I wouldn't reccomend anyone else!!! Dr.Paul is by far THE BEST dentist/prostodontist I've been too!! I searched for almost a year for a good dentist to help me with my teeth, Due to a hereditary disease I needed my teeth taken out and dentures put in. Every dentist I saw either judged me by my teeth or I just wasn't comfortable for one reason or another...until I found Dr. Paul at Columbia dental. Right off the bat I was comfortable with him. He's personable, outgoing and REAL. I met him in Dec of 22' and in Aug 23' finally had enough $ to go back. He remembered EVERYTHING we talked about/about me. Then and there I decided he was the one. EVERYONE in that office is just amazing, not just Dr. Paul, but giselle (his asst) and mckayla (receptionist) are amazing women who care just as much as Dr.Paul and they make that known in the way they treat you and talk to you. Heck I call now and she doesn't even answer columbia dental anymore (they have caller ID so she knows its me) she answers like a friend would every single time I call!!! Dr paul knew (as well as everyone in the office) that I wanted the procedure and teeth before my sister's wedding in October. After molds and everything leading up to extractions I only had a week and 2 days before I left for Florida for her wedding, so the other dentist personally drove my molds to the lab to make sure theyd be ready on time. 4 days before I was due to leave (a Tuesday) I got the news that the lab wasn't gonna be ready in time and Dr. Paul is off on Fridays so I wouldn't have them done in time for the wedding . I was absolutely distraught. That Thursday morning, I call bc I was actually gonna change my flight, but that's when mckayla (receptionist) asked if I'd come in the next day bc Dr. Paul was gonna come in ON HIS ONE DAY OFF and make sure I had it done in time for the wedding and was going an hour out of his way that night to personally pick up my dentures from the lab to have them for the next day. I was blown away! That truly showed that he really does care about his patients and that I'm not just a number or a commission! To have a dentist who truly cares about his patients is rare and I will NEVER go to anyone but him!!! If he ever leaves columbia dental I'll be following him wherever he ends up, HES WORTH IT!

Had a good first experience here last year with friendly staff and a quick appointment, however have unfortunately been unable to arrange a 6-month appointment due to lack of hygienists on staff (?). Called numerous times between May and September and told every time that they have no dental hygienist, and were unable to disclose if they were working on hiring/training someone. I know COVID times are tough but I have never heard of an office having zero hygienists. Not sure if they just stopped accepting my insurance and this is their way around it - if so I would much rather be told that upfront.

I would come here for more work on my teeth. They have convenient hours, they’re able to get you in fairly quick in an emergency and dental work is pain free. I have an extreme dental fear and I was not in any pain during my recent extraction. The only problem I had with this office is one of their female assistants was extremely rude during my extraction. I was petrified and she told me to get myself together and not get worked up in a very sassy and insensitive way. I found that to be extremely rude and careless. Other than that, the dentist I had was phenomenal and the other assistant I had (a man) was pleasant and even made me laugh. Weed out the insensitive workers. A lot of people are afraid to go to the dentist and people like that are going to destroy your business. UPDATE: The manager called me the very next morning after reading this review. She was genuinely concerned that one of her assistants treated me this way. She listened, took note and promptly took care of the problem! Very impressed with how much this facility cares about their patients. I will return!! Changing my review to 5 stars!

I have never been a fan of the dentist but not only was the actual dentist amazing and gentle, but the staff was great as well. They were running a little behind but actually took the time to call me ahead of time to let me know so I didn’t come in and sit in the office for the extra time. When being checked in the staff had amazing personalities. Diana was especially great! I would highly recommend this dentist office.

My husband and I just got stationed in Connecticut and we had to choose a PCP, dentist and etc. I needed to get my 6 month exam and my wisdom teeth removed. I had called a bunch of different dental offices and Columbia Dental had the soonest appointment available. Lucky me! I really got spoiled with the way they treated me here. Dr. Paul and his assistant, Lisbeth, took such amazing care of me. I had never had any type of surgery before and I was terrified. As soon as I sat in that chair my nerves had set in and I immediately started to cry. They had the utmost patience for me and sat down with me and asked me to blurt out any questions I had. My mind went blank and I started to panic but Dr. Paul just started answering questions that most patients have while in his chair. He made sure I was completely relaxed and let my husband come back to the room to hold my hand. Instant relief. Lisbeth and Dr. Paul went out of their way multiple times to make sure I was comfortable and informed me of everything they were doing to keep me in the loop. I know laughing gas does wonders for your nerves and pain level, but I truly believe the experience I had was so incredible due to these two amazing humans taking such great care of me! I didn’t feel a single poke. Dr. Paul and Lisbeth were super careful and knowledgeable about the entire surgery and made me feel so confident that I made the correct decision in coming to this office. I will never go to another dentist while we are stationed here and I will always 100% recommend this office! The environment is very positive and uplifting! My dentist and his assistant were extremely personable. There is absolutely nothing I would have wanted differently. Thank you so much to Dr. Paul, Lisbeth, and the entire Columbia Dental staff for making this such a smooth experience for me. See you in 6 months!

I had the worst dentist do my teeth impressions and then send them off to be made. When I got them in they didn't fit they were so big and all he did was have the girl put a lot of glue on it and send me on my way. The girl at the desk tried to force me to sign this paper saying I was satisfied and I wasn't and she said it's okay honey just sign it.

Its really too bad, the dentist that worked with me for a short time, about 3-4 months was fantastic. That is the only thing going for this place. The establishment is poorly run, period. I went there in desperate need of a root canal and leaned I needed a second one as well. After numerous visits with no work done, they finally filled a huge cavity that the filling had fallen out of. All the while each time I continued to ask about my root canals. I was told numerous times it takes weeks for the insurance approval. After this went on for 3 months, I was all-of-a-sudden dropped due to them deciding not to accept my insurance anymore, in the middle of my treatment. Of course, I have Husky as I am currently unemployed. So here I am trying to get this root canal done for the last 9 months, however without the dental records I can't schedule the appointment with the surgeon. I dropped off the release in person well over a month ago. These people put you on hold for ten minutes then hang up on you. You call the number for the New London office and someone at a different location answers the phone. Right from the start I wanted at least a cleaning when I went to three appointments for no reason, couldn't do that because they don't have a hygienist. Like I said, the dentist that looks really young (I can't remember his name) is fantastic. I wish he could go work for a facility that is worthy of his talents.

My filling was done so poorly that after just about a year, it broke on a soft sugar cookie. They do not accept Husky D at this office anymore, despite being listed on the state’s website. Rather than doing a repair at this office to fix their shoddy craftsmanship, I would need to make an appointment at their Manchester branch, which is an hour away. I would honestly rather have the tooth pulled than trust this company with my teeth again.

I had an appointment scheduled for October 27th that I scheduled all the way back in April. They called me the day before to tell me that they have to cancel because their dental hygienist is on maternity leave. That is completely unprofessional considering I waited months for this appointment and I should have been notified earlier so I could look for other arrangements. Other dentists around here don’t accept patients over 21 or have waiting lists well into the middle of next year. They told me to call back in three weeks to SEE if they have any availability and had no plan to get me in ASAP considering I booked this 6 months ago. Completely unprofessional.

Everything about my experience was positive. Great office staff, friendly and efficient. Kindest dental assistant ever. Desiree kept me calm and was reassuring throughout. The Dr filling in , Dr P, made me relaxed and was clear in explaining things and helping choose the best course. I felt NO discomfort and left feeling better. I will gladly return for continued care.
