The food was delicious and appetising. The view inside of the restaurant was so good I loved what my eyes were seeing. I had a huge choice of foods on the menu and it was all affordable.

We went here for the first time and will definitely be back. Staff were super welcoming and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Very generous portions too. We really enjoyed the salmon and beef steak lunch options and the soup starters. Can’t wait for our next trip to try the lamb shoulder - as recommended!

The best food I have tasted in the East London area & hands down the best Somali food in London. I am a regular and always get the lamb shoulder & beef steak. I just tried the chicken leg for the first time yesterday & I think it's my new favourite. The portion sizes are great, I never leave feeling hungry. The staff are welcoming and friendly & the service of food to the table is quick. The restaurant is clean inside and very well run. If it's your first time eating Somali food you have to try Banana with the rice!

I hosted a party for 20+ people at kulan, staff were amazing and super accommodating throughout the whole time. decoration for the event space was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. Food was amazing with great generous portion sizes, everyone had positive comments. Overall 10/10 would recommend this restaurant to everyone and will definitely come again.

My bro Ibrahim ate my sisters food, we told the other waiter ahmed our food was cold and dry - like your ENORMOUS stomach BECAUSE YOU ATE ALL THE HILIB - and he then tasted the food. He then proceeded to finish my beef steak, sugaar and rice also proceeding to eat my whole familys request of food and drinks. He gave us a Mango lassi the size of his calool 💀, which looked like he mixed it with animal enzymes and a variety of amino acids. The toilet was very wet and dirty like the dandruff in his hair. Overall, it was a horrendous experience and the waiters said the food £69 which is absolutely ridiculous. The shiqni/spice was bloody mad hot and my mum told him the food was dry and he told us he will bring us other condiments but he never came back with the milk 🔙.

The food and drinks were simply delicious, the staff were helpful and accommodating. I came with my friends and we all agreed we’d definitely come back sometime again.

By far one of the best rice with meat in London, if you haven't tried their food yet, you're honestly missing out.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! Me & my friends organised a pre Ramadan party as they have a function room downstairs which was amazingly beautiful & perfect for all my niqabi sisters! The food, service, cleanliness & stuff were amazing!!! Can't fault anything & we will surely be back again!!!

Delicious food , nice atmosphere and great welcoming. Yesterday me and my 4 year old went there after school , we had an amazing service . Also couple of weeks ago we ordered some food and my guests really loved the food.

We booked for birthday dinner. The decorations was great . Staff was very polite and friendly. Speakers for music was working lovely. The food was very delicious at very reasonable price. I definitely recommend and I will go back. Keep up your great energy. Thanks guys

A great way to try Somali food if you live in East London. Some similarities to Turkish or other Middle Eastern foods if you haven't tried it before. I got the food by takeaway through deliveroo so I can't speak to the restaurant itself but the food was fantastic. An easy five stars The lamb shoulder was huge and great value for money. The lamb was cooked perfectly (it's a difficult meat to get right so props for the chef). Everything tasted great.

I would highly recommend Kulan for the fantastic service and great Somali food. The food is very reasonably priced for the massive portions that you get and all of the food is 10/10. I really enjoyed the beef steak and the lamb shank too. And the staff are all very friendly and willing to help however they can. I cannot wait to go back to Kulan!

I found this gem from searching for Somalian food as i was craving for it, last time I had was 8 years ago in Al Kahf in Tower Hamlets I have to say the food was huge in portion and delicious, definitely worth the money and customer service was brilliant, was offered to try their soup but I declined as I knew that I wouldn’t be able to finish the lunch otherwise The brother gave us free side dish, I was really impressed. I’ll definitely come back and recommend this to others Sorry I didn’t take any pictures as it was take away but I couldn’t fit the rice onto my plate Really loved the food

We had an absolutely amazing time at the restaurant. Hosted a bridal shower for my sister and we had so much fun, it was set up nicely. Food and Service was 10/10 everyone loved it.

2nd time back for breakfast. The food is amazing and delicious. Staff are very friendly and explained how some of the foods are eaten traditionally if you are not acustomed to Somalian food. Affordable and fresh. Definitely going back again and again. Next time for Lunch/Dinner.

The food was absolutely good with exceptional customer service. I must go there at least twice a week, it takes me an hour but it’s worth it. Also the shop design just makes the place feel cozy.
