Best breakfast I've had in a while. I highly recommend the pumpkin pancakes. Waffle and home fries were amazing too. The omelette was good but pretty standard. Our server was super friendly. Definitely a must if you're in the area.

Food was filling and delicious. I had the eggs Benedict. A friends eggs were a bit under done and cold. Our server genuinely apologized and happily took the price of the eggs off of the check. The lowest floor smelled of reducing maple sap. The host, Walter, was charming, inviting and friendly. A lovely family run business. If you are in the area, definitely worth stopping in. Say "Hi" to Walter!! 😊

Ordered the French Toast and a side of the Biscuits and Gravy. Everything was amazing, fresh and delicious. The waitress was very warming and welcoming. The food came out fast and you could tell it was made right then. I would definitely come here again.

If you really want to get a taste a feel of what truly Vermont is about, this is your place. First, you have no other options but to take an amazing scenic view to get here. It’s truly set up like a real sugar house. I got the sampler with pumpkin pancakes and they were absolutely amazing!

Delicious food and fantastic service to be found at Maple Sugar and Vermont Spice! The pigs in a blanket are to die for - juicy sausage inside sweet pancakes! If you're in the area, you can't miss this place!

My first visit to Maple Sugar & Vermont Spice was a pleasant one. I ordered a Ruben sandwich which came with home fries. Everything was very good. I also got a bottle of maple syrup that is produced in-house that I’ve yet to try but I’m sure is delicious. I’d definitely come back again.

Good Americana breakfast place with a decent variety. The decor is cozy and homey. Food was good as expected of breakfast foods. I’m glad that our waitress recommended getting cheddar cheese on our takeout egg scramble since it was lactose free. (We ran out of dog food since our dog ate more of his kibble than expected on our trip, so we got him a ham and cheese egg scramble). Good experience overall.

Place tasted pretty good. About a 20 minute wait, even for the counter. Service was eh, ok. Servers seem stressed and rushed. No one was rude though. Different feel than most other places we visited during our vacation. I would still recommend visiting if you've never been here before. Plenty of country brunch options. Some cool options for pancakes as well.

Amazing. Efficient. Friendly. Satiating. Just a few of the words that come to mind after eating here. The syrup is distinctively delicious: tasted like its own unique version of something familiar. Everything was ideally cooked and prepared. This place is impressive in everyway!

Wonderful meal and warm, accommodating hosts. Great prices on our meal and the maple syrup we bought to remember our visit. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area! You will love it!

Recommended from a friend for their Syrup and had to get a Maine Blueberry Waffle! Excellent atmosphere and authentic cabin experience. Amazing staff and the gift shop made things so much more fun!

10/30/23 UPDATE: I changed my review to two stars as it's been impossible to get a table last three times I visited. There's plenty of space in the restaurant but being told not enough staff. So the owners need to raise the pay and hire more people - and if that means higher prices on the menu - then be it. Right now the situation is creating more frustration than goodness. Great spot, huge portions. Fast, easy, tasty.

Very busy place but super cute and rustic. It was 2 of us and we waited maybe 5min. We got coffee and tea right away and the food came out very fast too. We had Mendon Miler, Maple Walnut Waffle and Sausge Gravy on a Biscuit. All very tasty and filling. Great comfort food! Also,? There is a giftshop down stairs. Lots of hoodies, shirts, magnets stuffed animals, maple products, etc.

Country kitchen style breakfasts with delicious pancakes and local maple syrup. There are several pancake flavor options and they allow you to mix two flavors if you can't decide! We tried the pumpkin, maple walnut, and sugar and spice pancakes. The staff is friendly and we got a seat for two outside quickly on a Saturday morning. The hot cocoa was amazing and they even accommodated a cafe mocha request! Requisite Vermont merch sold inside.

Big portions. Cheap prices. Best breakfast potatoes and nicely cooked eggs. Slow service but friendly. Cute restaurant.

Amazing food, amazing maple syrup! We stopped here on our honeymoon roadtrip and could not be happier with the breakfast experience. We had an omelette and the sugar and spice pancakes, everything was perfect including the home fries. Our server was Kristy (not sure if spelled correctly) and she was amazing!

Went on Monday morning, 10 min wait time. I should say their waffle is out this world. I haven't had anything close to this for awhile. To be specific we had maple walnut waffle. I was excited to try Pigs in a blanket, I guess this one isn't my thing, even though with little spicy touch it turned out to yum. Great tasting coffee and cute tableware.

I got the Sugar House Sampler and substituting the buttermilk pancakes for the Sugar & Spice Pancakes. The rest of my party got Mendon Miler and Waffle topped with Blueberries. I tried a bit of everything and honestly can’t go wrong with any item on the menu! The pancakes were great as always - light and fluffy! Might try the blueberry pancakes next time since I really loved the blueberries on the waffles. And yes there will definitely be a next time and hopefully many more times after that! The service here was great! Once you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm welcome by the owner. The entire vibe is just home-y. After ordering, we got our food pretty quick. I’ve been here before and we decided to drive a bit out of our way to stop here during this trip to Vermont. Last time I was here - there was a huge wait but the great thing is they have a gift shop downstairs so you’re not just sitting/standing around waiting. This time we called ahead to put our names down so we didn’t have to wait as long.

This place is a ton of fun! When in Vermont, we must have maple syrup! We had nine people, and every dish we ordered was top notch. The waitress was delightful and gave great recommendations. Lots of cute souvenirs. Would definitely recommend.

We were in town for a Friday night wedding and this was recommended for breakfast. It is a turn the clock back (in the best way possible) restaurant. We were greeted at the door by an absolutely accommodating gentleman. Service was great. Food was delicious. My wife really enjoyed the gluten free pancakes. I'm not a huge pancake eater, but I had the pumpkin pancakes. They were outstanding. They have a nice gift store as well. If you want to visit an absolutely great place with good food, this is the place. Thanks so much for making our day.
