Travellers, this is a wonderful seafood restaurant on the water in Warwick. The food was delightful. Traditional and then with a nice twist. The baked scrod has a wonderful crumb crust that has a garlic and basil component that makes it very yummy. Especially when you hit it with some fresh lemon. It was wonderful. The clam chowder never disappoints and the sides are all delicious. The atmosphere is bustling and busy. The outside deck is lovely and overlooks the water. There are also picnic tables available on a lawn. Very scenic. Check it out. We recommend. TLDR - great seafood great atmosphere!

First time here. Came with my daughter for early dinner date around 330-4 on a Tuesday. Beautiful day so we sat outside on slightly heated deck. Would have been nice if they turned up heat near us or at least asked. Our server was Mitchell. He came over in a timely manner and We ordered our drinks along with our appetizer, 6 little necks. Following that shared the Berry salad, quahogs and a lobster roll. All the food was pretty good. Nothing spectacular. The service was decent but dropped the ball by not returning unfortunately until after we were completely finished with dinner and decided to sit inside to finish our drinks. Disappointing considering that it was not busy at all, not into season yet. I do want to say, Special Recognition to RANDY & huge thanks for seeing my daughter’s wallet that she forgot outside at table!!! Thank you so much!! Overall the atmosphere is the big draw here. The food is good but average and the service was same. I will definitely be back for another try.

My recent visit to Chelo's Waterfront and Grill left much to be desired. The evening began with a glimmer of hope as we were seated promptly at 6:29 pm. However, that glimmer quickly faded as we anxiously awaited our main course meals, which were finally served at a disheartening 7:22 pm. We started the meal with the white chowder with crab cakes, but unfortunately, it lacked the expected flavors that I had come to associate with Chelo's. My wife opted for the fish and chips, my daughter had the Mac and cheese with a grilled cheese sandwich, and I chose the ribeye sandwich. Regrettably, none of the dishes lived up to our expectations. One of the most disappointing aspects of this visit was the noticeable upcharge in prices at this waterfront and grill location compared to other Chelo's branches. It was disheartening to see that a burger, which would typically cost $12 elsewhere, was priced at a staggering $18 here. The ultimate disappointment was my ribeye steak sandwich, which arrived overcooked and distressingly soggy. The culinary letdown left me unsatisfied and questioning the quality of the food being served. To add to our dissatisfaction, we never received a refill on our beverages despite attempting to get the attention of the waitstaff multiple times. The lack of attentiveness only further dampened our experience. As if that weren't enough, we couldn't help but notice that 5 tables, which were seated after us, were already finishing their meals while we were still left waiting for our order to be served. The stark difference in service between us and those around us left us feeling overlooked and undervalued as customers. While I have always been a fan of Chelo's, this particular experience has made me hesitant to return to this location. I will opt to visit other Chelo's branches where the service is consistently top-notch and the food lives up to expectations. For now, I'll have to pass on revisiting Chelo's Waterfront and Grill.

I have been to other Chelo’s and they been great. We live an hour away and decided to try Chelo’s Waterfront. We had an amazing experience, my wife loved it, and she can’t eat fish. I had the red chowder that was awesome. The clam cakes my favorite were cooked perfect. What topped it off was loo

Enjoyed a business lunch outside in the sun. Food was great, decent prices for the portion. Awesome fries and house ketchup was a hit. Overlooking the marina. Parking was ample. Plenty of staff! Very friendly.

Five stars for location, views, atmosphere and our server was very good. Overall the food was very good, we really liked the Poseidon, everything tasted fresh! The chowder was bland so I wouldn’t get that again. The fish and chips had a very large piece of fish and everyone liked the lobster Mac and cheese, it had good chunks of lobster. The place is huge inside and out, fun to listen to live band and see people dancing.

Came here after a friend's suggestion. We were not disappointed. It was fairly busy for a Saturday afternoon. We reserved our table online. We arrived 15 minutes early and were sat a few minutes later. Quick and friendly service. Food and drinks were great. There was even live music. No complaints at all. We will definitely be back

One of my favorite waterfront restaurants, especially in the summer months. Live bands, ocean breezes, dinner, drinks, and dancing. Absolutely a great time for all ages. Slightly on the expensive side but if you consider it an event more than just dinner, it's worth it.

It may be the best outside music venue in East Greenwich! We had a wonderful time! The waitress who took care of us, allowed us to set up our on table and chairs when there were no more seats available and really took care of us! Needless to say, we took care of her! Awesome! Awesome!

Chelo's Waterfront is a favorite summer watering hole and restaurant worth visiting. The food consists of a wide variety of seafood, burgers and sandwiches and entrees perfect for the fun atmosphere. Staff are friendly and attentive. The bar staff whip up great drinks including some signature cocktails (try the frozen mudslide, and the Long Island Iced Tea). Chelo's often features live music on their outdoor stage. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and even a fire pit. Plenty of free parking, although it gets very busy, as well as valet parking too. The location is waterfront and near a couple of marinas, just a great spot all around! Reservations are highly recommended! It is a treasure of a waterfront restaurant in a great spot!!!

Love this place! Great atmosphere (live band, outdoor seating). Great food - I wish all of their locations served this menu. Obviously, a great place to go with friends, a date. There's always tons of kids here too so you can bring your kids and let them dance and play. Don't have enough good things to say. Wish it wasn't so hard to get a reservation and you weren't "timed out".

Great portion size, food was excellent. Plenty of staff to handle the lunch crowd. Located right at marina, so you get a nice breeze from the water and good views.

I’ve never been disappointed in the times I’ve visited here. I always eat outdoors and it’s such a lovely view and space. The live music can be a little loud, but still enjoyable. I usually order the shrimp scampi. It could have a little bit more flavor in my opinion, a little on the bland side, but with a little garlic or pepper added in (or whatever your taste is) it would be a hit! Came out hot, still was delicious to me. The side salad it came with was massive in itself, left full! And the strawberry daiquiri was the perfect amount of refreshing for the weather that day. Also not pictured, but the stuffed quahogs and clam cakes are also a yummy app!

What an amazing experience!! We came to celebrate my Grandmothers birthday. We were seated outside at a picnic table overlooking the marina. The weather was perfect, we stayed for 2 hours. We had no one around us it seemed so private. The waitress was kind, very attentive, and smiled every time she greeted us. She took her time taking my grandmothers order, & suggesting a dessert. It was cheese cake topped with fresh strawberries for the win!! The waitress lit a candle on the cake so we could sing happy birthday. She even took our picture! My Grandmother really felt special. The food was delicious. My Grandmother got clam cakes & chowder, my mom got calamari, I got the summer salad and customized it to make it vegan. We all left happier then when we arrived! What a great time.

Could not have asked for a better time. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was great. And the weight staff was phenomenal. Definitely will be going back and definitely you should try this place. It has a nice boat Harbor right there that you can stand out and look at all the boats coming and going. A great little summer spot. Oh and by the way, if you get the strawberry shortcake, you will be one happy camper!

I love this place in the summer. Waterview, great outdoor area with fire pits, a stage and dance floor, live music on the weekends usually. Tends to get pretty busy so always make reservations if you are looking for a table. The food is amazing, I highly recommend if you like seafood. And they are known for their mudslides.

Very nice experience. Staffs were friendly & attentive. We had the Whole belly clam & Poke bowl. Clams were fresh & delicious. The Poke bowl was small serving. It was good. Not bad but would rather order it at a different restaurant. Chelo is great for American menu.

Food and service are very good. I gave a lower rating on service because four bartenders pass you by before one asks if they can help you. But I highly recommend this location for a summer stop.

If you are ooking for a reasonable place to grab something to eat not too far from Providence airport, Chelo's is worth considering. It was about 15 minutes away so not a typical airport restaurant, but not far either. It was a nice day so we were interested in outdoor seating. They have an extensive patio that overlooks a local marina. The wait staff were friendly, and the food was served in a timely manner. The seared tuna salad was well prepared and fresh. I could have wished for some darker Muslim greens, most of the salad was just romaine, however the flavor was excellent. The fish-and-chips was a solid choice. In some regards it's listed as a waterfront restaurant, that's a bit questionable. You certainly have good views if the marina but you really don't have a view of the bay. Neither is there seating right on the water. There is free on site parking. When we were there, the restaurant was probably at 30% capacity and the parking lot was probably 50% full, so I imagine on popular weekend days parking can be tight. The entrance is handicapped accessible though there are not automatic doors.

My husband and I were there Saturday night with my Mother and Aunt .The food was great .. But being in food service myself i observe to much.. The young staff was wrapping the silverware in napkins while grabbing the utensils with bare hands and running off to do other things back to the utensils with bare hands, on their phones.. no sanitizing at all.. sitting near the bar I watched as the bartenders and wait staff putting fruits in alcoholic beverages with bare hands .. i did speak to our waitress about this before leaving and let her know I would be contacting the DOH..Management should have been more visable .

Last Saturday, 9/4, i called chelo's on the waterfront to see if there was anything available to eat for 5-5:30pm for my birthday. Upon calling in i was greeted with a rude voice. The girl advised there was nothing open and that everyone needs to go online to make a reservation and hung up. I went online and there was nothing until 8pm, way too late to eat dinner for us. We ended up having to go to another restaurant. My sister ended up going to this location last night and they did not have to make a reservation and were offered a seat at the bar or picnic tables. There was no wait what so ever for her. The fact that i was not offered these other "non-reservation" options is a big deal to me. Lost my business that day and for the rest of their existence.

Been to Chelo’s many times, but this is a bit different. A more seafood-oriented menu, on the warf. The place looks like a seaside restaurant, and has beautiful outdoor seating and bars. Campfires add to the overall experience. The food was good, and a bit more upscale, while still keeping the family favorites. The clam cakes, the steamers and even the fish and chips were great.

  • 4/5 Ji K. 3 years ago on Google
I have to say that Chelo’s has improved over the years. Their clam chowder is now real good. And their clam cakes Rock. My favorite item is the fish Reuben sandwich. And I also like their Cobb salad.

We were there tonight for dinner took almost 20 minutes before a serve came over to our table they brought us water then they came back for the drink order we ordered up appetizers and food. Appetizers came out pretty quick and we're good. Then the food came out that was fine also but does service did not clean off the table with our appetizer dishes and we asked for condiments it took a while before they brought them to the table. I think the service was a little below par.

This is the spot to be at along the water!! Food was really good. The service was amazing. They have parking, which can get packed because everyone was to be here during the warm summer months. They have a live band playing Friday nights. Clean bathrooms. Two fire pits outside and a nice view to watch the sunset. The outdoor eating area has two levels and you can eat at the picnic tables in the lawn as well. Outdoor area with limited seating. This place is fabulous. Shouts to my server Katelyn you are truly wonderful.
