I took my pony for lunch at the cuckfield, yes that’s right pony. It was my 40th birthday and to be honest, what better way to spend the day. Lunch with my bestie! We were made to feel special and treacle even got some lunch too. Food was yummy. In fact I could easily polish off the Nachos and Halloumi fries all over again! YUMMY! The only pub I know to be horse friendly aswell as dog friendly.

The Cuckfield exceeds expectations in every aspect of the bar and dining experience. With its delectable cuisine, exceptional beverages, and inviting atmosphere, it has firmly established itself as a premier destination for those seeking a memorable night out. Whether you’re a food enthusiast, a cocktail aficionado, or simply someone who appreciates a well-rounded experience, The cuckfield is undoubtedly the place to be. The only problem we faced here was to walk and go to the bill counter to place an order for your drinks and bring them to your table as they don’t serve alcohol at the table.

I took a large group with one vegetarian, two coeliacs, a baby and a dog for a sunday roast and we recieved THE BEST service. Attentive staff, delicious food, beautiful, relaxing setting. Chloe personally took time out of her day to check the menu for allergens, speak to the kitchen about alterating the menu to fully accomodate a gluten free diet and make sure we were set up with a high chair and a table in the corner for the dog. Will definately be returning and recommending. Thank you to the whole team 10/10

Friendly staff, quick service, great drinks and great food at decent prices. Very accommodating given I came in to order food just five minutes before the kitchen closed! Will gladly return when I'm next in the area for work.

Really like this place, came on a quiet thurs late afternoon. Friendly staff, well kept lager (Pravha), and even though quiet in here the food came out hot and delicious. Will come back when in Wanstead again.

Had lunch here today with my friend. Had the cod goujons and croquettes and my friend had a burger. Food was absolutely delicious. And the 2 young bar ladies were tentative and polite. Overall a great visit, will definitely be coming back soon.

This was probably the worst Sunday roast I've had in London. I got the beef and it came out cold and overcooked, so I sent it back. It came back out just being heated in the microwave - I would have expected them to replace the meal. The beef was now even more tough and chewy. The potatoes were not crispy but soggy, the other vegetables like the parsnip and carrots were undercooked and the gravy was so tasteless and runny. My other friends got the pork belly and said the meat was ok but again, the sides were all soggy and gross. We had to constantly flag staff to get attention to serve us and it was just mediocre all round.

Found the his gem spot by an accident while wondering around Wanstead area. Venue is huge, very cozy and the greatest part is… big, green garden at the back of the building! ❤️ menu looks great, tries few bar snacks and I just say the best tacos I’ve had! Planning to go back to try the classic Sunday Roast 😎

Fantastic Pub Experience with a Beautiful Beer Garden! Went to The Cuckfield in Wanstead for a quick drink and some nibbles, and it turned out to be a delightful experience! The pub had a lovely atmosphere with its charming interior. The 3 for £16 deal on bar food was a steal, considering the area's prices. I was impressed by their extensive selection of cocktails, which catered to all tastes. However, the real gem was the stunning beer garden at the back, undoubtedly one of the best in London. Even during a busy Father's Day lunchtime, the service remained quick and efficient. Highly recommended!

Interesting menu, definitely a little different to the usual pub fare. Nice selection of ales. We went in a Saturday afternoon. Nice atmosphere, if it weren't for the number of families with small children who rather ruined the experience. Still recommended, but maybe not as much at weekend lunchtimes.

Sat outside in the evening so was a little breezy and the seat we were at the heating wasn’t working. Some other seats were wet. But we managed to move after someone else moved. Not too busy by late evening. Found the food good and drinks but it’s a little pricy for what it is. Would come back.

Wonderful staff, beautiful location. Alfresco dining. Delicious aromas of Sunday dinner as you enter the front bar area. Highly recommend for a nice chilled atmosphere with a homely cooked meal.

Food was great. Interesting selection of beer. If your out for just a drink the Spoon up the road opposite Wanstead Station is much much cheaper with a better selection of Beer. But for food quality and ambience this is much better.

Really enjoyed our meal today. It was slightly chaotic as the doors had just opened after the refurb, service at the dining tables was all over the shop and had to go to the bar to order drinks, but have to say, Sunday roast was great. Good to have you back open again. Few snagging issues to be sorted but does look lovely.

We had our Christmas drinks on Friday night. The pub has been refurbished, looks great. The buffet style food we had was really delicious and really good quality too. I'd say there might not hv been enough bar staff especially as it was a footy night but apart from that great

Real shame as it’s a good pub. I think they were having an off-night for service. We were informed a few items weren’t available 15 minutes after ordering & paying for food. We then waited a long time for our food. When it arrived it was in drips & drabs. Food & drink were good but communication and service needs to improve.

Went in today for a quick pint, post refurbishment. Interior looks stunning, modern and vibrant, great use of space. Team were genuinely welcoming and all looked pleased to be in a nice, fresh environment. Neck Oil was on point as usual.

We recently held our son’s 1st birthday in the conservatory area at The Cuckfield. It was perfect for the occasion. The pub allowed us to decorate with balloons/banners/bunting etc. The buffet provided by the pub received excellent feedback and the staff were all really helpful and polite. Would highly recommend!

I came on a Wednesday which is their famed burger night, it lived up to everything it said it would be, an incredible burger (I had the boss which was two burgers, bacon, a hash brown and a sauce too, was a spicy but not overpowering) plus a free drink, I went with a Guinness, the bar informed me of more but I was sold at Guinness. Bar staff were very pleasant and provided me with all options available to me, the service was fast and the waitress was delightful and offered everything we need. Very pleased will certainly be back!!

We visit a few weeks ago to have a meal which was outstanding. The pub itself is airy and spacious as well as being dog friendly. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable and go the extra mile to help you. As a gin lover they helped me to find a new gin I had not tried before and the elderflower gin fizz was exquisite. Definitely recommend and will return again soon.
