Very beautiful and quiet place. We were NOT allowed to check out late. The breakfast buffet was great. I would have appreciated the front desk staff to be a little more accommodating. I had a massage 10-11AM so I asked for 30’ of additional time for check out, to allow me to shower after it. This was on a Wednesday. I was interrupted before I finished my question and I was told no. I was offered to shower at the gym and to leave my suitcase in the lobby. The gym shower is not so private so not ideal. While I understand the place may have been busy, I think it could have been addressed differently. Other than that, a great place.

Nice spot for a special getaway. We were there for only one night and there happened to be a wedding going on - but we were relieved we didn't have to listen to drunken caterwauling (for long). It's worth the price of the stay just to get a parking spot for the beaches and cliff walks since every other spot in the whole town must be paid for with blood and tears. Clean rooms with comfy stuff and quiet despite all the people. Would totally stay here again.

For the prices they charge during high season, I had high expectations. I was disappointed. I’m reviewing based on how this inn is presented and priced. I was expecting great hospitality and felt kind of duped. Restaurant was quite bad - steak wasn’t cooked to temp, servers understaffed - bartender (I think Amelia?) was AMAZING and added a star to this review alone. Avoid the restaurant - it was shockingly bad - but DO visit the bar. Older women at the front desk weren’t hospitable or helpful. Younger staff were all really great but it was a discordant and weird experience. Alistair was awesome. He was the only person at the front desk that was helpful and courteous and we really appreciated it. Grounds are absolutely phenomenal but the other amenities were very disappointing. We were in a “harbor” view room…don’t be fooled. You view the parking lot. We were uncomfortable being out on our balcony because of all of the cars/people and traffic coming in. Very odd that they actually charge extra for a view of cars and asphalt and people walking right there. I found the rooms to be slightly better than a nicer Holiday Inn. Bottom line - the level of service and amenities just do not stack up to what they charge.

We were lucky enough this year to make it to the Fourth of July clambake! You can’t beat the view, especially for the fire works at Harbor beach. The service was phenomenal and the buffet blew us away! We had guests visiting with young children and we were offered blankets due to the air conditioning and even a staff member went above and beyond ( even with a smile) to get food for one of us with a sleeping baby! The whole experience really was top notch! We can’t wait to come back! Such a special place!

We had a good experience at Stage Neck Inn. Long but honest review below. Positives: The breakfast buffet was amazing! The room itself was nice. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed the restaurant and the main lobby. The store had cute items for adults and kids. The outside area is beautiful as it's right by York Harbor Beach. The bed was comfortable and the room is very spacious. Negatives: I was told on the phone it'd be better to have a ground floor room, but I wish I would have gotten a better ocean view like I wanted. The bathroom was a bit outdated and some of the corners were dirty. Some older features in the room. I would definitely stay here again, and I recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking to stay in this area. It is family friendly and a great area to stay in.

We absolutely love Stage Neck Inn and plan to continue staying here as often as we can! We've stayed here three separate times over the last year and have had an amazing experience each time. Our most recent stay was the best of all - we hosted our wedding at SNI in June and had the time of our lives! The staff were incredible all weekend long. All of our wedding guests raved about their stay: the rooms, staff, food, bartenders, ocean views... they loved it all. Huge shoutout to Dawn who helped to coordinate all of the details of our wedding day and made sure everything ran smoothly. She's the best! We can't wait to be back at Stage Neck soon.

Stage Neck Inn is a wonderful hotel. Ours was an oceanfront ground floor unit. The view of the Boone Island Light and Lobster boats heading out at daybreak and returning with their haul was fantastic. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a pleasant experience. Good service, well prepared food. Visit was off peak. Towards the end of our stay, as the weather warmed, the hotel staff placed cafe tables on the lawn outside our unit. It was unsettling and took away from our overall experience.

Was mislead on the room we booked for 700+ per night. We went for nice weekend getby the beach (5hour drive both ways) beach was smalll and covered in seaweed sand was like mud and had a bad oder during low tide .are room views was a parking lot that was sold as a partial water view. The water view it had was a pond like area outdoor.pool was small and not attached to hotel .indoor pool was a joke overall bad experience. Will not go back

We ate there for their 50th anniversary meal. The service was excellent. The food was cooked perfectly and the dinner was priced fairly. Tap beer was ice cold. Location cannot be beat and the views from the lawn are gorgeous. Highly recommended.

Beautiful cozy little Inn! Harbor side room had an awesome view. Service at the bar and dining room were outstanding. They have the friendliest employees here. Dinner was spectacular. 5 stars - highly recommend! We will be back!

I loved this one night overnight stay. Highlights - Service was friendly and welcoming, large very clean rooms with well cared for furnishings, a beautiful lawn area with great views, a lovely beach to enjoy. We had a partial ocean view (basically a parking lot room with a beautiful view of the beach and homes on the cliff) which I wouldn't hesitate to book again. However we didn't sit on the balcony; had we wanted to then I would consider upgrading to a water view. I loved the Adirondack chairs on the lawn to view the ocean and boats coming and going from the harbour. The beach was also a highlight for me. We had a buffet breakfast included which was exceptional on food quality, quantity and service - well worth the small mandatory gratuity. Fabulous spot for a stop on an East coast road trip. We visit the Boston area often and I'll definitely be staying here again.

This is such a beautiful vacation place! April through December it’s just absolutely beautiful. Rooms are so comfortable and clean. Staff is great so helpful. One of my most favorite places to stay. Really can’t say enough about this place!

If this is the sort of thing you're looking for is pretty good. We were going to a wedding next door and the internet made this place look like they had the best breakfast around. I'm not sure that the breakfast was as impressive as I'd hoped, but it was substantially better than most hotels that have been to. The grounds in the rooms are lovely. We chose one of the rooms that looks over the harbor instead of the ocean, it was a great choice.
