😠 For us as muslims and tourists from Austria it was not allowed neither to enter the building nor to pray. We really were horrified and disappointed. I even prayed for two times in christian churches and it was not only allowed, it was valuated. For me it was not important if is a shia mosque or sunn... People often mention pray, building,

For us as muslims and tourists from Austria it was not allowed neither to enter the building nor to pray. We really were horrified and disappointed. I even prayed for two times in christian churches and it was not only allowed, it was valuated. For me it was not important if is a shia mosque or sunni, but now I have different look on this community. Unfortunately.

This is not a mosque for Muslims to pray. I was instructed to go to a Qatar Medical Office Mosque nearby. My fault - I should have checked beforehand. The building looked nice from the outside.

They didn‘t let us pray because it‘s “private property“. That is a mosque and you cannot forbid someone to pray inside, islamicly that is so wrong.

We went there at around 2pm to pray zuhr. But we were sent off; told there are no exhibitions and prayers are at 7pm. Err why occupy such a large space when you’re not going to allow people to pray?? So disappointed!

The Ismaili Centres are symbolic markers of the permanent presence of the Nizari Ismailis in the countries and regions in which they are established, characterised by the Aga Khan IV as 'ambassadorial buildings'.[1] Each building is architecturally unique and functions as a jamatkhana (place of worship), but also incorporates spaces for social and cultural gatherings, intellectual engagement and reflection, as well as spiritual contemplation. They facilitate mutual exchange and seek to foster understanding between diverse peoples, communities and faiths. Ismaili Centres have been established in London (1985),[5] Vancouver (1985), Lisbon (1998), Dubai (2008), Dushanbe (2009),[6] and Toronto (2014). One more is planned for Houston.

Enjoyed the tour for Open Gardens last week. Amazing multi use building on the island site just seems to sit perfectly surrounded by museum's, residential area, ambassy and restaurants.

Beautiful place of prayer. Design inside is very intricate and meaningful. The fountain in the entrance area is stunning.

We visited the rooftop garden, which was spectacular with blooming roses, lavender, and a central water feature with rills. The architech had designed it, so the museum roof opposite complemented the design. The guides were informative, and we were fortunate to see the meeting hall.

Super amazing place to study, learn, and do a research on any field of your interest. The Library contains huge amount of books, articles, e.t.c., and has calm and cool place which gives feelings of serenity, and help in opening your inner eyes gradually.

I was passing by the Ismaili Centre today and was hoping to quickly pray my duhr salaat there. They said no not possible, it's a community centre, not a masjid! (And they don't do Jummah salaat there). Hope that's useful for people to know, best wishes.

One of the more impressive buildings I've been to in London and it has this amazing gardener on the roof.
