. Initially I was going to do the Part B of the Open Water in Jamaica, but considering how nice and engaged Tom was I decided to do Part B with him too. I would recommend Oyster Diving School to friends and family, the entire team was incredible!

What a delight my Advanced Open Water Course this last weekend was! Tom was my instructor and rather than just have me repeat exercises, he was really focused at improving my diving at the right pace. I could definitely feel the progress dive after dive. Additionally, the facilities they use are brilliant for training. Mercers Lake is a great confined space to train and get instructions and experiment. The NDAC on the other hand is a huge and very interesting experience to put all you've learned into practice and still have plenty to see from wrecks to aquatic life. Lastly, the whole team, especially Tom, Tracy and Liz were really accommodating and helpful with my individual situation (such as difficult travel to NDAC), I really appreciate that. I'll be coming for more specialties and fun dives in the new future with Oyster for sure! Thank you again!

Finished a few PADI diving specialty courses with Oyster last weekend: Solo/ Self-Reliant diver, Full Face Mask, and DPV (underwater scooter). Cannot fault the experience in any way. Mark Murphy, Oyster's director, took care of all the admin aspects of the courses and the dives smooth and seamlessly. Jamie Smith, the instructor, was clearly knowledgeable and experienced, but also approachable and interested in giving his students the best possible experience. Really recommend both Oyster and Jamie to any diver interested in getting her/ his diving to the next level!

Amazing diving school and shop! Tom was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in the shop and on our discover scuba session where he was so welcoming, patient and inspiring. Ian and Aimee were absolutely fantastic with me and my husband on our part A course as well, really clear teachers and fun, so incredibly patient as well and quick to adapt their teaching style to support learners needs to achieve success! As a qualified higher education teacher myself they were really impressive! Thank you so much!

Completed my PADI Open Water with Oyster and my experience was incredible! Everyone at Oyster is profoundly professional, knowledgeable, and very supportive of their students. George and Alex were amazing instructors, clearly explaining everything every step of the way making the group feel safe and comfortable as we flew through the syllabus. The admin team are equally as friendly and helpful quickly responding to and resolving any queries I had. I can’t recommend the team at Oyster highly enough for anyone looking to do SCUBA training, I’m already planning to come back to complete my Advanced Open Water 🤿

After having an awful experience with another London diving company I’m so glad I decided to give my open water course another try with Oyster Diving. Over the weekend I completed my open water referral and from start to finish the staff were great! Our instructor Tom was amazing explaining everything with such precision and was also sure to make the course fun too which gave me the confidence to complete all the skills required. I am now hoping to join Oyster Diving to complete my open water course in the coming weeks. I really couldn’t recommend this company enough for anyone thinking about taking up scuba diving!

Started my Part A of my two part Freediving course with Oyster. Was greeted by Tom and we quickly got into the course with the obligatory H&S forms, a quick Q&A before we got in the pool to make sure everyone was prepped and understood each other. Tom was so easy to understand, without using any slang, we all felt at ease and understood every word. I felt relaxed the whole way through, which is key when you are Freediving. I managed a 2:45 static although not great, i learned how to prepare and zone out for better future results. Truly recommend Oyster for all your diving needs!!! Thanks again Tom and Co for all your advice and equipment.

The pool sessions were a blast, and the lake dive completely exceeded my expectations. Hats off to Ian and Neil – their teaching skills and experience shine through. Their patience and expertise made a huge difference in boosting my confidence underwater. Completed my open water with Harvey, he was awesome. Turned our small group of 5 into pro divers by the end of the weekend. Mercers Lake was also a great little practice ground.

Tally, Phil and Tom were honestly the most incredible diving instructors and mentors through my open water certification journey. Couldn’t recommend booking through Oyster diving more. They were very skilled and knowledgable and helped me overcome my initial feeling of being overwhelmed. Using the right mix of humour and insightful dive knowledge was an amazing way to learn. Had a great time doing my open water dives with them. They made it fun and as comfortable as possible when diving in 14 degree water at the end of October. The Instructor team of George P, Chris and Pasquale were amazing! They were really friendly, reassuring and made sure the weekend was fun & engaging while still doing all of the required check and tests. Had a really fabulous time with them all, would highly recommend!

I completed the full freediver course at Oyster Diving. Oyster Diving provides a high number of dates and locations for pool and open water training. They are very helpful with any questions and issues before the course. The instructor, Phil, I had my course with, was very knowledgeable and supportive. For the course, Oyster Diving provided all the relevant equipment which was of very good quality and in very good shape. The venues for pool and open water training were of a high standard and had ample of parking space. During the course, I learned a lot and had a great time. I am very satisfied with Oyster Diving and I highly recommend them.

Dry suit diving course at their fine lake in Godstone. Instruction from Logan was top notch- a safe pair of hands and highly entertaining. His assistant Melvin did a perfectly competent job too.

Supper fun experience, I just got the opened water certificate with Oyster Diving and I need to mentione that all the staff is friendly and very helpful. Thanks to the instructors Laura and Sofie for this weekend. 100% I will complete more courses with the club.

I completed my Open Water Part A confined dive with Oyster. Our instructor Soaps was excellent, the session was informative, fun and highly efficient (completed in 4-5hrs). I left feeling confident and looking forward to my open water dive.

Really enjoyed my Introduction to Scuba Diving session held at Oyster's South East London and Kent venue. The instructors were very patient and explained everything really well. Would recommend to others interested in trying out scuba diving for the first time.

I completed my Advanced Open Water this weekend with Laura, and had such a great time. I was quite nervous about my deep dive, but Laura made me feel at ease and reassured. She explained the skills clearly and calmly, and was able to advise me on how to improve in areas that I needed more practice in. I have come away from the weekend feeling so much more knowledgable and confident in my abilities, and I'm looking forward to my future diving adventures. Thank you!

Just wanted to update my review since completing the Open Water course. Still wonderful! Had a lovely weekend and feel much more confident in the water. Previously- Wonderful! I was a little nervous and struggled with a few of the techniques- especially clearing my mask of water but our instructor took the extra time and care to ensure I was able to continue onto the next part. Would highly recommend.

She answered endless questions and had so many helpful tips. And Ryan and Tom were fantastic for the lake portion! Extremely knowledgeable and upbeat, super in-tune with who was comfortable/less comfortable doing certain things, and really helped us all feel safe and supported throughout the entire weekend. Did my advanced open water certification with oyster diving. Tracey and the other DMTs present were great, they were friendly, gave good practical advices, were attentive to all the students and we're good instructors. My experience with customer service has been great too and the whole experience was pretty smooth.

I just did my PADI open water part A at the Oyster Diving School in Soho. Great experience. I was in a group of four and our teacher Laura was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable & experienced. She explained everything thoroughly and was very patient with us. Very impressed!

I completed my part A of the Open Water course with Oyster at the Marshall Street swimming pool. Oyster was always so diligent and helpful at all contact points, from giving me all information I needed before signing up, down to check in at the Pool with Tracey who helped me with all paper work, questions and lessons scheduling and re-scheduling. I was lucky to have Laura as my instructor - Laura’s friendliness, communication skills and general teaching experience were second to none. Laura helped me and the group with all skills and made us all feel very conformable as we progressed with the course. Repeating exercises and answering all and any questions was never a problem and Laura kept drawing back to her own experiences to explain us how and why a given pool exercise was important for when diving in a real life, open water dive. I could not recommend Oyster Diving and Laura enough if you’re looking into completing this awesome course - thank you!

They truly go above and beyond in training and support for their students from start to completion. All communication is clear and concise, Covid 19 rules are followed strictly.
